ESTO/Purpura’s new gear

2) Dark Angel, Diana La Cazdora, Luna Magica b Amapola, Hiroka, Mima Shimoda
3) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Mascara Purpura b Negro Casas & Stuka Jr. [gran alternativa, qf]
4) La Sombra & Mistico b Heavy Metal & Super Nova [gran alternativa, qf]
5) Dos Caras Jr. & Valiente b Flash & Marco Corelone [gran alternativa, qf]

7) La Sombra & Mistico b Dr. Wagner Jr. & Mascara Purpura [gran alternativa, sf]
8) Euforia & Ultimo Guerrero b Dos Caras Jr. & Valiente [gran alternativa, sf]
9) La Sombra & Mistico b Euforia & Ultimo Guerrero [gran alternativa, final]
10) Blue Panther DQ Lizmark Jr.

Blue Panther won the first fall clean. The second ended with Garza, Terrible, and Villano V running in, and Lizmark yanking off Panther’s mask again. Panther had to be helped out.

After their semifinal match, Wagner teased a rudo turn and challenged Mistico’s team to a rematch. I would guess this is just random grandstanding.

FWIW, Ultimo Guerrero gave Super Comando the Guerrero Special in their first round match, which meant Euforia was the one to pin Villano V

Metalico hurt his knee in the opener, despite the win.

CMLL (TUE) 07/03 Arena Coliseo
1) Molotov & Trueno vs Messala & Zayco
2) Bam Bam, Bracito de Oro, Celestial vs Mini Halloween, Mini Mr. Aguila, Pequeno Damian
3) Lady Apache, Luna Magica, Marcela vs La Nazi, La Seductora, Rosa Negra
4) Eclipse, Misterioso II, Pierroth vs Felino, Heavy Metal, Leono

3) Alex Koslov, Felino, Heavy Metal vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
4) Terrible, Villano III, Villano V vs Blue Panther, Dr. Wagner Jr., Sagrado
5) Mistico, Negro Casas, Sombra vs Atlantis, Euforia, Ultimo Guerrero

Probably should’ve seen this one coming – the guy they’re hoping to be their next Mistico is already starting a feud with the guy they’ve positioned as their next Averno.

AAA updated their website with the full cards for 07/01 and 07/06, but no TV tapings past that.

CMLL GdR #83 has
06/22 Mexico: Dark Angel, Lady Apache, Marcela b Hiroka, Mima Shimoda, Princesa Sujei
06/24 Coliseo: Damián 666, Halloween, Mr. Águila b Heavy Metal, Máximo, Sombra
Outside the ring with Texano Jr.

Next Saturday’s FSE lucha libre show is listed as “Dos Caras Jr. vs Universo 2000”, so that should be the episode which has already in Mexico. Beyond that, I don’t know.

No Sunday lineup yet.

  1. It seems there’s a totally unimportant Copa America match that is sending CMLL to at least to 17:00 (18:00 EST)

  2. Yeah it’s scheduled for 17:00 which sucks since I am bored NOW and don’t feel like getting up from the computer.

  3. What can I say… I’m watching Rayo Jr making his entrance now in IWRG, try to beat THAT for bore-ness

  4. I just watched the Rayo return to CMLL match.:( So we’re both suffering now. God that match was so bad… Rayo, Wagner, Koslov against Atlantis, Tarzan, Sangre Azteca. Zzzzzzzzz…

  5. I guess Henrik went by his word and is not watching up for spoilers, but I actually am more interested in GA now.

  6. He read spoilers, he just e-mailed me. I think he’s just hiding till it’s time for the tournament.

I was thinking of e-mailing him a hint that Super Comando won but I thought that’d be too mean if he got so excited, ended up reading spoilers and was then really disapointed.:)

    Haha, nah – i failed. :(

Accidentaly clicked onto the CMLL site earlier to check out next weeks lineups without thinking that last nights results probably dictated some of those matches. So when i saw Sombra and Euforia headlining, it wasn’t too hard to figure out who the finalists were last night.

Is this Bolivia/Uruguay game a group match or knockout? – ie, is it defo finishing on time for CMLL or is there a chance of extra-time and penalties?

  8. I believe they’re still in the group stage – the tournament just got started Wed/Thu.

  9. CMLL is on.

XEJ-TV feed is the best it’s ever been.

If you’re on the net and you like CMLL, this is the week to watch folks.

