3) ?, Lobo, Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. b Gallo, Leon Blanco, Magnum
4) Rayman b Sangre Azteca
5) Alex Koslov, Dr. Wagner Jr., Negro Casas b Mephisto, Toxico (Guadalajara), Ultimo Guerrero

Toxico replaced Toscano. Not sure who filled in for him in his match. Sangre’s losing a lot of singles matches here for someone who’s a single champion. Maybe there’s a title match coming up?

AAA (SUN) 09/02 Arena Coliseo Monterrey [RFC
1) Dr. Cianuro & Scravos b Iron Xtreme & Rey Imagen
2) Aguila Extrema & Virtual X b Euforia (Monterrey) & Mercurio

CMLL (WED) 09/05 Centro de Convenciones Madero [El Sol de Tampico]
1) Dark Angel, Lady Apache, Luna Magica vs Hiroka, Mima Shimoda, Princesa Sujei
2) Astro Boy, Super Nova, Valiente vs Artillero, Dr. X, Súper Comando

5) Alex Koslov, Marco Corelone, Vampiro vs Damián 666, Lizmark Jr., Mr. Águila
6) Averno, LA Park, Último Guerrero vs Dr. Wagner Jr., el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, LA Park

This is a rescheduled show due to the hurricane, if I recall right. The article says Mistico will be on the Ultimo Guerrero team, but doesn’t specify a fourth guy on the other team, so I think he’ll just be seconding them (and maybe doing spots.) Some of the 4th and 5th match participants have changed – Lizmark got moved to the rudo side, just in time to make that wrong too.

Boxere Erik Morales is starting up WBC Wrestling World Championship, a lucha libre division of boxing’s World Boxing Council. They’re going to use the boxing infrastructure to promote wrestling events with El Hijo del Santo. They’ll be promoting in Japan and the Phillapenes. It reads like this is an offshoot of the usual Tijuana stuff – both Rey Misterio Sr. and Benjamin Mora (WWA) are specifically mentioned as being involved.

AAA (FRI) 09/07 Gimnasio del Estadio Carlos Serdan Arechavaleta [Notiver]
1) Century & Tiger Boy vs Comet Williams & Kronos (indy)
2) Katin, La Parkita, Rey Egipto, Rocko Marvin vs Black Love, El Espectrito, Mini Charly Manson, Siniestro
3) Apolo, Black Baby, Celestial (Veracruz), Matematico Jr., Sange y Fuego vs Acero, Caballero Imperial, El Buitre, Sombra Guerrero, Triple XXX
4) Ferrari Jr., Laredo Kid, Rey Cometa, Ricky Marvin vs Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz, Rockero Infernal
5) Elegido, Intocable, Super Porky vs Charly Manson, Chessman, Corsario Matriz

El Sol de Hidalgo has an obit for Karloff Lagarde.

Magazines
Guerrero del Ring #103 has Atlantis & Ultimo ripping at a Villano III mask as tease for the cage match.
Super Luchas #384 hypes the cage match
SuperLuchas #228 has Misterio’s WWE return, Karloff Lagarde’s passing, and Atlantis and sons in Japan.

  1. Shows in Japan and Phillapenes? Are they nuts? 95% sure they have and “X” in their company name and like the other “X” companies, won’t be that good… at least I have hopes they’ll steal the MexPows… happy happy joy joy!!

According to Krisz’s lineups, Marvin is booked to be in NOAH’s 9/9 show… but working a spot show in his homeland makes sense… I wonder if the NotiAAA Blogger went to Japan as well and hence the lack of updates.

Will Sombra take Sangre’s title this month?

  2. “5) El Mesias & Espiritu b Octagon & Zorro

Octagon didn’t really participate in the match.”

    Hmmm, heel turn maybe?

  3. It reads more like Octagon was in no condition to help.

I bet the NotiAAABlogger was on the Japan trip – he’s either the site photographer or working with him – but they do have the internet in Japan! Must be busy.

  4. 5. Ricky Marvin/Kotaro Suzuki/Akira Taue vs. Naoki Sano/Takashi Sugiura/Yoshihiro Takayama

That would be a helluva plane flight back to Mexico.

  5. Marvin is coming back but not till the 10th or 11th. In fact, maybe not till the taping on the 13th.
