Someone’s broken access to my match database without actually telling me anything about it. Can’t figure out how to fix it, it’s all very annoying. Luckily, I wrote this post before I got annoyed.

re: women’s cibernetico – this is what I’m thinking:
Probably not a tecnica, since Lady Apache is the champ after all. Even if you ignore that, Marcela’s doing fine as the second champion and Luna Magica getting an Arena Mexico singles match at this point is inconceviable. Dark Angel would be interesting, but not very realistic. If you’re a fan of Sarah, you’ve got to root for a ruda to win this match and the title next week so she can start getting title shots again.
This match is better for having Rosa Negra in it, rather than La Nazi or Medusa. I think getting in the match is the only measure of victory for Rosa. Which leaves four:
Hiroka
against: been there, done that. Why do a cibernetico if you’re just giving the last champion another chance?
for: if Lady Apache is just retaining, why not have her defeat someone she’s used to?
Amapola
against: she’s won her big Arena Mexico match for the year
for: she’s won a big Arena Mexico and it’d be nice to follow up
Mima Shimoda
against: seems to have been passed by natives, who knows how long she’s staying*
for: not staying could be a positive; los tto Lady Apache on her way out
* – I guess I could read her livedoor blog again and find out
Princesa Sujei
against: faded into the background
for: so has everyone else! would be a fine challenger for Apache
I’m less sure after writing this all out. What a failure on my part. Of the four likelys, I think I’m rooting for Amapola (because she is The Awesome) but I have this completely indefensible suspicion Mima’s winning. It feels like they’re setting up a title change here too.
re: the rest of the card
Could care less! There’s no followup to last week’s main event (UG is relegated to semimain) and my best guess is they’re pushing Shocker vs the Perrors again. We’re 5-6 weeks away from the Year End Show and there’s no obvious (or over) feud.
I doubt this is the right place to say it, but acording to a random el martinete poster, Eclipse got tired of beign apart from his family and quit CMLL. Guess that explains the Hijo de Lizmark joining Guerreros… poor Ultimo, he’s always the nanny to a bunch of flunked tecnicos (Atlantis, Olimpico, Tarzan Boy and now HdL).
I guess there won’t be any end of year show, they’ll simply go on like in last summer when no special show took place.
That would also explain that random Cancun date as Rey Tigre.
Ultimo has Sangre Azteca at least. Maybe he keeps recruiting guys out of Laguna in hopes he’ll be able to add someone better to the Guerreros. UG finding someone and getting CMLL seems to account for half the newcomers.
Misterioso needs a Guerrero-colored outfit stat!
I’m gonna go with Amapola winning the Ciber and Dark Angel as a longshot for a tecnica vs tecnica match. It’s not common but Feliciano is always doing uncommon things with the ladies since he desperately wants to make them stars who hang around even when his power fades.
Mima Shimoda vs Lady Apache would be a terrible punishment to all Lucha fans except the weird guy that posts on the Martinete forums that is obsessed with Mima.
The opener looks the best to me and I hope they give it all 5 Momentos spots next week. Fuck, I just hope we see pictures for a change!

Just a shame we’ll end up missing out on either the tercera or the segunda with it being a 6 match show. I guess we can only hope for a short womens match and squeezing 4 into the main show – not likely but we can but hope….
And Tuesdays card being reshuffled with Valiuente main eventing! when i saw Super tri and Chameleon, I thought at first it was maybe going to be a phantom opener with a singles match main event to be added – but they’re facing Los Romanos so maybe not.
Tri and Cameleon are legit. The latter is supposedly a crazy flyer while the first is just your average undercard flyer. Cool outfit though.
Geez, you can already see the ByL/Martinete guys turning on Ultimo Guerrero for being booked at Arena Mexico again. It’s a sure sign that smarkiness is taking over when you love a guy one week and the next week you think he works too much and never loses.
