10/01: Panther, highlight shows

In today’s Ovaciones, Blue Panther says he’d like to win Atlantis’ mask next. Good luck on that. The IWRG Oficiales are interviewed was well – their feud with the AJPW guys has been dropped for one versus the clowns.

In Arturo Rivera’s weekend column, he mentions how Extreme Tiger would work much better as a rudo teaming with Halloween rather than as Mexican Power tecnico. I think he’s been reading ahead. The preview is written under the impression Mesias is working tonight’s taping, if it means anything.

Box Y Lucha’s got next Sunday’s lineup:

CMLL (SUN) 10/07 Arena Coliseo
1) Bracito de Oro & Pequeno Olimpico vs Mr. Aguilita & Sombrita
2) Fabian el Gitano, Leono, Tony Rivera vs Dr. X, Hooligan, Super Comando
3) La Mascara, Sombra, Volador vs Euforia, Nosferatu, Satanico
4) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Marco Corelone vs Black Warrior, Sangre Azteca, Toscano
5) Atlantis, Olimpico, Ultimo Guerrero vs Hector Garza, Villano III, Villano V

Tercera could be pretty fun. ByL does not have the IWRG lineups, so I don’t know if they’ll turn up this week.

Accion was only 40 minutes this week, but they did leave in the lucha segment – which went no longer than a minute. We got about 30 seconds of each cage match. Funny how that worked out, both having cage matches the same day (and one was free.) Seemed there was more time spent on the AAA one, but we got to see Lizmark Jr. unmasked and didn’t really see Espiritu get shaved. Looks like the Hell Brothers tied a rope to the top of the cage to climb out, but it backfired with Cibernetico getting choked by the rudos. Also, we had another table that didn’t break right.

DeporTV had highlights of from last Tuesday.
1) Astro Boy does a moonsault to the floor, sense beats Zyaco with an inverted Gory Strech
2) Fantasy send out Fire and follows with a Asai Moonsault, Electirco does a slingshot headscissors into the ring and a no hands tope con giro out. Bam Bam hits his tornillo too. PIerorth goes for a dive, gets tripped into the ropes, and Fantasy hits a guillotine top rope moonsault, which is new. Bam Bam powerbombs Fire for the other pin.
3) Tony Rivera highlight bit, with Fabian having eh timing. Triple tope by the tencicos. Fabian sends Arkangel out, and then Valiente does – well, pictures are better.

Fabian uses a reverse tope for a finish.
4) is SKIPPED. That is okay.
5) Lots of posing, imagine that. Wagner bounces V5 around with armdrags, poses, and gets blant low blow kicked.

  1. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY

    SHIT!

Valiente has been reading the DVDVR board!

    How amazing is this guy?

  2. THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Yes I will be reposting every 10 minutes or so.

  3. Oh man, I saw the youtube clip of his usual double springboard dive on the PPV but if the busted THAT dive out too… no wonder everyone is raving about his PPV performance.

    AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWESOME!

  4. Arturo Rivera’s column was actually pretty interesting, he says that Luchas VIP are coming back, with two concepts, “Ladies’ Night” and the same Navarro Brothers thing. Apparently, the Navarro were scammed (by Brazo de Oro if you believe Rivera). I had read that they were in trouble and lost lots of money, and I’m surprised they are still interested in the business… this time it looks they’ll work with AAA. I wonder if TVC will air those as well?

  5. Oh, and Mesias was supposed to return but he didn’t, results are somewhere in elmartinete board.

  6. As for the mini’s…

That double springboard moonsault by Fantasy was really awesome.

Bam Bam needs a new finisher. A small tecnico should not be using a sit-down power bomb as a finisher, right?

If any of these guys put on 2 inch lifts, they could be regular sized guys and fit right in.

    VALIENTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. FUUUUUUUUCK!!

Holy shit that guy’s amazing! :D

And what a psycho to bust all that shit out on coliseo Tuesday cards, spot shows etc. It’s the same with his usual moonsault and that equally as nuts assisted somersault plancha.

Actually, i’d have preferred if he kept his trademark moonsault for big occasions rather than busting it every week, but i’m not going to complain about it because even though you’d like to see it protected, it’s still breathtaking to see :)

From deporTv clips and official pics, the minis division looks hot as hell right now. Hopefully with Mascarita joining, there will be a bit more focus on them from now on and some TV TIME!(at the expense of the women, not the undercarder’s of course) :)

btw – Sensei’s looking like he’s been taking advice on training from Olimpico :)

  8. The mini’s pictures from yesterday look awesome. It’s a shame it would take a miracle for that to air instead of a crappy looking women’s segunda.:(
