Recapped:
06/21/07

Unmasked: Coloso

Match 1: La Nazi, Rosa Negra, Hiroka (c) vs Marcela, India Sioux, Dark Angel (c)
Arena Coliseo, 12/10/07

Winner: Rudas
Match Time: 6:57
Approx Rating: Okay for the length
Other Match Notes: Marcela does the pre-match promo. She wants a shot at Hiroka. Everyone wants a shot at Hiroka. La Nazi wants a match with Lady Apache - she's not even in this match! This is backed with video of India Sioux because someone's got their native Mexicans confused.

1: Rosa Negra & India Sioux start on the mat against each other and work together well. It's not the fastest or most crisp work ever, but they get thru it fine. India gets in a springboard armdrag to end Rosa Negra out and the match to break.

We rejoin in mid-Marcela/La Nazi spots, all Marcela offense. She appears to be going a million miles an hour compared to La Nazi. Beatdown before Dark Angel can get anything. La Nazi squashes India with a running splash. Marcela takes a camel clutch/middle rope dropkick. Dark Angel gets a double suplex and a Nazi legdrop. India gets a missile dropkick. Nazi holds Marcela and Dark Angel for another, but they split and Rosa Negra gets her partner. I think India does a silla on La Nazi, but we miss most of it. Nazi quickly recovers to lay out India with a flapjack on the apron. Marcela takes out Rosa Negra with a plancha from the top rope. Inside, Dark Angel gets a bodyscissors cradle on Hiroka, but only two. Floataround into a small package could've gone better for Dark Angel, but the real problem is La Nazi turning over the pin. Hiroka holds on for three.

Hiroka says about two words on mic after the match, and La Nazi rants at the crowd.

Match 2: Olimpico (c), Kenzo Suzuki, Tarzan Boy vs Mistico (c), Hajime Ohara, Ultimo Dragon
Arena Coliseo, 12/10/07

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 12:51
Approx Rating: Okay
Other Match Notes:

Ohara's a tecnico here because - well, he's filling in for someone who's name I don't have at the moment. He's got his belt. One girl sees an opening to rush the aisle and hug Mistico, and she's not passing up the chance to get it. Once she does, three more follow, including a kid who slips and wipes out. Security is way too late, though I think one guy was cutting off other people from joining in. Mistico has his IWRG belt. Mima is with Kenzo, and they do a promo I completely miss. Olimpico and Tarzan enter seperately to the same tune.

1: Seems like we get a clipped start to the fall, as standard whenever there's not a sneak attack. Mistico & Olimpico start on the mat, which is an odd choice. Two minutes of build to the zero leg trips and Olimpico being freaked out by Mistico's ability to flip to his feet. Long stare at Ultimo's boots as Ohara and Tarzan start. They exchange holds on the mat for a bit, but the rudos get bored with Ohara having an advantage and run in to stomp him. Tarzan takes it back to the mat, in complete control leading got a grounded crucifix. Ohara rallies back to get a submission, and the rudos rush the ring again, this time for good. Beatdown. Kenzo kicks and stomps at Ultimo's right knee - is it hurt here? Olimpico press Mistico on the floor, and drops him face first on the apron. That looked very not fun. Olimpico did something to Monito, but we only hurt the announcers react to it, not see it. Kenzo wraps Ultimo's right knee around the post. Olimpico tosses Monito onto Mistico, then goes in to help double team Ohara. Double bulldog, Kenzo wacky strut kneedrop one two three. Mistico brought back in to lose to Olimpico. It seems a bit wasteful, but apparently Dragon's hurt on the outside. Doctor checks on his knee, and then the rudos do - the rudos use more stomping.

2: Beatdown continues. Mistico gets put thru the shredder first, which is mostly Kenzo watching the other two do the work. Ohara next, with Kenzo completely watching Olimpico and Tarzan do the usual Guerrero spots. He's completely lost and the rudos have given up on doing anything with him. Kenzo's hanging out with Tiger Hispano when the other two go way too high on a double clothesline for Ohara, allowing Mistico to come in with headscissors for everyone. Nice springboard plancha to the floor too, while the others wrap it up.

