06/20: Coliseo, Monterrey, SLP

CMLL (TUE) 06/19 Arena Coliseo
1) Fantasy & Tsuki b Fire & Sombrita
2) Astro Boy, Sensei, Trueno b Artillero, Hooligan, Super Comando
3) Stuka Jr., Tiger Metalico, Tigre Blanco b Arkangel, Mr. Mexico, Nitro
4) Euforia, Nosferatu, Virus b Felino, Maximo, Sombra
5) Alex Koslov, Heavy Metal, Marco Corleone b Eclipse, Sangre Azteca, Ultimo Guerrero

So now Warrior’s been missing Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (Eclipse replacing him here.) Note ESTO‘s listing of Puebla and Coliseo’s lineup – they did expect Warrior to miss this show, but not Monday’s. CMLL’s website still lists Warrior working this show. CMLL.com notes Sahori will be out three weeks with a knee injury, but doesn’t say anything at all about Warrior, so I think there’s something bigger going on here. It’d be neat to have AAA TV tapings results.

Coreone won the main event with a pinfall over Ultimo. Mr. Mexico filled in for Loco Max. Not much news from this show.

CMLL (MON) 06/18 Domo de la Feria [am.com.mx]
1) Dr. Wagner, Shocker, Vampiro b Atlantis, Olimpico, Universo 2000

Vampiro, with a rare match outside of Guadalajara, got the pin over Universo.

AAA (SUN) 06/24 Arena Coliseo Monterrey [rfc]
1) Aguila Extreme & Panterita del Ring II vs Invasor & Mercurio
2) Orus & Ramses vs Barba Roja & Karis
3) Estrellita & Josselin vs May Flowers & Polvo de Estrellas
4) Pimpinela Escarlata & the Mummy vs Antifaz & Hator
5) Charly Manson & Gronda II vs Monsther & Pirata Morgan

How many articles have their been in the Sol de San Luis (Potosi) about tonight’s AAA house show? 1 (06/20), 2 (06/19), 3 (06/18), 4 (06/17), 5 (06/16), 6 (06/10), 7 (06/09), 8 (06/07), 9 (06/05), 10 (06/03) – that I can find quickly. 75% of the text is the same in each one.

  1. I had thought about Black Warrior jumping to AAA as well, he would fit well with Guapos VIP, but I guess he would have to work there before AAAMania, since it’s a while for July 15 so that he would be a surprise luchador.

After at least 10 mentions in the SLP newspaper, lets see if they post up the results this week…

  2. They pimp the hell out of their shows too bad more of the other periodicos don’t do more of it or in some cases any at all.

  3. Have Black Warrior and Abismo ever been in the same building together? Black Warrior= Abismo Negro? Nah I doubt it.

  4. They also have Acapulco on Wednesdays although we really never hear about those shows. Plus Arena Neza on Thursdays (or has it moved? I can’t remember now). I also count the Cuernavaca (Arena Isabel) shows on Thursday since 3 out of 4 matches are always CMLL talent plus titles are defended regularly there.

  5. Lookee here

AAA 6/17 – Gimnasio de Usos Multiples de la Unidad Deportiva de Zinacantepec (TV Taping) (Dia del Padre)
    1. Aero Star/Canibal/Explosivo beat Los Diabolicos (Angel Mortal/Mr. Condor/Gallego)
    2. Alan/Decnis/Gran Apache/Super Calo defeated La Fuerza Aerea (Laredo Kid/Pegasso/Rey Cometa/Super Fly)
    3. Cinthia Moreno & Fabi Apache beat Ayako Hamada & Rossy Moreno by DQ when Gran Hamada got involved. Gran Apache evened up the odds and a match between the Hamadas & Apaches was basically made.
    4. Mexican Power (Crazy Boy/Extreme Tiger/Joe Lider) defeated Escoria/Espiritu/Psicosis – Escoria had to leave on a stretcher after being suplexed through a table by Tiger.
    5. Alebrije/Octagon (subbing for Juventud Guerrera)/Super Astro beat Alan Stone/Fuerza Guerrera/Scorpio Jr.
    6. Latin Lover/La Parka Jr./Zorro defeated El Mesias/Ozz/Kenzo Suzuki when Cibernetico distracted Mesias so Lover could roll him up in a la magistral. La Secta came out in full force after the match and beat everyone up including Cibernetico where Mesias told Cibernetico that he was a useless god and good for nothing and that he would end his career in a Steel Cage from Hell match.

  6. If I am a betting man, Black Warrior is AAA bound, and either Latin Lover, Intocable or Eligido is EMLL bound.

  7. Black Warrior in AAA would be awesome. I hope it ends up being that and not a serious injury.

  8. Re Odessa:

They used to run Boxing on Saturdays, I think even in Gdl and Mty it was like the traditional day for boxing, but once it got to be PPV exclusive and taken out from free tv, boxing died.
