08/07: not much

No Puebla, last dozen times I checked. No Guadalajara, no IWRG, not much today. Monday, La Oreja broke the story that Perro Aguayo Jr. had returned to wrestling on Friday, and that I’m linking to that is how slow it is for content. Perro does appear to claim the people love him because he gives 100% in that article, so it’s at least got some humor value to it.

The AAA Queretaro pictures did go end up going all up. Of note, the skit to introduce the new AAA Heavyweight championship included Zorro, Charly and Cibernetico bringing out their belts. I believe they all handed those belts over to Prez Roldan as part of the tournament, but I figure we should wait till it airs on TV to see if it comes off as all three belts being vacated (and possibly killed off.) If that’s right, it would seem AAA is doing exactly what I thought they should do – scary!

Been looking around for some sort of Atlantis update, but I haven’t seen any news posted.

Luchas 2000 #380 has Wagner burning a Perros del Mal shirt.

Guerreros del Ring #99 has Ultimo Guerrero (though not in a ring.) I wonder what they’re doing for 100. Well, I figure a big issue, that’s for sure.

If the “KG” who posted the Lucha Libre show in Des Moines is reading this – what time is the show? It’s not on the comment or on the website, as far as I can see.

I wonder if it’s later enough to make it the second stop, after this show in Chicago. (2PM Bell)

As soon as I can find time to write the preview blurbs, I should have a couple episods of AAA TV up, and I’m half way done with this week’s FSE. Lucha Times update will probably going to be on Thursday this week.

  1. Guerreros have something about Wagner forming “La Ola del Mal” with himself and Triada. Too bad the CMLL bookers don’t know about it… well, maybe the magazine made that up, who knows.
