9:15 a.m. The Son of the Aguayo Dog outside has left of ‘‘Los 5 Magníficos’’

El Hijo del Perro Aguayo no sólo estará fuera de ‘‘Los 5 Magníficos’’ sino de la lucha libre, ya que calculan que se recuperará de la lesión en su rodilla por espacio de nueve meses.

The Son of the Aguayo Dog not only will be outside “the 5 Magnificent ones” but of lucha libre, since they calculate that he will recover of the injury in his knee by space of nine months.

Sounds like a (?)CL tear. Remember, Mistico did NOT end up wrestling this week, and we still don’t know if he’ll have surgery.

CMLL is screwed.

Update: CMLL.com says Perro was hurt Thursday night and taken to the hospital on Friday. It is a ligament, but they’re saying at least 6 months. He’s done for this year.

  1. Not good. This is not good for CMLL or the Perros, unless Garza is now the defacto leader.

  2. Dammit. Just when you think Mistico is back way faster than expected and we will FINALLY have that way too long expected Mascara Contra Cableara match, the better of the two is out ’till at least the rest of the year. Can it get any worse? I believe not.

    Now what Lucha fans worldwide really have to do is write an honest letter to one Paco Alonso asking for our saviour in the silver mask back… Not that it would help, but still.

  4. I’m not too bothered about Perro being out, won’t be all that big a loss to my viewing enjoyment :)

    Interesting to think what direction they’ll go for the rest of the year though.

    Personally, i’d like to see a Shocker V Ultimo feud take the spotlight over the summer, throwing ReyBuc and Atlantis into things. Maybe culminate in a mask V hair match in the anniversary show with Rey as Shocker’s 2nd costing him it, turning and becoming a Guerrero again. If only Shocker could just find it in him to turn up to shows. :(

    Of course, that’s if i can’t get a Volador / Ultimo feud. :D

    I really hope they don’t just bring Vampiro up from Guadalajara and bring in Rayo, Axxel etc to ‘compensate’ for the loss of the 2 biggest stars.

    The Leyenda De Plata will also be pretty interesting now as i would have imagined the plan was for a Mistico/Perro final. Everybody else in it is a step down.

    I suppose Neutron subbing in this torneo is too much to ask for? :) Seriously, what’s the betting it will be Shitmark Jr even if that is rudo for tecnico?

  5. This hasn’t been the best couple of months for wrestlers in general. First Mistico than La Parka Jr. now Perro? I smell a Cien Caras return!!!

    You can’t trust Shocker to be in a main feud. Who knows if he’s going to show up or not?

  6. Poor Perrito, all these years refusing to take bumps, make catches, blading, even chickening out of some of the competitions at his reality show… all for nothing…

    CMLL is in trouble if Mistico is out long term (but I don’t think he is).

    Rest of the year without Perrito… my birthday present came late this year but I’ll take it.
