Will Wagner and Mistico meet in a mask match as Tim Evans predicts? Two big shows remain at Arena Mexico this year- Anniversary and year-end so who knows? I still say it would’ve been better if Volador Jr. wanted to “meet Mistico” in the main like Wagner volunteered to do. Mistico vs. Volador Jr. could be the big money match in the future for CMLL.
6 years teasing a masks match with LA Park, 10 with Atlantis, 14 with Canek, who knows how many with Hijo del Santo, Rayo de Jalisco Jr and then you think Wagner-Mistico will hapen in 10 weeks? This ain’t Smackdown, you know?

Out of stupidity, what is the story with Mistico and Wagner?
CMLL would be too dumb to have Mistico vs Wagner by Anniversary’s show. I guess Wagner would take Atlantis and Canek masks before that happens, so we would be talking for somewhere in 2009 or beyond.
If anything, it’s 2005 all over again, but with Mistico instead of Atlantis. Since I doubt CMLL would turn Mistico rudo, I guess they’ll kiss and make up, probably after a run in on Wagner this Friday.
If the Cage match idea comes thru, I wonder if we’re going to have a whole bunch of Perros, a whole bunch of Panther/Mistico anti-Perro forces, and Wagner in there – teasing the turn, but doing the makeup with Mistico.
Mistico a Rudo, that would be as big as when Hijo De Santo turned Rudo.
My call is this if Wagner turns rudo again, Atlantis turns technico again.
CMLL booking is crap, I mean, one day they had Corleone saying he’s 1000000% Guapo and going to settle the score on Shocker, and then they’re part of the same group with no build up to it.
Ultimo/Euforia/Wagner makes no sense at all, Euforia is Satanico’s attempt to get at Ultimo, Ultimo is Atlantis’ buddy… I say Atlantis and Olimpico run in to beat on Wagner and Mistico makes the save, ending this already.
Why do people always try to make sense of CMLL booking? It’s impossible. Every decision is made the day of the show at a 5 minute (if that) meeting. There is no direction whatsoever. Look at the Stuka Jr./Jeque mask match. Someone just decided to have Jeque return from nowhere, feud with Stuka Jr. for no reason over the span of 4 weeks, then nobody bothered to let the referee know the proper finish to the match. I can understand that happening in a pointless undercard match but this was a MASK VS MASK MATCH and nobody “in charge” could be bothered to make it sure went right.
The people in charge of CMLL aren’t fit to run a building that only needs to draw 50 fans, let alone a promotion that runs shows all over Mexico.
How can anyone shoot down the idea of CMLL rushing into a Mistico vs. Wagner mask match? Black Warrior vs. Mistico came from out of nowhere. We’re in the beginning of July and the Anniversary show is about three months away, so that’s not rushing.
But I’m sticking to my prediction of a Villano 4 losing his mask this year. The price will be easier to negotiate. Wagner must want $125,000 for his hood.
The Black Warrior thing started from late November early December 2005, the fact that CMLL incompetence made it look out of nowhere is a different matter. That money would be not enough for Wagner and CMLL wouldn’t even offer him half of that.
It’s more likely they’ll have Corleone vs Universo part III for the anniv, unless Perrillo finally decides to give his hair up, considering his failure at 5magnificos, I would be about time.
Another Prediction: Mistico will take Santo’s mask by 2016. BANK ON IT.
Wagner/Mistico will either happen in December or before July next year.
2016? I doubt Hijo del Santo would (I assume Hijo del since Santo will be 32 years dead by then) put his mask in the line by then since he would have Mistico mask’s already under his belt!!!
