12/15-17 Lucha Times

chart

AAA: A Christmas parade is scheduled for Saturday’s timeslot, and coincidentally repeats exactly where the overnight airing should be. Lucha de Vuelta is on the schedule, and we’ll presume the next episode airs there (Zorro vs Cibernetico, Zorro gets a title shot if he wins)

FSE-US: Fox Sports (Espanol) is running it’s award show Sunday night, in prime lucha time. They’ve moved lucha to the afternoon with a repeat overnight. Don’t have matches confirmed for this show, but it should be more Leono/Mexico build in the opener and the Villanos back together vs Koslov/Sagrado/Volador in the main.

Next week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, they’re repeating two episodes a night (at 8 and 9 pm eastern). All episodes are in one run from the spring which definitely will include Stuka vs Jeque’s mask match and has either Leono/Mogur’s hair match or Texano’s rudo turn. The descriptions were wrong for so long, it’s tough to figure out how accurate they are now, but that’s the general time frame.

CAN52: Back to the normal four airings. Terror/Virus vs Felino/Valiente/Super Nova (who could make two shows this weekend) in the opener, and the main is heavyweights + Volador. (I guess Texano’s a LH?)

————-

CMLL-MEX: No problem with Cadena3 running against this show this week, because the main show isn’t on till 7pm. 2 hour show, so probably 3 matches and no minis.

AAA-MEX: They’re finally just one show away from Guerra de Titanes. This one is the three way cage match.

FSE-Mex: Rudo Trueno in the main event!

Cadena3: top 3? I have no way of knowing at this point.

  1. “CMLL-MEX: No problem with Cadena3 running against this show this week, because the main show isn’t on till 7pm. 2 hour show, so probably 3 matches and no minis.”

WHY CUBS, WHY??? Chui said it was 1:50 last week and they aired the top 4. WHY MUST YOU BE SO CRUEL?

  2. Also, not sure if this is wrestling or not but esmas has a show scheduled for 2 hours after CMLL airs which is called “La Lucha En El Calle”.

  3. Both TV Guide and Esmas says CMLL is airing at 15:00 hrs. And for 90 minutes… lol, I just find out that Cadena 3 actually DOES air in my cable.

  4. So CMLL Televisa overlaps CMLL Cadena 3 by thirty minutes.

??? What channel does your cable system air Cadena 3 on?

  5. I used TV Guide’s Mexico City Cablevision listings and they gave me that 7 pm. I guess I won’t use them anymore.

  6. It’s 14, but they don’t have detailed programming, it just says “Cadena 3”. They’ve been there for a while but my tv watching for a week not considering lucha libre amounts to… 20 minutes.

  7. Unless there are some changes, FSE overlaps with IWRG and CMLL Gala overlaps with Cadena 3 for half hour…

The whole Sunday Cadena 3 overlaps with AAA. ACM on MM overlaps with watching paint dry.

Seems it is time to debunk the “Tuesdays shows are the best and worked like in the old days”. If anything they should be more rushed, since it starts at 8:30 PM and most fans have work or school the following day.

  8. I canceled my MM subscription on Sunday, after seeing how bad it is. I’m not expecting great tv, but at least let the viewers hear the crowd noise and sound of wrestlers hitting canvas. MM does the commentary in studio, and they don’t mix the crowd noise with commentary because they are incompetent. Multiidiotas.
