11/09: Neza, new CMLL wrestlers, Blue Demon Jr. at a gas station near you

CMLL (THU) 11/01 Arena Neza Results [the Gladiatores]
1) Diturbio b Angus
2) Hermano Muerte I b El Extrano
3) Mini Olimpico, Bracito de Oro, Bam Bam DQ Mini Damian 666, Gitanito, Pequeno Violencia
4) Stuka Jr., Super Nova, Sagrado b Skandalo, Virus, Dr. X
5) Shocker, Dos Caras Jr., La Mascara b Toscano, Olimpico, Black Warrior

Tecnicos won the first fall of the minis match, and rudos got themselves DQed throwing Mini Olimpico out of the ring onto Bam Bam.

CMLL (SUN) 11/04 Arena Neza Lineup [the Gladiatores]
1) Insecto, Ambar b Black Danger, Black Heart
2) Principe Celeste, Lobo Azul b Luis Cirio, Tony Cirio
3) Dr. Karonte Jr., Luis Cirio Jr. b Super Tri, Chac-Mol
4) Ramstein, Apocalipsis, Super Comando DQ Maximo, Rayo Tapatio I, Rayo Tapatio II
5) Lizmark Jr., Ultimo Guerrero, Atlantis DQ Negro Casas, Blue Panther, Rey Bucanero

Ramstein faked a foul from Maximo. Ultimo Guerrero faked a foul in the main event as well.

A couple of the newer CMLL guys are profiled today. Ovaciones writes about Atomo. He’s 18 and 1.15m (3′ 9″) tall. If that’s accurate, he’s significantly smaller than Mascarita Sagrada original (1.35m) and Tzuki (1.21m) Atomo says he’s from Torreon where he wrestled as Morito. I do remember seeing KeMorito once mentioned; I went to search my results before I realized search was done. Stupid database connection. Ultimo Guerrero discovered Atomo, and he’s not the Atomo of the 80s, obviously.

ESTO profiles Diamante Negro Jr., who’s dropped the Jr. at least for this interview. That seems to be common practice for names that didn’t have big runs in Mexico City. The diamond on Negro’s mask has five sides, which are said to represent passion, aggressiveness, strength, dedication, and professionalism. (As opposed to people who have a diamond on their mask just because they think it looks cool.) Diamante Negro previously wrestled as Zaracatan Jr.

The director who’s finished the Atlantis direct to home DVD movie wants to do one with the Dinamitas next and Perro Aguayo Jr. next.

Another (or the same but related differently) Blue Demon Jr. interview as hype for his appearances in Atlantis this weekend. It’s too late to tell you this now, but Blue Demon Jr. was signing autographs at a BP gas station yesterday. Lots of Wal-Marts on his schedule.

I keep forgetting to write about this (because I can’t find the link), but Blue Demon Jr. graffiti-ed Santo’s store in Mexico City last week, as hype for the Todos X Todos show. You know, the show where those two guys may or may not actually face each other. It actually wouldn’t surprise me if they did face each other and they just did a horrible job of building up.

Gladiatores (Lord_Grishnack @ Satanico’s Mansion) have talked to the TNA Latin American promoters and they’re saying AJ Styles vs Mistico is still in negotiations. Dr. Wagner Jr. is scheduled to face Samoa Joe on the Monterrey show – maybe Joe can not win heavyweight championships in three different countries this year.

  1. Yep, that would be KeMorito, morrito is slang for “little brat”, but KeMorito is a play of word on Kemonito and Ke-Morrito and El Moro, since he worked as his mascot.

The weird thing is that there’s another Zaracatan Jr working down here… I don’t know if he’s related to Diamante Negro. I’m starting to believe the rumor that Ultimo Guerrero is now the top guy in CMLL (just behind Negro Casas).

  2. Short answer: No.

Well, he’s Ultimonito, I guess he’s fine for a mascot, but I’ve only seen him twice or so as a wrestler, he was OK because he was being carried by some old guys who are not even minis but bumped their asses of… but I don’t think he will really be a standout in CMLL unless he’s improved a lot (he might since they’re saying he’s just 18 years old).

Speaking of minis, am I the only one to find it odd that sworn Ultimo Guerrero’s archnemesis, Guerrero Zulu worked with the minis last week?

  3. Guerrero Zulu has a mini, Guerrerito Zulu. I noticed his name turned up right after the mask loss. Revenue streams~~~~~~~~~

  4. Well I’ll hold out hope. Small mini’s can usually be protected when working with big rudos b/c everything looks so spectacular if the rudo can bump right. Baby Rabbit was pretty green but got carried great by Espectrito back in ’95. A Tzuki/Atomo team would be insane.

  5. Dr. Wagner Jr. is scheduled to face Samoa Joe on the Monterrey show – maybe Joe can not win heavyweight championships in three different countries this year.

Wagner vs Samoa Joe would be nothing but goodness. I would be like all the people who got all worked up over Misawa vs Joe in NOAH a few weeks back.

  6. Negro Casas and Hijo de Lizmark no showed to Wagner’s promoted show a couple of weeks back, who knows if the relationship is deteriorating even more or it was a simple no show. But I bet CMLL won’t be happy of seeing Wagner working that TNA show.

I guess he could join that Santo aniversary card anytime now…

Let’s kiss that Santo Jr show goodbye…

  8. Santo’s only chance of salvaging this is if they do Demon/Santo direct. Any other plan should be canceled before people figure out what a disaster it might be.
