Welcome To The Show Vignette: a

Match 1: Masada, Okumura (c), Taguchi vs Metro, Tigre Blanco (c), Tigre Metalico
Arena Coliseo, 06/28/05

  1. tecnicos
  2. tecnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:09
Approx Rating: Below average, partially due to editing.
Other Match Notes: Straight from the dancing to a match nearly in-progress; we might not even get the opening whistle, just the graphics. As usual, this is listed as Japon vs Mexico

Tigre Metalico, wearing a blue outfit, starts off with Masada on the mat, and Metalico controls the action there, sending Masada out twice and slapping him the second time. On to the captains, both wearing white (well, duh, Blanco.) Armdrag battle, with Okumura actually getting the one that leads to the first break.  then miss a bit looking at the rudos, but turn back to see Blanco get a near fall on a bodyscissors rollup and Okumura nearly get one on a 'rana. They start chopping, but neither man gets an edge, and there's a long standoff, at least how these go. Metro and Taguchi, uh, good look Taguchi. Ryu probably should've brought more than one pair of tights to Mexico, but then Metro's doing the same deal. Metro has the skill to block a lot of strikes, and also a Rayo like "wacky walk in place" bit. What he doesn't have is a good dropkick, if that one is average. Tope on Taguchi, and the Tigres finish it. Jumping side belly suplex by Metalico on Masada (3:30) and Blanco gives Okumura a pumphandle backbreaker to take it. (3:34) Break.

We do hear the whistle to start the third fall. Metalico and Okumura start with chest slaps, Okumura tries to win with a kick, Metalico catches it, and Okumura slaps him. Metalico spins big on a Okumura shoulderblock. Metalico jump rolls over a kneelift (!) and lands a wheel kick to take control. Okumura drops down too soon and takes an elbow drop, then starts ill-advised running into moves - armdrags, dropkick, tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Okumura out. Masada in, and chopping Tigre Blanco. Headbutt. Ripping at Blanco's mask for whatever reason. Blanco gets in a headstand dropkick on a corner whip, and a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker of his own. Inverted atomic drop sends Masada down and grabbing his butt, which the crowd enjoys. Masada doesn't roll out right away, but we go into Metro/Taguchi anyway. Taguchi tries giving Metro a rope burn, and Okumura decides he rather organize a beatdown than let this sequence go any further. Tecnicos are quickly cleared, even faster when you consider Masada hangs outside the ring rather in in it. Taguchi seems not to have any better idea of what he's supposed to do here than "hit someone on the other team." Eventually, they get all the rudos together in the ring. Okumura gets Blanco a brainbuster, Taguchi adds a springboard dropkick, and Masada keeps him in the ring to pin. (3:57) Metro is brought in and Taguchi gives him rope burn yet again. They don't do much with him, just shoving Metro out. Metalico takes a corner clothesline, corner back elbow, and a springboard dropkick. Masada adds the walking fisherman's buster for the pin. (4:48) Tied up.

No break, no replays, just a stroll into fall three. Rudos still hold the ring, and Blanco is the first to get worked over. Okumura gives him a moonsault we don't see much of (and it might have been better that way.) Metalico comes into stick up for his tag team partner, but we look at a kid ion the crowd instead - and miss the comeback spot. Metro just had a weird looking dropkick. I don't know if it's wrong, but it looks that way. Metro and Okumura have a sequence, and then the other four come in for Los Tigres to clear the ring (including a springboard dropkick on Taguchi which doesn't look good) and hit stereo Asai Moonsaults. We don't get a split screen there, but I think it'd work a lot better on those particular dives better than topes. We're left with Metro and Okumura, and Okumura powerbombs Metro, one two feet on the rope now three (1:47) Okumura celebrates the win although Metro's not actually the captain. Nothing new. It'd be funny if Los Tigres were trying to explain this to the refs, but it's time to move on.

Match 2: Dark Angel, Amapola vs Lady Apache, Marcela
Arena Mexico, 07/01/05

Winner: Tecnicas (Lady Apache powerbomb Dark Angel, Marcela 'rana Amapola)
Match Time: 7:31
Approx Rating: good, but previous was better
Other Match Notes:
Though they showed the entrances in the bumper, they're clipped here. Lady Apache is wearing her National Women's Championship here. Amapola and Dark Angel are the best of friends - how sad how that turned out. Rowdy tecnico fans seem to have some harsh words for Dark Angel.

