09/14: Mexico, Neza, lineups

ESTO

CMLL (FRI) 09/14 Arena Mexico [ovaciones, ESTO]
1) Polvora & Vaquero b Angel Azteca Jr. & Tiger Kid
2) Euforia, Loco Max, Nosferatu b Leono, Stuka Jr., Super Nova
3) Mascara Purpura, Sagrado, Sombra DQ Damian 666, Mr. Aguila, Texano Jr.
4) Averno, Black Warrior, Hijo de Lizmark b Heavy Metal, La Mascara, Volador Jr.
5) Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Terrible, Villano V b Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Negro Casas

In the third fall of the main event, Blue Panther got Terrible with an armbar, but Perro and Villano rallied to beat Dos and Negro for the win.

Ovaciones says Black Warrior has new look with no skirt. Maybe he just forgot it, because that’s all that looks different. No recap mentions that he’s added to the Anniversary main event, but next week’s lineup seems like we’re still headed that way.

Texano fouled Purpura in the tercera. CMLL.com notes that Texano is pretty much a Perro at this point, only needing Perro Jr. to make it official. That’d be 1 of the 2 new members promised.

CMLL (THU) 09/13 Arena Neza [Heri 99 @ box y lucha]
1) Romano & Super Tri b Dr. Karonte Jr. & Monkey
2) Molotov & Tiger Kid b Vaquero & Zayco
3) Bam Bam, Electrico, Pequeno Olimpico b Pequeno Damian 666, Pequeno Halloween, Pequeno Mr. Aguila
4) Leono, Meteorix, Valiente b Colmillo Blanco, Ephesto, Ramstein

CMLL (TUE) 09/18 Arena Coliseo
1) Rayo Tapatio I & Rayo Tapatio II vs Artillero & Zayco
2) Metalico, Sombra de Plata, Tiger Kid vs Apocalipsis, Ramstein, Super Comando
3) Euforia, Mr. Mexico, Nosferatu vs Leono, Starman, Valiente
4) Maximo, Ogun, Sagrado vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
5) Alex Koslov, Dos Caras Jr., Marco Corelone vs Damian 666, Mr. Aguila, Terrible

CMLL (FRI) 09/21 Arena Mexico
1) Angel Azteca Jr. & Neutron vs Hooligan & Loco Max
2) Dark Angel, Luna Magica, Marcela vs Hiroka, Medusa, Rosa Negra
3) Heavy Metal, Maximo, Shocker vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
4) Sagrado, Sombra, Volador Jr. vs Damian 666, Mr. Aguila, Texano Jr.
5) Blue Panther & Mistico vs Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Villano V and Atlantis & Ultimo Guerrero and Black Warrior & Lizmark Jr.

I can’t think of the last time we’ve had a main event four team mini-tournament, but here it is. Warrior’s basically taking Wagner’s place (though a tecnico wouldn’t work exactly there.) Nice to see Shocker exists once more. Gotta figure the Perros are getting the win in the semimain to set up that title match in two weeks or so.

If this was the title match week for that feud, and you swapped in the cage match for the 4 way tag, it may be a more interesting show than the Anniversary.

CMLL CAN52 Guerreros del Ring #95 has
09/07 Mexico: Euforia, Nosferatu, Virus b Mictlan, Super Nova, Valiente
09/09 Coliseo: Blue Panther, Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Bucanero DQ Atlantis, Olimpico, Ultimo Guerrero
more interviews about Dr. Wagner Sr. – Lizmark and whomever else is left.

  1. Agree with you cubs, its nice to see Shocker again in La Seria y Estable (the Serious and Stable), CMLL.

  2. It’s nice to see Shocker is not in jail or something, but I’m not really looking forward to seeing him in the ring… I doubt he’ll show up anyways…

  3. Serious and stable? More like clueless and poorly-booked.

That GdR episode looks good although why the segunda instead of the tercera building up a future big match? Maybe they’re saving that for the PPV week…

  4. Tercera was on FSE (I think), if it was Hooligan’s match, which aired, I’m right. They also aired the match with Emilio Charles and Mascara Purpura.

  5. Next week GdR and FSE should both have Sunday matches.

    So this was FSE?

    3) Hooligan, Okumura, Skandalo b Fabian el Gitano, Leono, Ogun
    4) Averno, Emilio Charles Jr., Mephisto DQ Felino, Mascara Purpura, Maximo

  6. Next week GdR and FSE should both have Sunday matches.

    oh sorry, forgot about
coliseo, i mean the arena mex show tomorrow rob.

