I’ll update this with more recaps as I get to ’em, but I figure I should go over the eight million plot points while I can still keep them straight. I’m sure we’ll have no more angles for 3 months because they used them all up here.

Electro Shock was the surprise replacement for Mesias. Intocable replaced Latin Lover, which is always funny. Zorro tried to escape first, but Cibernetico fought him on top of the cage and brought him back in. Cibernetico climbs down, but was jumped by Mesias and the Sect. Charly Manson tried to make the save, failed. Abismo and Intocable climbed out of the cage, leaving Chessman and Zorro. Chessman decided the thing to do was to set a table on fire and put Zorro thru it. Naturally, Chessman took it instead and Zorro left to get his team the win.

The Pena tournament turned into a gauntlet match – two guys in a ring at a time till they run out of guys. X-Pac beat Porky thanks to Alicia, X-Pac lost to Mascara Divina thanks to Alicia. So it goes. Kenzo beat Divina and Parka, but Laredo got the upset win – and then promptly hurt himself on a dive versus Ron Killings, so he had to be strechered out. Alan beat Killings and new rival Scorpio Jr., but got busted open there. Charly and Alan had a long battle before Charly won. Scott Hall was a surprise entry! (Not really, NotiAAA gave it away on Friday) Scott Hall promptly lost, so I guess it didn’t make sense to advertise. They did the deal where it seemed like the match was over, but suddenly one more competitor appears – Konnan. The Legion beat up Charly for Konnan, but Parka ran them off and Charly got one more pinfall.

To the surprise of no one, Nicho was the third Familia de Tijuana member. If you read that NotiAAA update, they try to convince Damian to jump to AAA rather than being a midcarder in CMLL – pretty weird for a company to do that. Also, you’ll note what position on the card this is. Usual match with this crew. Halloween put Crazy Boy thru a flaming table (that’s TWO – they couldn’t even save the flaming table for the main event) and Nicho did a ladder dive on Juvi for the win.

The Lights Out match was said to be hard to see. Elegido took the pin

Gran Apache appeared before the mixed match, demanding to know if Fabi knew Alfa was Billy all along. He tried to hit the ring to break them up, but fell down. Billy and Fabi tried to help him, but he shoved them away. On a happier note, Cassandro (who beat Super Fly for the win) and Pimpi put aside their differences after the match and danced together. No clue which/who Mascarita Sagrada was here.

There was nothing to talk about in the minis match! Octagoncito beat Mini Chessman.

Announced Upcoming Tapings
10/18: Aguascalientes
10/20: Orizaba

  1. There’s also a taping for the 26, Veracruz I think is the place.

I’m glad to find that Zorro was thrown back in, it sounded too much like the usual cage crappiness in Superluchs.

The NOTIAAA blogger seems to be working in AAA but is not AAA, so his statements are not oficial, that is, AAA is not telling Damian to jump (well, not thru the page). He gave away Scott Hall, though, maybe say that Ovaciones put Nicho in the lineups and said “what the heck”.

Wagner has oficialy quit to CMLL now.

  2. I have a feeling AAA is going to cough up some makor bucks to get Wagner to join.

I can’t get why EMLL is being a buch of dee dee dee’s for letting, who I feel, their real top attraction go. The fans are sick of Mistico, or am I wrong?

  3. At least for Arena Mexico, you are right. I guess CMLL is pretty sure Shocker will lead them again… but, 1) he sucks. 2) he doesn’t draw 3) he’ll go missing once again soon

  4. I’ll take a risky chance with Shocker over greedy Wagner any day of the week. For as much as Shocker is a liability, there’s a reason Drago was interviewed on Canal52 the other weekend…

  5. Oh yeah, SuperLuchas also reports that the NIGHT QUEENS returned to attack Pimpi/Cassandro while they were dancing. I’m hoping this is to give national attention to a feud that will only take place in Monterrey at some point b/c that would be a waste of TV time to do an Exoticos vs Closet Exoticos feud.

Taking chances is what leads to 0-12…

Should be rephrased to “Hypergreedy Shocker”.

Where in Mty would that take place?

  7. Arena Monterrey.

More Wagner leads to more pointless hair matches once Wagner builds feuds and balks at the last second b/c nobody will agree to his increased price. Can’t wait for Maximo vs Satanico to end the year!

  8. AAA has not run Arena Monterrey and they surely won’t run Night Queens there.

Wagner has never agreed to lose the mask, it is Canek, Rayo, Atlantis and LA Park the ones balking. Even with that, Wagner draws, while no one cares for Shocker, CMLL will try to push him, once they see their attendance drops even more, will cancell any program with him, and he will go missing in action for a few months more. Sure, they would do good business with a Perrillo vs Jair hair match, but neither would agree to lose, so it won’t happen (thankfully since it would be awful)

  9. Isn’t GNL running TV Azteca? Arena Coliseo Monterrey is back to Guajardo Jr and Hijo del Solitario… oh well…

  10. Toreo wasn’t full, but I don’t know how bad or if it was bad at all. The show, in paper, looks like show of the year, but they never did nothing to build to it, heck, Verano de Escandalo was poorly built as well, but they hadn’t work in GDL in a while.

    They should rework their schedsule:

Rey de Reys – First Sunday in March.
TripleAmania – April 30th or the closest day.
Verano de Escandalo – Mid- August
    Peña Memorial – Oct 7
    Guerra de Titanes – December.

And they should also consider different places, although they’ve run huge shows this year, Orizaba, Merida, Madero not even being “big event” at all.

  11. I figure that the place not selling out El Toreo made them cut expenses, 7000 dollars is quite a bit to cut.

  12. You don’t come back in two months from a fractured tibia . That is a long term injury and reading that gives me a bad feeling that he could going into Mistico territory as far as working injured.
