11/03-11/05 Lucha Times

chart

FSE US: I’m guessing on the lineups from here, but it should be the match I was craving for this week – CMLL Flyers vs Infenales. Yay.

CAN52: Obligatory women’s match, tecnicos vs Guerreros. Lots of Marco Corelone, Blue Panther and Black Warrior this weekend.

AAAUS: Placekeeper between the major shows: Hell Brothers vs Legion, tecnicos vs Vipers, Sect vs MPs.

—-

AAAMEX: Post Pena show: newest Legion members team with Mesias against the Hell Brothers, tecnicos vs Vipers, MP

CMLLMEX: Listed as 3h30m long according to Cablevision Mexico. If that’s right, they can show the whole Friday show and some.

FSEMEX: Stuka is stuck in a painful match and Felino/Mascara/Sagrado vs Mephisto/Misterioso/Shiro

  1. Well, Henrik and I did predict that if there was any week where the Arena Mex opener would air it’d be this week.:/

Esmas has it listed for 2:45 only but that’s still plenty of time to get through the show.

  2. And the more that airs from Arena Mexico, the more we’ll see from Sunday Coliseo because Canal 52MX will need as much footage as possible from Sunday.

  3. Has 52mx ever aired a repeat? I’m not sure. I thought they’ve been good about not airing old stuff.
Plenty can be taped on Sunday’s at Coli to create episodes of GdL and FSE.

CMLL 3hrs? Watch some idiot at Televisa send CMLL to US-Galavision to fill Gala’s 3-hour Lucha block. It has to happen eventually.

  4. FSE and Televisa have aired the same matches at times. Not sure about Canal52.

Sunday shows definitely have enough that can be taped, the problem is they only tape the top 4 and usually only air 3 out of the 4. It’s a shame. You can tell they don’t film the openers b/c the cameras are busy doing the interviews during the opening matches.

  5. It will be interesting to see what happens is CMLL were to get a weekly 3-hour slot. In that case, I guess they’d be forced to tape interviews before the card begins. I’d really like to see the main event and segunda on FSE one week, then 52MX the next week. This would give FSE greater access to the top names. That’s what the show here in the US is missing. It’s lacking without Mistico.

  6. Question, and with the notable exception of Jushin Liger and Ultimo Dragon or any other masked japanese wrestler,

Why are Japanese wrestlers rudos in Mexico?

  7. When they have had 3 hour show, they run the full ArMex show + an additional match.

We’ll see if this doesn’t end as another 1:45 show with “Los Secretos de la Magia” used to fill up time for Gala.

  8. Normally if the show went 2:45hrs, i’d be expecting Coliseo segunda + Arena Mex top 4. But as we all know, the arena mex opener tomorrow is horrific and is full of segunda level guys we’re sick of seeing (tecnicos), whilst said Coliseo match features Neutron and Molotov. So no prizes for guessing what’s more likely.

Would be a really disappointing week to get 2:45 hrs – a bit like that random episode a while back where the opener aired, only for it to be Safari/Chamaco Valaguez V Dr X/Nitro!

  9. They also once aired a Leono/Tigre Metalico vs Apocalipsis/Hooligan opener which while it wasn’t awful was also pretty weak considering the previous week had Los Tigres vs the same rudos and the following week had a mini’s tag. The only other time was when they aired a mini’s tag opener which was great but they only did that b/c they never showed the main event. I’m convinced Feliciano knows the week his show will get more time and makes sure to put on weak opening matches as to not “upstage” the main guys.