Angel and Apache start, once Apache is done signaling the crowd to cheer. Lockup, break. Lockup, Lady Apache has a waistlock and a big tattoo on her back. Dark Angel with a switch, snap mare, and a kinda half nelson backwards cradle for two. Zero  cover, armdrags, rolling Apache on her back for two. Another zero cover, and they're up, but Dark Angel quick gets a waistlock rollup and back bridge for two. Both up, and Dark Angel slaps Lady Apache in a face; I don't think that spot got as strong a reaction as they suspected. Clip here completely removes any Lady Apache mat wrestling or retaliation for that slap; we saw Dark Angel dominate her on the mat and humiliate her without any recourse. If everyone didn't already know Lady Apache was on the way out by the time they taped this show (and considering this is the week after the Elektro thing, they probably should've), they knew for sure after that editing.

Anyway, we pick up with Marcela rolling out of the ring and the rudas celebrating. Must've gone well. Lady Apache is in, and she's going to take a double team beatdown. Amapola with the drop toe hold, Dark Angel with a camel clutch, and Amapola gives her a dropkick to the face. We watch Lady Apache, in pain, roll out. Marcela back in, and it's her turn to fight the rudas. Corner running knee by Dark Angel looks a bit lame, but it's there to explain why Marcela ends up seated. Amapola follows with a unreal boot to Marcela's face. That must've been incredibly painful. Lady Apache back in to take a short powerbomb from Amapola and a elbow drop for Dark Angel. The rudas pose as Lady Apache is down. They pick her up for a double suplex, but Lady Apache reverses it to one of her own? Okay. Marcela back up with a double clothesline for the rudas. Lady Apache gives Amapola dropkick as she's rolling out. Marcela and Dark Angel do the sunset flip roll thru dropkick, with Marcela connecting. Marcela lifts Dark Angel up for Lady Apache to give a - off the top rope hairpull? I guess. A spike powerbomb if you're quite generous. Amapola back in, and she takes an assisted high spinning DDT from Marcela. Tecnicas hold the ring as both rudas are on the outside. Well, Dark Angel is on the apron and she could come in, but she doesn't want o while there are two people waiting for her. Lady Apache leaves, so Dark comes in, and knocks down Marcela with a back elbow. Headlock, shot off, back waved by, shoulderblock, and down goes Angel. Marcela off the ropes, backdropped to the apron, Marcela comes in with a slingshot armdrags. Dropkick sends Dark Angel out, but Amapola knocks her down before she can do more. Corner whip, reversed, Marcela charges in , but Amapola's moved out of the way seconds ago. That's fine, because it's actually a contrived set up to a Marcela coming off the second rope for a 'rana. Marcela works in a rope assisted spinning headscissors before Amapola is briefly able to stop her and knock her down. Corner whip, Amapola follows in close behind, Marcela ducks out of the way, and Amapola hits the post, spinning around on her way to the floor. Marcela does the dive tease and celebrates. Tags to Lady Apache and Dark Angel - amazingly, they don't go straight o an edit. But then Dark Angel gets in the early offense, so maybe that's why. Lady Apache comes back on both women, culminating with a running corner armdrags/headscissors combo. Lady Apache ducks a double clothesline, Marcela planchas them both, Lady Apache splashes them both, and Lady Apache and Amapola end up clearing out their opponents. Amapola ends up taking the hamstring bump thru the ropes, and Marcela climbs up and in to give her a plancha to the floor. Dark Angel comes back in, but is surprised by a Lady Apache missile dropkick. Fisherman's powerbomb on Dark Angel one two three. (7:25) Amapola back in, and Marcela gets a 'rana for three. (7:31) Crowd applauds. Amapola almost starts another fight, but that's it for now. Replays. Break.

Spectacular: Mistico's suicide tornillo armdrags on Averno

Vignettes: La Mascara (w/Atlantis video), Maximo (w/Negro Casas video), Apocalipsis (w/Damian 666 video) talk about the big Gran Alternativa tournament.

No hint of the battle royal; we start with the first quarterfinal already in the ring.

