AAA Short Line - 07/29/06

Promo: Rey Cometa lists the Fuerza Aerea in the tradition of Perro Aguayo Jr., Juventued Guerrera, and Rey Misterio Jr. Well, they are really young.

Match 1: Martha Villalobos, Mascartia Sagrada 2000, Pimpinela Escarlata, Rey Cometa vs Kamoa Jr., La Diabolica, Mini Abismo Negro, Polvo de Estrellas
Plaza de Toros, Oaxaca, 03/19/06

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 5:53
Notes: This one's joined in progress. A minute, Martha "avoids" corner charges - like, she moves out of the corner, and then they charge. New levels of horrible. Kamoa Jr.'s got a pretty non-descript mask here (or it's not actually him?) From there, it's a mixed match, though they only work their natural rivals here. Mascarita and Mini Abismo are on, Cometa and Kaoma Jr. are good but don't get much time, Pimpinela's fine - the rest, gosh. Martha's not good, everyone knows this, but La Diabolica is horrible. So she gets the pin. Gosh, I don't want to ever see the match Diabolica is challenging for.

Interview: Psicosis talks about how firmly committed he is to the Vipers. A lot of planning they're doing here.

Match 2: Antifaz del Norte, Corazon de Barrio, Hator (?) vs Abismo Negro, Histeria, Psicosis II (c)
Plaza de Toros, Oaxaca, 03/19/06

Winner: Hator's team.
Match Time: 5:51
Notes: The Monterrey crew beast up Histeria. Psicosis comes out rushing during his entrance, and they ask him to lay off and not make the save. That's odd. He seems to actually go along with it, while Abismo Negro is attacked at the stage. Hator gives Abismo a Martiente! Irony. Psicosis again checks on his guys but doesn't fight back. Replay - Abismo's dead for sure. (Though probably not.) They going to blow a whistle here? There we go!

Abismo gets carted off, and Psicosis watches as Histeria gets killed for quite a while. The Monterrey guys set up for a triple dropkick, and Psicosis interrupts them to chair shot Histeria himself - SWERVE, they both chair shot the Monterrey guys. I'm supposed to be calling them Terror Regio, but this is supposed to not waste my time. Guess we all have work to do! 2 beats up 3 for a while, including a double tope. Antifaz gets in offense, but Psicosis beats him with a top rope senton. So, I guess Antifaz isn't the captain, because they fight on. Histeria gets the best of Hator, Psicosis sets up a Majistral on Corazon de Barrio, time stands still, Psicosis drops the arm because now the waiting is just silly, Antifaz finally comes in the ring to low blow him. Yea, they had 3 on 2 advantage and had to cheat to win.

Interview: Cibernetico - who proves he's better than La Parka Jr. See, his apostle Muerte Cibernetica is handing it to La Parka Jr., and he's better than Muerte, so he's much better than La Parka Jr. Cibernetico promises more turns to come.

Match 3: Chessman (c), Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz vs Alan Stone, Shocker (c), Scorpio Jr., Zumbido for the Mexican Atomicos Championship match
Plaza de Toros, Oaxaca, 03/19/06

  1. Guapos
  2. Dark Family
  3. Dark Family

Winner: Dark Family (2-1)
Match Time: 16:43
Other Match Notes:
Guapos all get separate entrances to make this much longer than it needs to be (but they do have matching gear, as does the opposition.) They spell Scorpio's name wrong, that's great. First fall is straight mat wrestling by everyone till they get to Shocker/Chessman. Champs rush the ring quickly into that exchange, but Guapos run them off and get a beat down segment going. Guapos are clearly meant to be the tecnicos and seem to get over that way, but there are people cheering for the Sect. Guapos beatdown resumes at the start of the second fall, laying out guys but not getting the pin. Chessman and Ozz both reverse whips into moves of their own to start the comeback - there's not a clear reaction. Scoria has a neat thru the ropes tornillo as part of the revenge run. 2nd fall finish is a combo hold we just see the end of (watching replays); Cuervo has Alan Stone up on a cristo, while also having his foot in position for an inverted death lock on Scorpio, who's also getting crossfaced by Ozz. They pick up a pin on Zumbido too - Atomicos matches are so inconsistent about if you need to pin all three non-captains or not. Third fall starts from even. We miss a near fall (Alan La Majistral on Scoria - broken up by the others) while noticing Charly Manson, Cibernetico, Espiritu, and Muerte Cibernetica walk out to the stage to watch. Manson seems to think they should interfere, but Cibernetico doesn't agree. Dive train starts about 3 minutes into the fall, don't see Zumbido do a no hands tope con giro much. Chessman does a toe rope moonsault to the floor because he's insane. Escoria and Shocker are the two left in the ring, and Shocker gets Escoria down and heads up. Escoria crotches him, and gives him a top rope 'rana off. 2 count. Shocker gets a near fall off a middle rope front suplex, but by then, everyone's ready to break up pins again. It did get the Sect members worried, and they moved down the aisle to be ready to interfere. Alan Stone takes Chessman out of the ring, and keeps him out with a tope, so we're back to Escoria and Shocker. Shocker loads up Escoria for a valaguesa, and Espiritu sprints to the ring - fouling Shocker as Pepe Casas goes out of his way not to see it. That's a three count. Good match, nWo finish.

