I’ve just found out that both these matches got cut, and I’m so annoyed. Both were in the “good, but if they got some more time, they could’ve been great” category, and to find out they had that time but we couldn’t see it for a boring look at Dos Caras Jr….agh. This show – and the other one – doesn’t need any more than the hour it already has, it just needs to make better use of the time.

Here’s an idea – anyone who watches the show twice can tell you’re just using generic entrance music for each guy, and it makes the show look second call. Cut out the entrances, and not the matches.

On the upside, we didn’t get minutes of “spot, kickout, everyone lays around for twenty seconds, repeat”, so there’s something.

I hope Amapola/Marcela get a rematch down the road, but this was the good title defense all the belts they want to do something with should have every three to four months. Amapola fought like a strong challenger, Marcela still stopped here, and the fact that she has the belt means something.

Virus won totally clean in the other singles match, which was a little bit of a surprise to me. Tony did not have one of his better nights – falling on your head can do that – but Virus looked really good throughout. They really need to show more of the hair cutting when they do that bit – that’s the point of the match, after all.

I’ve got to put Magadan’s shoutout to Chicago up here somewhere, so someone can confirm I wasn’t hearing things. I swear he said hi to Jesse, which may mean jtron has hookups the likes you wouldn’t believe.
