10/06: Mexico, lineups, CAN52

ESTO

CMLL (FRI) 10/05 Arena Mexico [ova, Galeno del Mal @ box y lucha, superluchas, Alvin @ el Martinete, ESTO]
1) Bracito de Oro & Tzuki b Fire & Pierrothito
2) India Sioux, Lady Apache, Marcela b Hiroka, Mima Shimoda, Rosa Negra
3) Rey Bucanero, Valiente, Volador Jr. b Misterioso Jr., Sangre Azteca, Texano Jr.
4) Dos Caras Jr., Shocker, Sombra b Averno, Black Warrior, Mephisto
5) Blue Panther, Mistico, Negro Casas b Atlantis, Toscano, Ultimo Guerrero

Toscano replaced Lizmark Jr., who still ran in the first fall to tear up Blue Panther’s mask. Rudos won the second fall with everyone doing Atlantidas, tecnicos won the third. Lizmark Jr. was announced as a member of the Guerreros here.

No explanation about why Wagner missed the show yet, and everyone’s bringing up the mystery spots on the Pena anniversary show. Dos took his spot.

Texano Jr. is officially a Perros del Mal. He might have been last week, but CMLL.com notes it this week.

Mascarita Sagrada 2000 appeared before the semimain, announcing his change to Mascarita Dorada. That mask appears to be about the same mask Sagrada teased switching to in AAA. Dorada says he doesn’t own the Sagrada name and wants to get out of the shadow of the original. He cites Pena’s death and the horrible dive onto his head in Toluca as reasons to jump. The picture caption mentions (and shows) Dorada with the Mexican Minis Title, but it’s not brought up in the article. Dorada will debut on 11/09 – he’s got conflicting dates with the NWA and Lucha Va Voom (I think) to take care of first.

CMLL (TUE) 10/09 Arena Coliseo
1) Astro Boy & Trueno vs Polvora & Vaquero
2) Bam Bam & Pequeno Olimpico vs Pequeno Violencia & Pierrothito
3) Felino, Mascara Purpura, Maximo vs Misterioso Jr., Texano Jr., Virus
4) La Mascara, Sombra, Volador Jr. vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
5) Heavy Metal, Rey Bucanero, Sagrado vs Damian 666, Mr. Aguila, Terrible

The minis match is a revenge match – so Mini Olimpico is in TWO feuds at once (this and Gitano in Neza.)

CMLL (FRI) 10/12 Arena Mexico
1) Metalico & Trueno vs Arkangel & Hooligan
2) Leono, Stuka Jr., Super Nova vs Loco Max, Ohara, Okumura

If Rey Bucnanero doesn’t jump tomorrow, he’ll never will… OK, maybe by December we’ll be hearing rumors again, but why would AAA care by then if he will be working Segundas with Skandalo?

  2. It looks as if they’ll have top 3 from ArMex. They started by showing Lizmark Jr, unmasked, I guess that means that no anniverasry show on free TV.

  3. Rey and Sangre blew Bucky’s finisher, Sangre just stood up, ran to the ropes and went for it again… oh well, it’s gonna be one of those shows…

  4. Top 3! YAY! I have high hopes for all three matches for some reason. Even if just for seeing Valiente’s new dive again. Did they do Momentos from the PPV?

  5. Toscano blew catching Mistico so badly I’m amazed they’re keeping him at all… CMLL is SOOOOOOOO scared of AAA they try to give everyone a spot.

  6. Ooohhhh… full match, on second thought I’ll take that download after all!

Mistico in black was AWESOME. How did he change to a white outfit between falls?

  7. I’ll download and save b/c hopefully they picked the triple dives for Momentos but I won’t watch (don’t spoil!) till I see the PPV in full. Match #1 was already posted online.

  8. I think Mistico just had black mask and pants over his regular clothes, estelar was too short and they didn’t really focused on him, I don’t think they showed it but I guess rudos ripped of the black outfit… or maybe he went to a church and removed it with the sound of the bells…

  9. Mascarita Dorada, That name seems very very familiar? Lucha Wiki says it’s some guy from 1937 but I thought there was someone named that in AAA?

  10. There might have been someone who worked under that name on the Martha Villalobos shows.

HOLY SHIT. Sombra not only did that awesome spot pictured, he also did a crazy fucking dive assisted by Shocker! TEAMWORK RULES! I’m on the Sombra bandwagon!

  11. I won’t be on any of Sombra’s bandwagon till he turns rudo… Espanto Jr is surely hiding ashamed of having a tecnico relative… oh well, Gemas were tecnicos also, maybe he’s used to it.

They still are dumb enough to have him in the skits, he’s 17 and he’s not a natural for acting.

  12. The opener was way too short. I thought Volador/Valiente looked great though. And Monito now doing spots with Texano will RULE. The camera did botch the big dive but at least they showed a quick replay and I’m sure more after the match was over. Morales went nuts.:)

  13. Sombra was using the masks which covers his eyes again, he only used once before, the time he nearly broke his jaw, that kind of masks look cool, or at least I think so since I’m a big Spidey fan.

After the opener match, they showed more replays, but all were the same, that is, from where he’s in the third rope, they completely missed it.

Estelar was also pretty short, weird show.

  14. The mask was indeed awesome. If Averno/Mephisto were still champs, I’d love to see a Sombra/Shocker vs Averno/Mistico match. Hell, just book that in Guadalajara! For a 17 year old kid, he carries himself like he’s much older.

  15. I think this AAA show will be a recap show with the 2 missing matches from last week and a lot of Peña Memorial prommotion.

  16. Are you kidding? The show was built around it. Well, I guess it was, since they should had aired the Dome here as the “Main Event” but they acutally had that match instead.

Abismo Negro cut a promo and made it sound as if today’s Dome is having masks/hair on the line!
