Air Date
Mex: 07/15 – as TripleMania is airing.
US: 08/04

This is a tough positioned taping, because whatever they were going to do here, it couldn’t sell them any more ticket to TripleMania. This is airing at the same time. You gotta keep building for TV purposes, but you can’t do anything new, because few are going to know about it at the big show. So it looks like they decided to run the big angle on the Monterrey show, and then just kept things in place here.

The one surprise was Sabu running in during the main event, helping the Legion by putting Cibernetico’s second La Parka Jr. thru a table. I would presume this means he’s the mystery rudo. Haven’t seen it confirmed, but he’s definitely on the show with some role. I forget, Sabu’s already scheduled to be in the match. So still no idea who’s in the mystery spot, though the easy guess would be Abismo being put back in the slot.

I’ll add if details show up.

Update: AAA’s posted their recap. There’s no mention of the MP/Sect match either. Must’ve not happened. Not sure what the deal is. Not really complaining.

Mesias won the bull terrier match with a low blow that the ref missed.

Zorro wrestled in a neck collar, selling the piledrive from Monterrey. X-Pac beat Latin with his face slam.

Apache won with a martiente on Laredo Kid. Calo busted open Super Fly for good measure.

AAA lists the winning side on the segunda as “The Night Queens”.

Future Tapings
07/15 Triplemania
– 07/16 Leon (lineup should be out this week)
– 07/28 Tlaxaca
– some August ones I saw on AAA MEX TV but neglected to write down. (professional!)

  1. Sabu was in AAAMania from the start. I guess Black Pearl will be the mystery guy, although he and Kishi might be just sitting near the ring, like KENTA in last year’s Rey de Reyes.

Psicodelico and Incognito couldn’t take the NWA tag titles…
