We’ve got five matches who don’t matter a bit and the big TITLE MATCH. Ovaciones says this is Lady Apache’s seventh defense, but only lists four of them – the same four as on the luchawiki! Eyes on your own paper! In all the massive prematch hype, they’re pretty much respectful of each other but confident of their victory.
ESTO could’ve picked a picture where it didn’t look like they were falling asleep. Just saying. Anyway, I’m rooting for Amapola so much here that I can’t separate that to objectively have a pick on this match. If you’re rooting for Dark Angel, I think you’re rooting for an Amapola title win, so Sarah might get a shot (after six months of Lady Apache challenges.)
In Other Action, the main event is a pseudo rematch of the tag team title match, as well as Averno vs Mistico. There may be something tangible breaking out from that main event: CMLL announced the year end show will be on 12/07, and we don’t have a Perro/Shocker match to head in direction. CMLL will only have two more Friday’s to set stuff up after this show, so things really have to start in motion.
The year end show being on 12/07 means we’re going to have a lot of filler weeks. Oh well.
ESTO writes about CMLL and others aiding out flood victims with food and other supplies. As part of those efforts, wrestlers will be standing in front of Arena Mexico to accept donations, and those who donate will get a free ticket. If that’s correct, Arena Mexico should have a huge house tonight.
Mr. Reyes has photos from last night’s Arena Naucalpan and the aftermath of Mini Olimpico’s mask win (yes, he did win), but I’m still looking for a name or photo of unmasked Gitanito. Haven’t see AAA TV results yet either.

December 7 being “Sin Piedad” more or less seals Amapola’s hair fate, imo, since is the only thing they have going for them right now. Sarah taking it would make sense, but this is CMLL so I wouldn’t be surprised if Lady Apache ends winning it, I wonder if Lady Apache suddenly being back in CMLL programming is because they’re afraid she might jump back to AAA (is she still with Electro Shock?).
Good booking would have Amapola actually taking Apache’s hair and then losing to Dark Angel in the season opener, but I think we’ll see Perros vs High Society being featured during the off season and at the season opener.
They ought to give donators a 10 week ticket deal so that ArMex is not that empty the next couple of months.
BTW, Todo x Todo will air in Cable television a week later (if it actually takes place, I guess).

I think something is screwed up with the formatting b/c the Apache/Amapola match is in giant letters on both my browsers…
Figuring out the Dec. 7 main event is easy. Just ask yourself this simple question: “What is the worst possible main event CMLL bookers can come up with?” Go from there! Be sure to remember to build up a mask match that won’t happen as well as your semi-main event.
FOR EXAMPLE – I’ll go with Blue Panther vs Ultimo Guerrero in a mask match being built up only to end with a double main event of Dos Jr. vs Terrible for the CMLL Heavyweight Title and some sort of parejas incriebles match with Lady Apache/La Amapola vs Dark Angel/Hiroka w/ Hiroka getting shaved.
I’m guessing gold will be on the line on 12/7. CMLL should start building an angle for Anniversary 75 now. Perro vs. Shocker hair would be big with build. Those are two of the biggest names in Lucha, no mater what we know or think about Shocker’s personal problems, or how much we know about Perro’s “workrate”.
But neither is a draw now. A hair match with normal prices might sell, but the buildup will have lots and lots of empty seats, which is what CMLL certainly wants to avoid, they’d tried that feud like 3 times now and it has never draw. I doubt it would be worthy of anniversary even more if they want to rise prices like last two.
Perro vs. Shocker hair should draw a sellout. This year’s anniversary show had a cage match with no real big feuds, and it soldout. And even though we all criticized the 74th Anniversary, it ended up drawing well, and giving us a good show too.

All of them are waaaaaaay bigger than Shocker vs Aguayo.
Stip matches nearly always sellout, even Aguila-Damian vs Tarzan Boy-Rey Bucanero and the 06 Cage Match with middcarders sold out. Only match that drew half house was headlined by Shocker last December. This year anniversary, even with that show selling out, they probably ended losing money because of how poor the three weeks earlier and the fallout were (no one cared to show up to see the unmasked LizJr).
They seem to be pushing Tozcano-Black Warrior vs Shocker-Rey Bucanero. I wonder if they might make it a 4 way match… in that case, I gues Rey is losing.

Geez, that was the worst built up match ever. It looks like it’ll be a fun match (no Perro/Garza!) but it seems like a match for the guys CMLL feels sorry for since they have nothing else for them to do.
Momentos had only the ending of a fall with Mascarita on it. Although they showed spots in the same way as the ones where they introduced MD.
The match was kind of good, but the crowd was not into it that much and Sombra was wasted, sort of… when Shocker grabbed the mic to issue the challenges, crowd booed him, so I don’t think this will have that much impact, Santito surely is breathing easier now.

That 12/07 show is shit. Hardly worthy of year-end status.