Match 3: Universo 2000, Dr. X vs Bronco, Hijo del Texano in a Gran Alternativa Quarterfinal
Arena Mexico, 07/01/05
Winner: Universo and Dr. X (3:23)
Other Match Notes:
You'd think they would've have time to screw around the match, but you'd be wrong. Bronco gets a chant, but I think I hear some booing. Universo and Texano start off and exchange armdrags, till Universo just shoves Texano down. Crowd shot, so we've clipped ahead. Both rudos are working over Bronco, but slips under a double clothesline and both he and his partner hit dropkicks to send them out. Bronco backdrops Texano into a pescado onto both men, and when they catch him, he adds his own pescado to knock the pile out. Referees are counting them out fast, someone ought to get them in. All four end up in, and while Texano keeps Universo down with stomps, Bronco gives Dr. X an over the shoulder backbreaker into a faceslam. One two NO? Huh. So on we go, with the rudos being whipped into each other, reversing the whips, but the tecnicos avoiding each other anyway. They try for simultaneous pins (Bronco suplexing Dr. X and Texano giving Universo a bodyscissors cradle) but the timing is off. Everyone kicks out. Bronco, who's being spotlighted here, goes from corner punching Dr. X to a moonsault bodyblock on Universo. Then, he just stands back as the other three take turns knocking each other down, and gets the last clothesline on Universo fro another two count. They try for simultaneous pins again, but this time the other way (Universo blocking a bodyscissors cradle and Dr. X doing his trademark hanging spinning DDT), but Universo's a bit ahead, so the referee counts three for one pin and three for another. Visually, Bronco takes a five count. (3:23

Match 4: Dr. Wagner Jr., Misterioso II vs Pierroth, Nitro in a Gran Alternativa Quarterfinal
Arena Mexico, 07/01/05
Winner: Dr. Wagner Jr. & Misterioso II (2:52)
Other Match Notes:
Nitro was introduced under that gimmick as a new member of the Boricua stable, but we skip entrances and don't know if they reference that here. They should, because it's great continuity to have them teaming here. We get a lot of crowd shots early, and seem to miss a Nitro/Wagner exchange, instead staring on Misterioso/Pierroth. Not the way I would've gone, but whatever. As you'd expect, it's a lot of Misterioso running around and Pierroth staying near the center of the ring. As you might not, it's a lot of Pierroth taking armdrags bumps, and then a tope from Misterioso. Nitro and Dr. Wagner mix it up with chest slaps, and then Wagner urn Nitro over with a shoulderblock. Nitro gets the next one to geo his way, and celebrates it with a bit of mocking. Chest slaps, corner whip, reversed, Wagner clotheslines him in and hair bulldogs him out. There's the dropkick to the head for good measure. POSE. Pierroth kicks Wagner out of the ring in mid pose, and moves out of the way of a Misterioso dropkick. La Nazi rather blatantly passes Pierroth the belt - the refs spot it, but since Pierroth throws it out after one use, I guess they're letting it go. That and they always lets go. Nazi celebrates. In the ring, Misterioso tries a bodyscissors on Pierroth, but Pierroth just throws him down. Pierroth tries a 'rana - but it's one of those 'rana attempts which only serves to set up a powerbomb. One two three. (2:42) Meanwhile, Nitro and Wagner are bouncing off the ropes and missing clotheslines. Wagner gives Nitro the stop sign, and Nitro stops right in front of him - so Wagner scoops him up and gives him the Wagner Driver! (2:52) There are things that only work for Dr. Wagner and that has to be one of them.

Match 5: Damian 666, Apocalipsis vs Atlantis, La Mascara in a Gran Alternativa Quarterfinal
Arena Mexico, 07/01/05
Winner: Atlantis & La Mascara (4:39)
Other Match Notes:
No entrance for Apocalipsis. Based on his size and who vanished around the same time, it's became quickly clear that this was Koreano given a masked gimmick. They'd alter the look slightly as time went by, but the mask right now looks like a Greek-ish mask with black cloth where the face opening should be. Que Monito is out with the tecnicos.

