11/13: Gudalajara, TNA, Santo, Tulancingo, magazines, Demon

CMLL (SUN) 11/11 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [ix @ box y lucha]
1) Milenio b Virgo
2) Depredador (Guadalajara) & Exterminador b Ebola & Golden
3) Infierno & Malefico b Gallo & Mach 1
4) Maximo, Metal Blanco, Super Nova b Angel Blanco, Toxico, Virus
5) Alex Koslov, Rayman, Rey Bucanero b Black Warrior, Hijo de Lizmark, Texano Jr.

Mach I turned on Gallo, so there’s the rooster’s next feud. Warrior pinned Rayman in the main and asked for a title shot. That’s the tag titles, right?

You know how I said it’d be cooler if Dr. Wagner wandered thru TNA instead of Konnan Big. He (and Silver King) did and it was. Though they argue with James Storm, they’ll be facing AJ Styles and Samoa Joe on 12/14 (at this point.)

Box Y Lucha has a three part interview with Nigma about his career, and with Juvi about the show he’s promoting on Saturday.

Ovaciones previews tonight’s Arena Mexico show by hyping Mistico and teasing a Valiente/Sangre title match spinning out of the main event. That would be fun.

The unnamed Japaneses wrestler El Hijo del Santo will face (and beat) on Wednesday for the WBC lucha championship turns out to be Gran Hamada.

El Sol de Tulancingo has a multipart series about lucha libre in Tulancingo. I can find links to part 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

Magazines
Box Y Lucha 2844 has Pimpi claiming discrimination and Babe Face in bad shape
Luchas 2000 #394 has Valiente winning a mask (over Explosion 2000 on November 1, in Aguascalientes) and LA Park
super luchas #239 has an interivew with Dr. Wagner.

Almost forgot about this – Blue Demon Jr. renewed his deal with Coca Cola for the Full Throttle drink. Notice how the press release talks about the deal being done with Blue Demon Jr. and no one else is mentioned.

  1. Did anyone notice that on AAA this weekend, they digitized the on-screen graphic crawlers? That was the first time I’ve noticed that. And the ring-intro music is not the original music. Sounds like they’re using cover bands to compose the music for all the ring intro music. Still love the Apache music most of all.

  2. Man, That Wagner Bros. AJ/Joe match should be damn good.

I noticed that too Triple L. Because everytime Alan Stone comes out the Announcers sing his theme.