    Looks like:

    – Women from Arena Mex
    – Panther vs Liz Jr.
    – Gran Alternativa as the main

No mini’s.:( But airing the women this week means one of the weekend shows next week is for sure airing a mini’s match. YAY!:D

  10. It doesn’t bother me b/c it GUARANTEES the mini’s airing next week (since no way the tag opener from Arena Mexico is airing anywhere) on one of the weekend shows. I’ll take one mini’s match over the chance of both getting skipped. Plus, Tzuki is in next week’s match.:D

  11. Yeah the Link just cut off for me. The women’s match wasn’t horrible. Kinda like a AAA women’s match without the greatness of Fabi and Sexy Starr. Diana needs to turn ruda and do a Victoria crazy gimmick with that bald head.

  12. I’ll give it a 50-50 to the minis and late night opener. If CMLL latest craze is to push the youngsters, it would make sense to air it.

I was hoping that they didn’t air the LizJr vs Panther match, just like they did a while ago. I think that the Father’s day un-spectacular was 6 match show, so I’m thinking it’s pretty likely another match from there will air next week.

  13. Poor flash, one of his few matches on TV and he gets booed… bad!

I say it again, tecs vs tecs was not a great idea.

  14. Not having guys lie Texano Jr or Maximo helped since all the rookies wanted to show their stuff, and even Ultimo, Wagner and Mistico were showing some intensity that helped the overall feeling of the tourney, but the usual CMLL dumb booking and TV producing damaged this, of course, most matches had big chunks cut off from them.
I wonder if they told the guys to keep their dives off since there were not that many, but maybe next week’s Momentos will show some.

Mistico and Super Nova can not and should not be working against other NEVER!!! CMLL should consider releasing Corleone, right now, I think even Kenzo is a bigger factor in AAA while in CMLL, no one seems to care about Corleone, Flash got some offense on Dos Caras Jr but got booed. Good thing that the Villano/Guerrero face off was done at the first leg since else, Super Comando would have passed out for working for two.

Ultimo was actually selling a lot for the youngsters and even jobbed to Valiente, oddly, he worked relatively little with Sombra. I guess this could have been a great show live, but fell a bit short on TV.

  15. The following was sent to me on Friday. It’s AAA’s 6/24 rating in Mexico. Maybe Chui will translate it later.

  16. Multimedios TV has cut a deal to provide programming for Pappas stations in Houston, San Francisco, etc.. These are the stations that left Azteca as of today 7/1.

One of the shows being considered by Pappas is Llaves y Candados. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

  17. They said that the ratings don’t include the lower income segment, so I guess it means they get their numbers by phone polls, which seems odd.

  18. I’ve heard that the AAAMania has been released in Mexico City (flyers), but the show is just saying it’s a 7 match card, atomicos, escaleras, increibles, idolos, cage and something else… maybe they’ll give the full lineups at NOTIAAA.

  19. Should had held up a few minutes. AAAMania card is nearly identical to what Mario Rivera had said, some shuffling around, Cage match on top, aparently the Relevos Suicida is in the middle and not the opening, Fuerza vs Juvie is a street match instead of a bull terrier (makes sense since later today, that’s the match in Mty).

  20. Nope, well they have a Luchador Sorpresa in the Legion Extrangera, so maybe they still have hopes of getting him.

  21. Box y Lucha posted the card a few minutes ago (I bet they were watching the show expecting it =) )

Sorry about the all caps, that’s how they put it.

  22. Well I just saw the tournament and it really is silly to comment on anything since it was like watching 7 straight matches like they air on Accion. They even cut away from a Mascara Purpura dive in progress!

I was under the impression they edited out all the dives but to me it seemed the matches were entirely dives only. They missed Valiente’s dive, a dive by Purpura and I assume one by Flash as well but the first two aired right before the actual matches began in a highlight package so they did make TV technically.

Finals seemed to be in full as far as I could tell and it was a fun match that the crowd seemed into.

If anything Valiente came out the star in my mind b/c he pinned Corleone and then Guerrero both cleanly! Crowd even popped and was genuinely surprised he went over Guerrero. So without winning the tournament I think he accomplished a lot on the night when it comes to his status.

I should also mention Super Nova looked horrible in the short time he made TV and if he weren’t related to anyone in the promotion, a performance like this would be worthy of lifetime burial much like the Ramstein situation.
