01/21: Accion, Tijuana, Misterioso II

The big news on Accion is they got a new graphics package. And also matches – neither got as much time as usual.

CMLL: Wagner/Shocker/Univeros vs Park/Ultimo/Atlantis. Universo did his plancha, Wagner did his ramp dive, taking out the Guerreros. This left Park and Shocker in. They set up a spot where Shocker went for a spear, Park moves, and referee Babe Richard takes it, except that Babe wasn’t really lined up behind Park – Shocker had to slightly turn to make it work, and it didn’t look accidental at all. He should’ve got DQed for that, but Park makes a show of getting fouled.

AAA: Park/Octagon/Intocable vs Cibernetico/Chessman/Charly from Puebla. Parka’s big comeback move is punching people in the face. They still seem to be working this the same way as always, despite the Hell Brothers semingly being good guys by now. Parka blatantly fouled Cibernetico (it was Copetes who called for the DQ) and that’s all we see.

Friday night in Tijuana Super Muneco won the mask of Coco Negro. His name is Gustavo Martinez, from Mexico City, but he’s more specifically a random person put under a Coco mask to partner with Coco Rojo and help build the Coco/Muenco feud. [YucaRod on Box Y Lucha, Abraham A. Domínguez Ramirez on el Halcon]

El Halcon also has a reprint of a local article – Misterioso II talks about a fight he got in with a fan. (This is the video in comments, right?) Fan threw a beer, Misterioso was angry, Misterioso wanted to throw a beer back at the fan, couldn’t get one, and so he just slapped him. He now realizes that was not the way to go, but something had to be done, and he feels there’s a segment of fans who don’t respect them.

Ricky Marvin, and partner Kotaro Suzuki, won NOAH’s GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.

  1. I hope those people in the Puro folder over at DVDVR don’t visit this site or you are gonna be in a lot of trouble…

AAA doesn’t tape TV in MTY on my b-day. I screwed up. They tape in Irapuato on February 5th and Puebla on February 9th. Then they tape in Urupan on February 16th and Orizaba on March 3rd.

  2. I had read that the CMLL main event was bad, but actually, besides the screw ending, I think it was fine.

Yep, Hell Brothers are working as usual, at least against these tecnicos… Crowd was not happy with Parka-ris suspesion.

Misterioso says that the fan threw “Polvo Pica Pica”, which is a itch producing… dust? I was there, but couldn’t see as I was on the other side of the ring… hope this doesn’t end in a suspension for him…

  3. To save you the pain of trying to figure out what was it…

AAA TV (SAT) 01/20 Parque de Beisbol, Guan

** Aparently, there was a dark minis match, Mascarita de la Muerte?

    1) Cinthia Moreno, Estrellita, Fabi Apache vs Miss Janeth, Rossy Moreno, Tiffany

    Rudas won, Estrellita juiced.

    2)Chris Stone & Hator ?? Alien’s & Gran Apache [AAA TAG, 1st]

3)Pegasso & Super Fly and Escoria & Espíritu [AAA TAG, 1st]

Hell Brothers ran in post match, Scoria escaped but Espiritu was beaten (I expect more blood here :))

Octagon was given a plaque or something, Tirantes said he had a gift for Octy… Fuerza Guerrera!!!! MORE JUICE!!!

    4) Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis II ?? (yes, the guy was not that guy reporting) Barba Roja, Drake, Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan Jr.

    5) Alberije, el Ángel, El Elegido, Laredo Kid vs (Mr Niebla?) Abismo Negro, Antifaz del Norte, Histeria

Tecnicos won after Hijo del Tirantes ran in to foul Abismo, I guess that happened according to today’s storylines.

    6) Gronda II, Intocable, Super Porky ?? Alan Stone, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido

Intocable subbed Octy, so I guess it really means something his beating… Safe bet to say Tecnicos won, probably by DQ when Hator and Chris ran in…

Place was stacked, or so the guy said…

  4. So did anyone catch FSE? – looked like it might’ve been a pretty good show if it aired Volador/Mistico/Wagner V Averno/Mephisto/Universo, and Purpura/Virus/Rivera V Dr Eckeees/Mr Mexico/Holligan

  5. Yep, those were the matches, pretty good, except they did the typical cmll formula match, falls 1 & 2 of each match were barely a minute each. They should just make the change over to one fall matches.

  6. I forgot to watch it…

The bad thing is that Arena Mexico’s semi also had falls 1 and 2 lasting about 2 minutes and one of the AULL Matches went for about 10 minutes as well… well two went for about 10 minutes but one was a one fall match.

CMLL can not do 1 fall matches (save the ladies) because they’re the defenders of the real lucha, they can not turn into a freak show!!
