09/02: Coliseo, Japan, Azteca

Ovaciones has a bio of Karloff Lagarade today.

CMLL (SUN) 09/09 Arena Coliseo
1) Bam Bam & Fantasy vs Pequeno Violencia & Pierrothito
2) Astro Boy, Molotov, Tiger Kid vs Apocalipsis, Loco Max, Ramstein
3) Fabian el Gitano, Leono, Ogun vs Hooligan, Okumura, Skandalo
4) Felino, Mascara Purpura, Maximo vs Averno, Emilio Charles Jr., Mephisto
5) Blue Panther, Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Bucanero vs Atlantis, Olimpico, Ultimo Guerrero

First time Hooligan’s been around for a while, and he gets stuck with a goof troop match. That must be some sort of hazing. I guess I’m off on my Purpura/Emilio date – maybe next week.

LUCHA IN JAPAN

CMLL in Michinoku Pro: (Strong Style Spirit, SuperLuchas, KrisZ)

09/01 (they changed around brackets a little bit from what I had)
– Atlantis b El Samurai [Fukumen World League, qf, torneo]
– Tiger Mask IV b Olimpico [Fukumen World League, qf, torneo]

09/02
– Atlantis b Yoshitsune [Fukumen World League, sf, torneo]
– Gran Sasuke, Jushin Liger, Ultimo Dragon, Super Delfin, El Samurai b Rasse, Billy Ken Kid, Super Shisa, Shibaten, Olimpico [Sasuke b Shibaten]
– Tiger Mask IV b Atlanits [Fukumen World League, final, torneo]

soooooo close. Atlantis was the defending champion, but not so much anymore. Michinoku Pro really must love him – this is the same promotion he held the Tohoku Jr. title for a while.

If Olimpico’s team won the ten man tag, I would’ve put it over Appalachian State b Michigan as upset of the weekend – there’s out classed, and there’s what was going on there.

AAA in NOAH (Green Destiny)
1) Tajiri Ishimori, El Oriental, Laredo Kid b Rocky Romero, Antifaz, Histeria

AAA’s show is just a day or two away.

DeportTV highlights
2) Angel Blanco has a rope flip armdrag to the outside. We get a triple tope for the tecnicos in his match. Tony’s going with short blind hair for the moment. Rivera had Ramstein on his shoulders for a Super Nova plancha, but Ramstein got in the victory roll and Apocalpisis did the counter dropkick for the win
3) Stuka’s Asai Moonsault is shown, as well as bottom rope springboard headscissors to the outside. Leono and Mictlan hit a tornillo and a over the top rope tope on the same side of the ring to complete the dives, and Stuka hits a more DDT-ish STO to pin Eufroia for the win.
4) Maximo is strechered out after an abdominal stretch. That can’t be right. Alex hit moves, but Satanico faked a foul out of nowhere for the win. I guess it’s supposed to get him heat because he cheated to win in a situation where they could’ve easily won by numbers. (Or maybe he wasn’t supposed to win clean?)
5) Lizmark ambushed Panther and jumped him as he came out. Lizmark finds folded up umbrellas on you. Highlights of Universo being unable to stand on Bucanero’s back for the submission pose. That may have been the spot, since Panther was coming in to break it up. We see a very bad looking superkick in here, Lizmark hits the side slam, and then flash ahead to the rudos pushing down the rudos so they can rip off Panther’s mask.

Accion was a half hour and started six minutes later. I presume this means nothing aired, since that’s what happens on half hour shows, but I’ll tape the 4AM.

Updates may be at unusual time tomorrow.

  1. I think someone in the CMLL office has a very… unpleasant to the eyes sister… which would explain how Skandalo has a job here, he’s not really good for a small arena bottom of the card and still gets booked this high in Coliseo? Well, maybe he’s not that bad, he must have a hard time dating that sister…

AAA in Japan results should start poping about noon…
