  1. I suggest you start packing your bags then.:D

    Everyone watch this! AWESOME!

  2. Chui – Did AAA TV start early? I just tuned in and it’s the 3 way tag match.

  3. Started a bit earlier than 15:00 over here, weird that it started with Fuerza’s Gaunlet match. Dunno, maybe it is another 2 hour show…

  4. Well that was quite the neat little gauntlet match.

I don’t understand how Super Fly seems to be so overlooked in favour of Laredo Kid (and even Rey Cometa). Imo he’s awesome and is easily the best out of the members of the Air force. I’d love to see him in CMLL.

Arguably the most photogenic and graceful highflyer in the world right now. He should be the one who had the Laredo Kid push recently.

  5. I think Laredo Kid has more long-term potential although right now Super Fly is definitely more spectacular. Super Fly just has the tendency to want to do dives and land on his feet or back. Moves like those don’t make for a long career unfortunately. Laredo Kid is also supposed to be well trained on the mat even though he never gets to show it so he always has something to fall back on.

I’m really in the minority I guess b/c I think Rey Cometa is way ahead of both Laredo Kid and Super Fly.:)

You might change your mind on Laredo if you saw his dive from the 4/1 TV Taping, Henrik.;)

  6. See, from what i’ve saw Rob, i’d disagree and say that Laredo Kid looks the most reckless and more likely to have a shorter career. More often than not he just dives to nowhere and puts his life in his catchers hands. SuperFly on the other looks far more controlled and safe in what he does because he obviously has a really well trained background in gymnastics. He looks to be keeping within his limits in contrast to Laredo Kid who is always going that bit further to become more insane to the point where he’s way out of his comfort/safety zone.

Whilst he undoubtedly puts a lot of pressure on his knee joints from all those backflips to feet for example, SuperFly always looks far more in control and as though he’s absorbing the impact as well as possible – likewise with that other nutty spot he does with the tope con giro into rolling on the floor.

If laredo Kid is good on the mat then he doesn’t show it. I really don’t think there’s much to him at all other than his crazy corkscrew dives. He doesn’t look particularly smooth or fluid when it comes to mat wrestling basics or headscissors/armdrags etc. Granted, he dives well, but that seems to be about all he brings to the table.

Rey Cometa has always impressed me, i think he looks great, spectacular and really well rounded and i don’t mean to criticise him by inclusing his name – unlike Laredo Kid, i’m not saying that Rey Cometa isn’t very good – just that Super Fly is better :)

C’mon – what was the dive??? It must’ve been one of the weeks when XEJTV had no reception – and i ain’t wasting no money on AAA tapes so you might as well tell me! :-p

I also didn’t get a great view of that running springboard dive he hit onto Calo today as the screen was kinda lagging in those few seconds. Was it just a straight plancha or did he add a corkscrew or two?

  7. Odessa – We were refering to the Mexico TV show today.

Henrik – What did Chessman do, I wasn’t watching today once I realized I tuned in late.:( Oh, and Laredo’s dive was where he walked across the top rope (ala Undertaker but with no help) and then suddenly moonsaulted to the floor from the middle of the ropes just when you thought he was going to jump back into the ring!

  8. Meh, K-Kwik can do that :D
    Nah, sounds neat.

As for Chessman – only a moonsault through a table about 2/3rds of the way across the ring from the top of the cage! Dunno if it was just the camera angles but the cage looked higher than the match last year when he done the same but without the table.

Mesias hit a pretty nutty splash from the top too but that kinda paled into comparison after Chessman. :)
