10/09: Coliseo, Puebla, Wagner

CMLL

CMLL (SUN) 10/07 Arena Coliseo [cmll.com]
1) Bracito de Oro & Pequeno Olimpico DQ Mr. Aguilita & Sombrita
2) Fabian el Gitano, Leono, Tony Rivera b Dr. X, Hooligan, Super Comando
3) La Mascara, Sombra, Volador b Euforia, Nosferatu, Satanico
4) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Marco Corelone b Black Warrior, Sangre Azteca, Toscano
5) Atlantis, Olimpico, Ultimo Guerrero b Hector Garza, Villano III, Villano V

Guerreros won the main event clean. The recap teases Satanico/La Mascara directly, rather than a trios feud, which sounds actually possibly. They’re still not facing next week, so it’s probably not going anywhere. In the opener, Aguilita fouled Bracito de Oro.

CMLL (MON) 10/08 Arena Puebla [hugo999]
1) Toro Bill & Toro Bill Jr. b Legionario & SWAT
2) Blade, Negro Navarro, Siki Osama Jr. b Batman, Centella de Oro, Tigre Rojo
3) La Mascara, Mascara Purpura, Stuka Jr. b Euforia, Nosferatu, Satanico
4) Blue Panther, Sagrado, Volador Jr. b Sangre Azteca, Toscano, Universo 2000
5) Atlantis, Black Warrior, Ultimo Guerrero b Marco Corelone, Rey Bucanero, Shocker

Panther replaced Dos Jr. Toro Bill Jr. yanked Legionario’s mask and pinned him in the opener.

Arturo Rivera’s column mentions he has no idea why Latin Lover didn’t show up to the Pena show. No one’s come forward with a reason so far, he just didn’t show. triplea.com’s recap doesn’t mention Latin Lover at all, so he’s probably dead to them again.

Arturo also says Dr. Wagner’s upset about concession sales being shorted at a show his brother was promoted.

Laredo Kid’s injury is a fractured tibia – reports vary if he’ll be out three months (January) or six (April).

CMLL WAGNER (SAT) 10/27 Poliforum de la Feria Torreon [el siglo de Torreon]
1) Maquina 27 & Rey Tempestad vs Jerry Brown & Semental
2) Brillante I & Espacial vs Dimante Negro & Moro Jr.
3) Hijo del Soberano, Sexy Piscis, Super Nova vs Espanto V, Sexy Francis, Virus
4) Mascara Purpura & Silver King vs Hooligan & Mr. Mexico
5) Hijo de Lizmark & Terrible vs Dr. Wagner Jr. & Negro Casas

As Chui called, this is why the AOL anniversary show is pushed back a week. Wagner’s still using CMLL talent for his shows, and the article mentions plans to work both nationally and internationally.

(Strong Style Spirit) NJPW wrestler Wataru Inoue is headed to Mexico. He wrestled briefly in Mexico in 2002, including the epic Giant Silva vs Giant Singh trios.

  1. Wataru has been in Mexico for at least a month and a half working for some really scummy indies. I mean shows in parking lots level scummy.

  2. I agree Wataru deserves better than that.

Latin Lover pulling a Shocker? Is he still pissed that Intocable and El Elegido is ripping his gimmick left and right?

Laredo injured? Not good for R.F.A or AAA.

  3. Why does Mexico have to keep being the dumping ground for Japan’s garbage? Send Blazer, send Milano, send Ishimori, let Mexico have Marvin back, send Nakajima for an extended period… but please, keep Inoue, Takemura, Goto and every other plain Japanese wrestler who has no motivation to get better and only treats Mexico as a place to perfect their comedy act.

  4. Rob I feel you man, but I say that if the guys can make me laugh I’m all for them. But he comedy has to be funny. If it’s just stupid then I’m with you.

I hope Latin Lover has a good reason for not showing up. It would suck if AAA didn’t take him back. He’s the best thing in the company.

    5) Hijo de Lizmark & Terrible vs Dr. Wagner Jr. & Negro Casas

Wagner would be better with indys only here, he was wise in removing Mistico but no one cares for the 3 CMLL guys over here… where’s Ultimo Guerrero or Blue Panther when you need them?
