CMLL (FRI) 10/19 Arena Mexico [SuperLuchas, ovaciones, ESTO]
1) Sombra de Plata & Starman b Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Euforia, Nosferatu, Satánico b Felino, Leono, Stuka Jr.
3) Averno, Mephisto, Samurai Shiro b Sagrado, Valiente, Volador Jr.

Los Perros won the semimain when Terrible yanked Dos’ mask. They appeared to go to the back after their match, but snuck threw the crowd to punk out Mistico and Negro before their match. Atlantis and Ultimo easily won the first fall, tecnicos rallied back to get the second, and the Guerreros took the third with Atlantidas. After the match, both sides agreed to a tag title match.

Damian 666 got a round of applause before his match to celebrate his 25th anniversary of wrestling. No tournament, though.

Valiente went for a dive in the third fall, but Shiro cut him off, dropping him back in the ring and putting him in a guillotine for the win. CMLL’s going with Texano and Terrible being the two new Perros that Aguayo promised, even though Terrible has appeared to be part of the group for well over a year.

Show was said to be better than past weeks, but the attendance wasn’t.

Mistico/Averno is a fine way to celebrate 100 episodes.

Dr. Wagner Jr. told Ovaciones he’s not going to be part of the Santo tournament, though he’d be fine facing him one on one.

  1. That GdR episode looks fun! Curious to see that segunda.

    Not announcing the tag title match right away is really odd. Did they suddenly discover someone has an alternate booking they can’t get out of? I’m kinda hoping they don’t add that match b/c that tercera looks OUT OF THIS WORLD and I would be very sad to see it bumped to the death spot.:( Maybe they can hold it off till November 9th and have a huge show with the tag belts and Mascarita Dorada debuting.

    It also appears like the National Trios Champs are never going to team together again…

    I’m not sure why CMLL keeps advertising an injured Flash in all their lineups.:/

    No Chui means we need someone else to tell us what airs on CMLL TV today!

  2. BTW, the Arena Mex tercera actually finished with Valiente blowing his usual dive (although it sounds like Koshinaka may have assisted him in the botch somehow) and falling to the floor in an unplanned spot. The rudos then quickly pinned Volador to win.

    Yeah, that must make TV. Would be one of my current CMLL dream matches if Misterioso replaced Efesto.

    Hey Rob, see this Stuka V Sangre Azteca which should air on the new GDL programme this weekend – was it a best of 3 or lightning match?

    Glad that the Super Nova/Stuka segunda from last week aired. Anyone know if Neutron was on FSE?

  4. It should have been a one fall match like all the Tuesday single matches but they go long so it’s all good. Let’s hope it airs though.:/ I don’t trust KWHY…

    No Chui = no TV reports.:(

  6. According to a post on the El Marinete board, the top 3 from Arena Mexico aired.

    Could be in for another strong GdR show next week with that segunda and Mistico/Averno.

  7. Any KWHY report from 10/20 would be great.

    Even though FSE gets scraps of GdR/MX 52 and CMLL Gala/Mex, the show is not that bad. We’d never see alot of these guys on tv(Sangre Azteca got some mic time tonight) if not for all the time CMLL has to fill. And they all seem very organized as far as what goes on 52MX and what goes on FSE each week. Only change I’d make to FSE show is have a short “Events Center” or “NOTIAAA” type segment to keep the US fans informed of the big storylines we can’t see on Galavision. Like do an interview with Lizmark Jr., and Blue Panther talking about the Anniversary show, and show clips too.
