03/25: IWRG, Dos Leyenda, FSE

On Friday’s Figure Four Daily, Vampiro said he and CMLL talked things thru, and he expects to back in the promotion in June. He plans on working a limited schedule.

That Vampiro interview was quite something. It’s worth $7.95 for it – heck, it almost was worth $79.95.

IWRG

IWRG (THU) 03/22 Arena Naucalpan
1) Comando Gama b Aguila Oriental
2) King Boy & Puma King b Sadico & Supremo Jr.
3) Black Terry, Fantasma de la Ópera, Peligro b Ave Fenix, Freelance, Kid Tiger
4) Kraneo, Pierroth Jr., Veneno b Astro Boy, Kai, Leono
5) Alex Koslov, El Hijo del Solitario, Negro Navarro DQ Bestia Salvaje, Damián 666, Masada

Yamato was supposed to be in the semimain, but Veneno gave him a martiente before the match, and that was the end of Yamato. See the neck brace over there. I’m guessing this guy’s AJPW trainee Hiroshi Mihara and Kai is Atsushi Sakai, but I may have that backwards.

In the main Damian fouled Koslov, but Solitario pulled the ref and counted himself, which got Damian to stop covering. Solitario then faked a foul for the win.

Ovaciones says Dos Leyenda will start rotating around each year, honoring Luttertoh and another random legend. This would be entirely sensible if we didn’t know the actual inspiration for this change.

Ovaciones also says tickets for that show will be up any second now on ticketmaster – looking right now, they’re still not.

Accion wasn’t on at it’s normal time this week, and the next replay isn’t till 4 AM. I’ll add it tomorrow if I remember.

CMLL on FSE has:
03/18 Coliseo: Alex Koslov, La Mascara, Volador Jr. vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
03/18 Coliseo: Leono vs Mogur [hair]

You know, you haven’t really seen the Burger King till you’ve seen him playing three card monty in Spanish.

  1. Vampiro in CMLL is great news for me. I loved him when he was in CMLL and what I saw of him in the MTV wrestling, he was great. Great news.

That CMLL on FSE looks great. Hopefully I will have that soon enough.

  2. Vampiro in CMLL… I’m sure he will draw better than what Nicho would had… but what about the guys who have been loyal to CMLL all these years only to see Shocker, Corleone, Koslov, Vampiro, Eclipse, Mictlan pushed ahead them… (and I’m only talked about the second half of 2006 to this day)

BTW, word is that Nicho is out of AAA already (ByL foro)

  3. Loyalty? Who cares about loyalty? Loyalty doesn’t get Paco Alonso off. Bodybuilding competitions where Mictlan and Eclipse look great are what gets him off.

  4. Actually i’m betting Yamato is Yamato Onodera, a Dragon Gate trainee who is on a learning excursion to America & Mexico right now.

  5. i saw accion at 11:00 replay and they shown the CMLL 6-man main event with some highlights of the match.Mascara 2000 came in at the end to cause the dq.they shown the AAA Rey De Reyes 6-way match.Rhino was a suppose to gore Parka Jr. to the table but miss and hit Abismo.Parka wins with a school boy and wins the RDR.Misterio,Latin and i think intocable came in to celebrate with Parka Jr.

  6. Vampiro’s only
contribution to cmll last time around, was hitting that awesome looking chokeslam on Tazan Boy(broke his neck though)and almost ending Que Monito.

  7. Imagine CMLL in June…

    1. Vampiro vs Marco Corleone main event feud.

    2. Mistico and Axxel tearing it up in tag action.

    3. La Mascara feuding with new rudo Lizmark Jr.

    4. Ogun and Mictlan working undercards.

If I was a fan of conspiracy theories, I’d suggest someone on the inside is trying to ruin the company. Then I just think about things rationally and remember Paco Alonso is a drunk and has a staff of clueless idiots and it all makes sense.
