  1. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! THANKS CUBS!!!

TZUKI STEALS THE SHOW!!! Where else will you find a guy that can do 3 innovative spots in a row just in his first exchange? UNBELIEVABLE! I should have seen it coming since I totally forgot this was the reuniting of Mascarita Jr./Mini Psicosis who had insane chemistry back in AAA. That push-off into monkey flip position into a Misteriorana was UNREAL! And the second rope springboard tornillo into an armdrag would have come up PERFECTLY had Mini Black made a better catch but still it was insanely innovative. Isn’t it great how someone as small as Tzuki has such great ring positioning too? It was as if HE was leading the rudos through all the exchanges!

Seems like the only thing cut from the first fall was the opening exchange (photos show Atomo/Pierrothito going at it). Dorada/Damiancito 333’s matwork was realy good. Dorada’s dive was NUTS! Great job catching by Damiancito 333… or not!

Atomo’s opening spot in the second fall was CRAZY! You can tell he’s quite green though. Only room for improvement now! Mini Black needs to be arrested for trying to kill the tiny guys with that legdrop off the ropes! Did you hear the boo’ing?

We missed the third fall comeback but at least it didn’t go straight to the finish. Dorada was NUTS here. Fucking shame the cameras blew catching Tzuki’s lighting fast asai moonsault into the first row! I liked Atomo’s dive a lot too. And of course… RANA TO THE FLOOR! MASCARITA DORADA! Finish was very good to setup last night’s rematch.

That match was exactly what I wanted to see! Hopefully they go one better for the rematch though!:D Maybe it’ll even make regular CMLL TV which still seems scheduled for 3 hours!

And of course with Cadena Tres showing top 4 from Tuesday, next Saturday should have even MORE MINI’S!!!

    ~TZUKI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Guess I should also comment on the lineups…

Tuesday – Mini’s in a TV match! This could be quite the year for mini’s if this channel keeps showing 2 hours worth of Tuesday shows. Pierroth back in action? How can he wrestle and commentate on the show? I wonder if he’s the one booking these Tuesday shows? If all the rudos win the undercard matches and La Mascara goes over in the main, there is your answer.:) I hope La Mascara doesn’t go over though. Azteca needs to beat him clean and they should use it to push him as more of a top card guy.

Friday – NO MINI’S??? WTF??? THEY NEVER GET… oh right… Pequeno Reyes Del Aire in one week! So obviously this is just a filler show waiting for the big one.;) Marcela teaming with the ‘C’ team tecnicas (who were both rudos a week ago, no?) could be NEW and NEW is often interesting. Not a fan of the top card stuff at all. Shocker/Garza is obviously going exactly where Guerrero/Garza went last year. Nowhere.

Should be about time to start building a new Sunday feud up, hm?

If they stick to last year’s schedule, Reyes Del Aire is coming up in 7 weeks-ish!

  3. The segunda from Tuesday was really good! Much improved over the awful one that aired last week. And with the mini’s occupying the slot next week it should only get better!

Diamante Negro Jr. looks really good in the ring. He’s the same guy that played Talisman Jr. on the Gimnasio Nuevo Leon DVD’s opposing La Sombra when he worked as Brillante Jr.. He might have also worked as a fake Espanto Jr. in the same building, I gotta check my DVD’s to make sure.

  4. Super Nova just cut the worst promo ever.

“Why are you going to win tonight?”

“We’re going to win tonight because we’re gonna beat Virus, Loco Max and Nosferatu!”

    Right.

  5. Holy shit Flash just had an AMAZING exchange with Nosferatu. And Stuka Jr./Virus did some great matwork early in the first fall.

  6. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! They are saying on the Martinete boards that the mini’s match from last night made regular Galavision in Mexico today!

  7. Yeah, on the whole that was a pretty cool show tonight on CadenaTres.

I quite enjoyed the opener. Like Rob said, Diamante Negro looked pretty damn good on first impressions, which was a nice surprise as i was not expecting too much for some reason. I was thinking another Skandalo or Mentallo. so that was nice, even if he is a bit plain/generic looking. Metalico was good too, even if he could have varied things a bit with his dives!

