11/11: DeporTV, Accion, lineups, FSE

Ovaciones didn’t update their lucha stuff for Sunday. I never wrote about Arturo’s column but there’s not much to write. He promises Irapuato results on Monday, that’ll be good.

DeportTV: they extended the deadline to 6:30pm. So if you taped this and didn’t watch it live, you had a whole 90 minutes to watch it if you recorded it on TV. This despite it being on the internet forever and ever when they put up on Thursday. This means I may miss this show in future weeks.

Tuesday’s crowd looks like a usual Tuesday’s Coliseo crowd in Arena Meixco (empty in some shots, very empty in other shots)

4) Ephesto, Máscara Año 2000, Sangre Azteca b Felino, Mictlan, Sagrado
– not much of note. Rudos win with everyoneg etting pinned at the same time.

2) Atomo, Pequeño Olímpico, Último Dragoncito b Mini Black Warrior, Pequeño Violencia, Pierrothito
– no Atomo and very little Warrior highlights. Atomo does appear to be tiny. Usual tag stuff from the other four. Dragon does a pescado, and we miss Olimpico’s dive.

3) Fabián el Gitano, Stuka Jr., Valiente b Loco Max, Ohara, Shigeo Okumura
– Loco Max is black Spiderman. We get a run of Stuka offense, and Valiente monkey flipping Stuka off the apron into a dive – that’s nuts. Valiente gets in Asai Moonsault of his own. Stuka beats Loco Max for the match.

5) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Shocker b Atlantis, Black Warrior, Universo 2000
– Lots of Dos/Universo. Warrior and Panther still appear to be feuding, and Dos’ finisher still appears to be having his German suplex blocked so he can do something else.

Accion:

CMLL Main Event – they had to find a photo of Texano. Some wrestling, some Perros goffing around for the cameras. Negro and Panther tap out Texano and Aguila with cross armbreaker variants, and that’s it. I think we’re supposed to be intrigued by Shocker/Perro at this point.

AAA for Orizaba: Electro, Mesais, Zorro vs Parka, Octagon, Gronda – so we see the Hell Brothers in the ring and Kenzo, Niebla, Konnan, and X-Pac all wandering to ringside. Not sure they used the right graphic. Maybe they did, it’s tough to tell with AAA. Anyway, HBs get beat up some and there’s no apparent finish.

Last week’s was goofed up as well – there was a Super Comando trios show from 10/07. It’s on the recaps to come.

5 thoughts to “11/11: DeporTV, Accion, lineups, FSE”

  1. I’m happy DeporTV followed them to Arena Mexico. I had a strange feeling they were only allowed to tape in Arena Coliseo. Good to see they squeezed in 4 matches too. Let’s hope that sticks for next week as well with more mini’s action!

I am somewhat amused that the Arena Neza segunda is the same match as the Arena Mexico opener the next night.

Bye bye Gitanito’s mask. It’s been a big year for mini’s apuesta matches.

Multifacetico must be the new gimmick Chui was talking about. Well… old gimmick since the original died and they had a second version many years back. This might be Cammora’s new gimmick with Fantastik playing Bogeman.

That Sunday Coliseo shows looks unbelievably awful. Hopefully Leono takes Mr. Mexico’s hair next Sunday and we finish that dumb feud off.

    Gemelos Fantasticos? That seems farmiliar.

Super Comando trios match! WOO-HOO! That AND a Sombra/Volador tag last week? I like that. And more Sombra this week!

  2. Coliseo appears to be closing the upper level for most shows. I bet they’re doing 1,250 paid a night, if that.

Saw AAA this weekend. Toreo definitely had plenty of empty seats that could be seen when the spot lights panned the building.

  3. Verano de Escandalo was not held in El Toreo, but in Nuevo Progreso. The Peña Memorial was underpromoted, they had it while Verano de Escandalo was airing on TV, so it only came up like a random show, with no build up at all. The report from Esto said that it was a “muy buena entrada”, so it was not that bad.

Still, Mexico City is burned out, last Friday ArMex crowd was not good, Superluchas said that it was because “of the Tuesdays shows”. AAA did very good at Aguascalientes and Orizaba, and I guess outside of Mexico City, shows can still draw well, like the HEB cards (well, those were free shows), although Hijo del Perro Aguayo drew nothing at a show at Merida, acording to the pics in el Martinete…