  7. Nope, segunda from Coliseo was:

    2) Apocalipsis, Loco Max, Ramstein b Astro Boy, Molotov, Tiger Kid

    Leono subbed for someone?

Top 4 is pretty fucking impressive and clears the way for next week’s weekend shows to air top 4 from Sun Arena Mex.

  8. No, I confused it with ArMex which in fact had Le-oh-no! vs Loco Max, they effectively aired:

    2) Apocalipsis, Loco Max, Ramstein b Astro Boy, Molotov, Tiger Kid

    + top 4.

Since Skandalo is booked ahead of Apocalipsis, he should be someone with better leverage… I assume.

  9. Was fine, I guess, very little heat because of the poor drawing… and now they used the crowd shots for covering up blown spots more noticeably than usual, Dos Caras must really blew it big times since we got an extended Jimenita shot and then Dos spent time visibly knocked out…

  10. Nice, that should be a pretty great show! :)

Was the Coliseo segunda any good? From what i’ve saw, I’m kinda unconvinced by pretty much everyone in that match, particularly the tecnicos – but you never know, they may have upped things if they knew they were going to be on TV

And was there anything decent in Momentos? For example, Trueno’s asai moonsault or Voladors moonsault plancha which i haven’t saw him hit off the top turnbuckle in about 5 years?!

  11. I missed momentos, but what move are you talking about? Super Quebrada? He used to do it last year, I think he dropped that after the second time he ended on the hospital (a year ago, almost exactly)

  12. And about Segunda, I’m not in Kid Tiger’s camp, he seems to try to do Felino’s spots but manages to hit them at a way lower speed. Other 2 guys were OK, I think Molotov used an over the top rope tope suicida which had him actually going down on his head but did contact with the rudo to save his life… looked pretty dramatic. I’ll give them credit for having to work with Loco and Apoky…

  13. I missed momentos, but what move are you talking about? Super Quebrada? He used to do it last year

Yeah, although normally whenever he hits it, its the 180 springboard, starting from the inside, turning into a top rope asai moonsault. From the pics it looked like he just hit a plain old moonsault to the outside off the top turnbuckle itself.

Not particularly amazing or anything as almost every flyer busts them out nowadays, but generally, i think unusual/rare = pretty cool :)

The dive he injured himself on was the springboard tornillo which i think he gave up on after the accident – Was an awesome dive too. Hopefully he hasn’t abandoned it completely and is saving it up for big, important matches in the future. :)

  14. I actually wanted to see that match for that final spot, Henrik. Both Volador and Sombra were on the top rope with Volador aiming for the floor and Sombra the ring. Sombra did his split-legged moonsault as Volador did his moonsault dive. Pretty neat finish.:)

I’m not sold on Kid Tiger either. He stands out in IWRG b/c so many guys he works with are way greener but he definitely need to bulk up a bit and get more co-ordinated with his moves. I don’t think he’s in line for any sort of big push any time soon so he’ll have lots of time to develop.

I heard Astro Boy was good in that match so looking forward to seeing what he can do. I think you’ll start to like his work Henrik.

  15. They also hinted that they won’t be airing the anniversary show on free tv, so a big THANK YOU goes for the bookers for putting up an awful looking show. (Now I only have to wait to see the workers go out and sleepwalk as usual – although I think they’re trying to step up their game a bit these two or three weeks)

  16. I hope more Skayde, Turbo, Neo and Black Thunder airs tomorrow on that Canal 34 show. No sleepwalking there.:D

Is IWRG so bad that you refuse to comment on it Chui or you just don’t watch?

  17. I have the new TVC deportes but I always forgot what time it airs, I usually only get to see the second hour, Copa Azul was fine, or almost fine, I think El Enfermero Jr (whoever he was) vs Blue Demon Jr and the Demon vs Navarro were OK, but they also had some dumb 4 minute matches with Damian vs Bestia Salvaje (AAA should NOT pick him up) and the fake Dinamitas, which of course, suck…

I liked Koslov there and in the following week as well, he kind of held the match together and the match went donwhill when he left (imo).

I’m pretty sure that once I return from Mty I’ll be getting those captured as well and will have time to watch them.

Tomorr… later today, it’ll be airing just before AAA, so I should be able to watch it, but Cowboys will be playing at that time, so maybe I won’t remember again.