At the end of the tercera i felt a bit disappointed, as it looked like it was going to be awesome, but kinda turned to shit after a good and reasonably long first fall, with the 3rd caida being particularly annoying and anti-climatic in it’s briefness and. But looking back, it was still good for what it was. Virus 2K7 may once again be my favourite wrestler in the world now he’s back home as a rudo, and even when he’s not doing much, he’s still awesome beyond words. I’m always pleased to see Flash also, as he’s a ton of fun, even if it was only shown briefly in that match today. And Nosferatu? – well, he’s not my favourite rudo or anything but i still have a hard time believing that he is Chamafuckingco Valaguez junior, the shittiest, most pathetic wrestler not named La Mascara to have worked CMLL this decade! He’s probably my most improved pick for this year.

I found the semi a bit uninteresting, thanks to you know who being the focus. Also, despite being a big favourite of mine, Sangre Azteca, in his new spot further up the card, has gotten kinda stale and boring this year too (Controversy!!)- so this feud just isn’t doing it for me. At least Valiente and the awesome Misterioso were there to keep me entertained in parts though.

And finally, i thought the main was pretty fun – probably because i had no expectations. Villanos were ok for a change and it was all pretty inoffensive, if not great lucha.

I really hope this show is here for the long term in a 2hr slot!

Pics are up, good to see quite a few of the opener seeing as we’ll never see it in motion. The pics made it look like it was good, and the same goes for the segunda.

BTW – we all look silly now for moaning when Mascarita Dorada came in last month and was put in openers….. meh, i don’t mind! :D

  8. Yeah, Diamante and Metalico did stand out as rivals in that match.

During the main event, Dos Caras had to get Bucanero off one of the Villanos after the fall was over. Pierroth didn’t miss that in the commentary. Later, when Bucanero was attacked backstage by Villanos, I asked myself, “Where are his partners”? That’s why I’m wondering if he’ll turn on the tecnicos.

This Cadena Tres stuff seems pretty organized. They started the episode off reminding us that La Mascara and Sangre Azteca are feuding, and showed some footage.

  9. DOH. I wanna read Henrik’s comments but I don’t want to read about any picture spoilers from the mini’s match last night since I’ve avoided looking while hoping Chui or HVS put the match up today or tomorrow.:/

Did read the Cadena Tres stuff…

    – Yeah, that tercera quickly generated into nothingness. Nosferatu is indeed quite improved. Has Satanico ever been affiliated with anyone who hasn’t turned to gold (compared to how they used to be)? Mascara Magica would be the only one I think since he dropped big time when he became an Infernal even though he got his first ever main event run.

    – I missed most of the main while getting ready for the hockey game but what I saw was pretty decent.

    – Mini’s next week unedited!:D (had to toss that in again!)

    – I don’t mind Azteca. I think he’s still awesome but the quality of guys he gets to work with isn’t so awesome. He always seems to be paired up against stiffs like La Mascara, Maximo and Volador Jr. (sorry) which gives him little time to shine. I didn’t mind the last La Mascara/Sangre Azteca match so I have higher expectations for this one considering they are main eventing Arena Mexico for the first time in their careers, even if it’s gonna be in front of 250 people.

  10. In the radio commentary, they kind of teased Garza challenging Dos Caras Jr. for the CMLL Heavyweight. A victory next week could set him up for one. Caras should defend the belt once a month.

  11. BTW, in response to something else Henrik said… and I know this is gonna be funny coming from me who was the one yelling like crazy when his Arena Mexico debut match didn’t air…

We really haven’t missed ANYTHING from Mascarita Dorada in CMLL as of yet. His Arena Coliseo debut was a dry-run dark match. His Arena Mexico debut had a few highlights on that new Lucha News show that Alfredo tapes. A trios match involving him at Arena Mexico had extended highlights on DeporTV. Now he’s had two of his big trios matches air in consecutive weeks. He’ll be on Cadena Tres next week and of course the week after is the Pequeno Reyes Del Aire and you have to PRESUME a title match with Damiancito 333 the following week or two.

That said – the clips making the news show and Cadena Tres showing up were completely random so I don’t take back my overreaction at all.

Let’s just hope CMLL keeps it up b/c this has been a great month for the CMLL minis and everyone is getting a chance to see how talented they really are.
