Projected Air Date
Mexico: 11/25
US: 12/15

The main event should be a title match, though it wasn’t listed as such where KrisZ saw it listed.

Looks like the Familia is being flipped to the tecnico side already, assuming they make this show. Nicho would have to travel from Indiana (well, more likely O’Haire) to Irapuato in one day, which sounds tricky.

I thought this was Porky’s first TV appearance since TripleMania, but he did appear in the Pena Memorial gauntlet match. He seems to be among the guys who’ve been phased out this year.

They really shouldn’t be advertising Abismo at this point. Even if you’re absolutely sure he’s going to be there, put a question mark there and let people be surprised if he shows up 9and if he doesn’t, Histeria fills in and everyone’s fine with that.)

This will be the third straight TV taping with Guapos vs Grecos.

(tentative) Upcoming Tapings
11/15 Xalapa
11/19 Domo de la Feria, Leon
11/30 Centro de Convenciones de Ciudad Madero
maybe one more taping in December?

  1. I wonder what venue Xalapa is taped at. I miss AAA in Arena Xalapa.

AAA should really have two editions of NotiAAA during each broadcast. They use too many replays to fill time, and another NotiAAA used to promote house shows/tapings, and angles would be better for everyone. I remember when WWF did two editions of “Events Center” on their weekly one-hour show, and it was effective in promoting the product. So AAA could easily fit in another NotiAAA each week.

WWE expands to two hours for both RAW and Smackdown on Canal 52MX, and will try to run PPV’s on 52 on a delay of just a few hours.

  2. AAA will surely run the usual Guerrero state taping in December, I’m thinking they could run Toluca or somewhere in Hidalgo as well, unless they plan to have the Triple SEM show on TV.

  3. Oh, AAA should drop NotiAAA altogether, it serves no purpose at all. They just screw their future shows by giving away what happened in the yet to air tapings.

  4. I think AAA should add a fan of the week segment, a lineups of the week segment, five different segments where the fat announcers talk about nothing and touch each other awkwardly and finally – a preview of who is wrestling next week, half of which don’t even make TV anyhow.

  5. NotiAAA is a valuable segment. It tells you where AAA is going to be. It explains angles, like the Ciber/neighbor thing, etc…. Maybe NotiAAA is not always what we like, but I can’t imagine AAA not have such a segment for announcing TV tapings and showing vignettes.

I just got home from Smackdown at Nassau Coliseum. Rey Jr., must sell $25,000 in merch a night. I can’t believe the ticket prices WWE gets. But merch is priced the same as last year.

RFC posted a AAA lineup for sunday, for a venue that I assume is in MTY. Pimpi and Polvo in the main event, and AAA wonders why they have trouble selling tickets for non-tv events in that town.

  6. They run the ads for tv taping in the commercials lead in spots, and the intro videos would explain the Vecina and the like deals, so why bother with NotiAAA any more. Unless the US Gala is editing the intro and outro segments.

I was in Monterrey last couple of weeks, AAA has trouble running there since they charge 250 for the front rows while the CMLL venues charge 5 and 8 pesos.

Of course, Konnan Big shows charge 400 or 500, depending on the celebrities…

  7. I guess I just grew up on that mentality that you need an NotiAAA type segment during a wrestling program, like I had watching WWE’s “Event Center” on tv.

As far as MTY/AAA, there is not a city in Mexico that can sustain weekly AAA events, so I don’t know why they try it only in MTY. Multimedios should just cut a deal with AAA to run a big monthly event at Coliseo MTY, and let the other idiots continue to run Martes Nice, and Sunday shows. I would not try to run weekly AAA anywhere in Mexico.

There is definitely some editing done to the Galavision AAA show. One of the reasons Televisa does not send Univision both promotions is because they don’t want to be bothered editing two Lucha shows a week. And no one at Univision feels strongly enough about getting CMLL back on the air.

  8. AAA could easily run Monterrey if they were charging 5 pesos. But why bother if they charge 500 pesos in other cities?
