11/10: Mexico, lineups, GdR

CMLL (FRI) 11/09 Arena Mexico [ovaciones, ESTO]
1) Atomo & Mascarita Dorada b Mini Black Warrior & Mini Damian 666
2) Amapola b Dark Angel, Princesa Sujei, Marcela, Hiroka, Luna Magica, Mima Shimoda, Rosa Negra [ciber]
3) Alex Koslov, Felino, Volador Jr. DQ Misterioso II, Olimpico, Sangre Azteca
4) Black Warrior, Lizmark Jr., Ultimo Guerrero b Marco Corelone, Rey Bucanero, Sombra
5) Blue Panther, Negro Casas, Shocker b Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mr. Aguila, Texano Jr.

Misterioso hit the referee to end his match.

Cibernetico came down to Amapola and Dark Angel, who came up just short again. Title match next week.

CMLL (TUE) 11/13 Arena Mexico Lineup
1) Super Tri, Super Camaleon vs Caligula, Messala
2) Shockercito, Pequeno Olimpico, Ultimo Dragoncito vs Mini Damian 666, Pierrothito, Mini VIolencia
3) Leono, Tony Rivera, Fabian el Gitano vs Loco Max, Nitro, Arkangel
4) Sombra, La Mascara, Felino vs Damian 666, Terrible, Ohara
5) Mistico, Marco Corelone, Valiente vs Ultimo Guerrero, Black Warrior, Sangre Azteca

This is Valiente’s big main event shot. (Though Sangre’s there too. It IS a Tuesday.) Do Super Tri and Super Camaleon actually exist?

CMLL (FRI) 11/16 Arena Mexico Lineup
1) Rayo Tapatio I, Rayo Tapatio II vs Polvora, Vaquero
2) Super Nova, Metalico, Neutron vs Virus, Nitro, Loco Max
3) Volador Jr., Sagrado, Valiente vs Mephisto, Ephesto, Misterioso II
4) Lady Apache vs Amapola [CMLL WOMEN]
5) Rey Bucnaero, Sombra, Shocker vs Toscano, Lizmark, Black Warrior
6) Mistico, Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr. vs Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero, Averno

Unless they juggle things, this means the cibernetico will air on CAN52 and the title match it sets up MAY air on the main show. That’s a bit annoying.

Marco Corelone in a suit.

CMLL Guerrreros del Ring #103 has
11/02 Mexico: Máximo, Sagrado, Último Dragón b Averno, Mephisto, Olimpico
11/04 Coliseo: Atlantis, Lizmark Jr., Último Guerrero b Blue Panther, Marco Corelone, Rey Bucanero
No Outside The Ring bit again. Maybe it’s been canceled.

  1. The CMLL news page mentions Valiente won his first mask match recently. I don’t remember hearing anything about that…

  2. I’m not into next Friday’s card, sure, it has some good names of it, but some those are of people who were attractive but I’m not really hyped for them right now.

It would look as if an Amapola vs Dark Angel hair match is what they’re pushing for the end of year special, would need to have Sarah as Lady’s second, and getting involved somehow, the problem, is that last night’s ladies match seemed to be lacking in heat, I guess 2 years working in downpushing Angel has worked as it doesn’t look as if the crowd was into it at all.

The rest of the card looks blah to me since it doesn’t go anywhere.

  3. Yep, all of that in 75 minutes. I heard a month ago that Televisa was threatening CMLL with cutting short their time slot because of the low ratings, I guess it was true…

  4. O’Campo says the women’s Torneo went 25 minutes. So if you figure a 75 minute show only really gets 60 minutes or so after commercials + 5 minutes for Momentos and other segments, 55 minutes for 3 matches. I’m guessing it was clipped to starting with eliminations so only 11 minutes aired… if that.

  5. All matches were clipped. At least, they didn’t use intros this time, but they did 3 Tony’s segments, and at the end they wasted a few minutes with Perrillo trying to fight a camera man…

The Cibernetico was the one most edited, of course. And Momentos Estelares had Zero Mascarita Dorada spots, but they had to make space for Leon-o elbow drop finisher, so it is perfectly understable….

  6. Woohoo – Mascarita pics up – i guess they’re not trying to pretend he doesn’t exist to anyone not in the arena after all. Check out that moonsault and his usual suicide rana! :)

  7. Some spots may make Momentos b/c they aired on the big video screen which shows what is being taped. Sometimes you can see during openers in the background the video screen is either off (which means no Momentos) or the announcers are doing the show opening (which means what is pictured is what we’ll see in the background).

Of course they could always AIR THE OPENER on GdR instead of the Arena Mex tercera…

  8. I wouldn’t know till I actually see a full match of his but I think IWRG put Fantastik under the hood as Bogeman now that he’s back from Japan. A photo in SuperLuchas seems to indicate this to be the case…

  9. IWRG/Zona de Combate had some promos for a Yellow/Golden colored masked guy which might be Fantastik since he looked way more like a flyer guy than Bogeman…

  10. Bogeman was being played by Cammora who used to wear a yellow/golden mask so who knows. The photo in the new SuperLuchas has Bogeman doing the Fantastik dive that nobody else does where he leaps over the top and does a somersault to the floor. The original Bogeman could only pull that off if he screwed up an over the top rope dive…

  11. I think if Televisa was making threats, they would just fuck with CMLL and pull them off the air, or air them late. And if Televisa was “not happy” with CMLL’s ratings, why would they continuously choose to air CMLL on PPV as opposed to AAA? And until IBOPE comes out with ratings for CMLL vs. AAA each week, I’d put little stock in the rumors of CMLL’s ratings decline, without real numbers attached to them.

  12. “”””””
they continuously choose to air CMLL on PPV as opposed to AAA?
    “”””””

Logistics. Actually, Televisa was close to pulling AAA off the air a few years back, but they just gave them a 1 hour show, and then they rebounded.

CMLL could easily have 4 hourseach Saturday, but they air video music shows (with no commercials at all) to fill up space.

  13. I remember when AAA almost lost TV. CMLL almost did too. I think that’s what lead to AAA going to one fall matches for tv, which was smart on Pena’s part. With one-hour, 2-out-of-3 fall matches would seem rushed, and not allow for all the promos, angles, etc…. to fit on a show.