3: Way too much time left. I'm still scarred from that Rey/Kenzo match. Olimpico tries to kill a little bit of it by challenging Monito to a fight. Monito won't come in, so Kenzo spits at him Mistico takes offense to that - superkick, check. Mistico really don't have a good superkick, I wonder if he knows this. Crowd into Mistico. Okay, Ohara and Olimpico will start, just as soon as Olimpico gets done posing. This may be a while. Olimpico is too strong for Ohara to knock over with his shoulderblocks. Olimpico tells him to try one more time, and of course lays him out with a back elbow. Tarzan in to help, even though it's clear he's not needed. Maybe he just wants to get in free chops. Announcers are working on the right pronunciation for "Wha happen'd?" I have no idea why. Ohara comes back with the usual armdrag/headscissors, and Kenzo stops that with a big slaps. Kenzo holds Ohara, Guerreros charge with double boots, Ohara moves out of the way in plenty of time, Guerreros boot Kenzo anyway. Ohara dropkicks the Guerreros out and tries to figure out a pose. Still needs work. Mistico and Tarzan. Tarzan rather work with Monito, but Tarzan keeps shoving him out of the way to get to Monito. Ultimo is funny in disagreeing with this idea. Monito can't take no more and walks in the ring to get a piece of Tarzan. Mistico pulls him back by his fur, but Monito comes in again. Mistico's like "okay, whatever, I give up" and leaves his little pal in by himself. Tarzan picks up Monito, Monito fouls him, Tarzan falls to his knees, Monito slaps him and runs. Mistico in for him - sunset flip with Monito adding a legdrop. Tarzan can't believe this keeps happening, but Mistico gets him with an inside cradle when he turns to chase, and Monito adds a butt drop. Tarzan finally boots Monito, which means it's time for Mistico to go for a real. Flips for no reason, twisting headscissors. Olimpico in and annoyed with the Mistico chant. Clothesline misses, Mistico's fireman's carry escape armdrags, off the ropes, twisting headscissors, Olimpico out, Kenzo - no, Kenzo has no interest in coming in at this time. Tarzan and Kenzo have a great pantomime conversation, but they cut to a crowd shot during it. At any rate, Tarzan comes in and wants - Ultimo. Well, might as well try something else. We quickly find out Ultimo can't move - Tarzan just runs the ropes and shoulderblocks him a couple times, but Dragon doesn't take a bump either because I guess he's not sure he can get up. Ohara and Kenzo get involved and quickly get pins, that's strange.

Oh, wait, this must've been the match where the ref kinda lost track of things. He raises Ohara and Kenzo's arms to signal a draw, even though neither guy pinned is the captain. Maybe Ohara being a tecnico here is confusing, and he figured that was that? Ohara knows this is wrong, Kenzo figures out a second later. Ohara relents arguing to check on Dragon, and I think Tiger Hispano clears up what's going on as Dragon is slowly rolled out. Match resumes with Kenzo stomping down Mistico. I don't know where Olimpico went during that, but he's back now. Dragon being slowly helped to the back - he's on his feet, but he's limping which each step. Back in the match, Mistico does spots with Kenzo and Olimpico while Ohara tries to explain the rules of a lucha libre match to the referees. I think Mistico decides "okay, whatever, I give up" and gives Olimpico the Mistica just to end it definitely.

Mistico makes a challenge to face Tarzan Boy one on one - why? Ohara seems still confused by all this, but decides to wander off. It's Olimpico's who's sticking around to accept the challenge, while still selling his arm. Mistico calls him a girl, Olimpico demands the commission sign the match right now. The commission members just kinda sit there. The interviewer enters the ring, but Mistico kinda backs him away to continue the verbal debate. Oh no Olimpico said a bad word. Olimpico wants a mask/mask challenge. Drugs are bad, kids. Anyway, the match doesn't happen. I think they felt they had to do something more given how that one ended. Mistico talks to the interviewer, replays, sure a lot of time to fill here.

That's it.
