08/23: Wagner, Guadalajara

CMLL/GDL

Dr. Wagner’s wife is quoted in today’s Ovaciones, saying Wagner’s condition is worse than expected. He’s rehabbing hard, wants to return soon and will visit the doctor on Thursday. They’ll know how close Wagner actually is to returning at that time.

Atlantis is interviewed in ESTO, claiming his mask is more valuable than el Hijo del Santo. He actually tries to defend this:
– he’s beaten bigger stars in his mask/mask matches, so his mask is more valid
– he’s done more in Arena Mexico
– he’s a living legend and world wide star

Perro’s still teasing a new Perro any time now.

NAH. Good try, though.

  1. Noti AAA blog says Ciber is still booked in Japan. Doesn’t make sense that only he is staying behind to work the taping on the 31st so they might have a weird angle in that main event.

Ricky Marvin will officialy cement his status as the best worker in the world if he can pull something out of Cibernetico on September 2nd.

The Wagner injury sure came from out of nowhere, huh? And walking around with a walker? That seems odd.

  2. The Puebla recap says it was not a full house (but a good draw nonetheless), but one has to consider Puebla Arena is small, and even with the returning Perrillo, they couldn’t sell it out… so, I doubt Wagner injury is an angle since they need some drawing power in these hard late August early September season (with the kids back to school, there are lots of expenses and families are left with little money)

  3. He got injured after Ultimo powerbombed him after his dive in their ArMex match. He has not worked since, although in Juarez Silver King supposedly subbed him.