All 12 men are in the ring after the match, and they're joined by Pena, Electroshock, Intocable, Psicosis, and Histeria. This seems incredibly familiar, and it should, because it's the Gran Tracion, as shown on last week's Noti AAA. So Electroshock was already teaming with rudos before becoming a rudo? Why show this a week early? It doesn't make sense to me.

Noti AAA
- Billy Boy's talks about being with Fabi Apache, and there's nothing Gran Apache can do about it. There was nothing to him hugging Estrellita - he was just happy for a friend, and he and Fabi are fine.
- Apache Laughlin's greatly - it's not Billy's son. Apache challenges Billy to a hair match
- Billy has no problem agreeing to fight Gran Apache
- Bello Greco wants to introduce us to his son - Super Calo. Lattes for everyone.
- Pena promises a grand surprise for La Sect
- Scorpio and Alan Stone run into JJ and Gerardo or whatever his name is. Please let Alan Stone finish his phone call! The rappers get all grabby, so the Guapos lay him out.

Interview: Zorro - what he does think about Electro going rudo? Zorro talks about having held his belt for three years, so they can do whatever they want.

Interview: Intocable is disappointed in Electroshock for turning rudo, it sounds like.

Match 4: Electro Shock vs Charly Manson vs Intocable vs Zorro in a bull terrier match.
Plaza de Toros, Oaxaca, 03/19/06

Winner: Intocable
Match Time: 11:55
Other Match Notes: They're showing these matches out of order, for no particular reason, and it actually hurts the story they want to tell - Electro hasn't rejoined the Vipers at this point in the evening, and we're supposed to think of him as as an angry tecnico who simply wants Zorro's belt and will work with whoever to get it. Intocable is tied to Electroshock, and Zorro is tied to Charly Manson. Well, in theory - Electro and Charly jump their opponents before Intocable actually gets his tied. Electro helpfully does it for him. As I was figuring, the chains eventually get tied around each other, but Hijo de Tirantes and the refs straighten it out pretty quick, and there's a lot of brawling on the outside to keep it from happening on a permanent basis. Everyone gets near wins, everyone gets stopped. It's almost all a brawl, working as a tornado tag match, and not very interesting to me. There's a hilariously delayed Zorro bump over the top rope, where he waits to fix his chain before going over. Zorro gets four (taking a non-traditional zig zag route; you gotta just with two chains in play, I guess), Charly cuts him off and puts on an inverted figured four, Zorro hits him with the cane, Intocable starts touching corners, and Zorro stops Electroshcok from stopping him with a spear. So they one guy not actually in this feud wins the match. Electro and Zorro fight more after the match.

Interview: La Parka Jr. calls Muerte a dummy.

Match 5: Cibernetico (c), Espiritu, Muerte Cibernetica vs La Parka Jr. (c), Luzbel, Octagon
Plaza de Toros, Oaxaca, 03/19/06

Winner: Tecnicos (rudos DQ for run in)
Match Time: 10:40
Other Match Notes: There are girls jumping out of the crowd to hug Cibernetico. Or they could've just been plants. This Luzbel is totally Gronda. He walks the same way. Octagon ahs the Tag Team title belt on him, and he gets kids jumping over the barricade. Parka, also with a tag team title, gets more - security finally tries to put a stop to that. La Parka Jr. complains about Muerte ripping off his look - irony! He mentions LA and Super as others doing the same by name, which is something. Rudos attack, and beatdown till about 3:30. Comeback is short lived before the one on ones start. The Luzbel/Cibernetico sequence goes forever. Even in fast forward. They build Muerte and Parka squaring off as a huge thing. Cibernetico yanks off Park's mask at 7:40, in full view, and somehow Hijo de Tirantes lets the match go on. Parka covers his face with his hair and topes Cibernetico. And the match goes on. Luzbel gets a bad looking half crab on Muerte, Octagon gets his submission on Escoria, so here comes the Sect. A bout five seconds behind of when they should be. Refs actually call the DQ! Of course, that means the point to not calling the DQ on the mask pull is because they felt they had to get the run in before the match ended (uh huh - and the hair in the face tope spot, I guess.) Even though Electroshocks' big turn was just about 30 minutes real time, he's no where to be seen. Intocable and Zorro scare off 8 men just by running to the ring.

Hype for next week. That's unusual.