Mascara and Damián start, with Damian shoving down Mascara as he did pre-match, apparently. They have a zero cover exchange and a standoff, and we stare at other people. either that was a incredible short exchange, or there was  clip. Atlantis and Apocalipsis go briefly to the mat, with Atlantis hooking on a standing figure four variant, only for Apocalipsis to escape and try to put on a submission (no dice - he ends up getting an armdrags instead.) They have they're own zero count covers and standoff. Damián and La Mascara, this time La Mascara off the ropes, over, under, rolling over, ducking the clothesline, eating the boot. Damián briefly celebrates, but take a drop toe hold and a 619. (Groan.) Spinning headscissors, out goes Damian, La Mascara does the dive tease, and gets leveled by Apocalipsis. Atlantis comes in to dropkick him, but Apocalipsis side steps the second, whip, reverses, Apocalipsis off the ropes enough until he takes a monkey flip. Atlantis gives him one more. Apocalipsis side steps another dropkick, but ends up taking a backdrop all the way to the floor. Atlantis teases dive, but gets tripped and pulled out by Damián. Damián throws him into the post as the juniors fight in the ring. La Mascara gets grounded by a dropkick to the knee, and the rudos team up for a flapjack/dropkick to the head combo. Whip, double clothesline looks week but it connects. Atlantis is back on the apron, and the rudos stop to taunt. Followup double clothesline is weaker still and ducked, La Mascara tries to backflip over the next but lands on his knees, and then gets chopped back down as soon as he gets up. Atlantis comes in as La Mascara gets whipped his way, backdropping his partner to the apron. Apocalipsis and Damian are kicked away, La Mascara gives Apocalipsis a plancha, Damian adds a senton by accident, Atlantis rolls up Damián in a bodyscissors cradle for three (4:32) and La Mascara gives Apocalipsis Sliced Bread #2 to end the match (4:39) La Mascara sure loves SmackDown!

Match 6: Ultimo Guerrero, Sangre Azteca vs Negro Casas, Maximo in a Gran Alternativa Quarterfinal
Arena Mexico, 07/01/05
Winner: Ultimo Guerrero & Sangre Azteca (5:33)
Other Match Notes: Ultimo and Sangre are pumped to be teaming, and I'm happy for them. Negro and Maximo aren't quite as natural a team.

Teams can't settle on who should start, and by the time they decide, we clip ahead - why didn't they clip these ten seconds out too?

Negro catches Sangre in a Fujiwara armbar as soon as we pick up. Sangre won't give up, but he's in trouble. Negro lets up to apply a sort of elbow lock instead. Sangre tries kicks to Negro's back to get free, so Negro lets go and kicks him in the back. Maximo leads the crowd on to cheer for Negro as he and Sangre exchange chest slaps and chops. Sangre goes to the eyes to win. Kick, knees to the midsection. Negro off the ropes, big boot to Negro's face. Sangre yells at the crowd for yelling for Negro. Another big boot, but Negro always catches the second. Negro holds on, elbows the knee a few times, knocks Sangre over, turns him over, and snaps Sangre's left over his knee. Casas looks at the crowd as he pulls Sangre in a headlock. Off the ropes, shoulderblock. Negro ends up shoving Sangre out. Ultimo and Maximo in, and Ultimo does not find Maximo's silliness amusing in the least, as you might expect. Maximo off the ropes, over, and then beheaded by a clothesline. Ultimo yells at him to get up, but Maximo's slow up. Ultimo helps him up, and chops him back down. Whip, reversed, Ultimo goes over, under, Maximo rolls backwards, and Ultimo slaps his backside. Maximo does the funny walk sell, and asks Ultimo to do it again! Ultimo charges, and takes an armdrags an twisting headscissors before being sent out. Maximo does the dive tease pose, and gets kicked in the back and out by Sangre. That was along way to go. Sangre wants Negro, but Negro takes his time coming in, stoking the crowd into another chant. Negro quickly gets a wristlock. Into a headlock, shot off, Ultimo gets in a knee from outside, and Sangre adds a clothesline from behind. Whip, Sangre grabs Negro, hangs him off upside down to Negro, and goes to the missile rope - dropkick to Negro's backside? One two three! (5:19) What an odd finish. Meanwhile, Maximo was apparently trying to get in, but Ultimo spotted him and dropkicked him as he was climbing up the ropes. Maximo ends up in perfect position for the Guerrero Special, and that's that. (5:33) Ultimo and Sangre roll around on the mat hugging in celebration. Just a bit questionable.

Break.

Match 7: Universo 2000, Dr. X vs Dr. Wagner Jr., Misterioso II in a Gran Alternativa Semifinal
Arena Mexico, 07/01/05
Winner: Dr. Wagner & Misterioso II (4:42)
Other Match Notes: We catch up with this one at the tale end of entrances. DOCTOR VERSUS DOCTOR.

Rudos apparently jump the tecnicos while we're looking at the match up graphics. They're hitting clotheslines as we return. Beatdown going on while the annoying car alarm goes off - I HATE that alarm. It's your typical Capos brawl beatdown, with plenty of time to pose. They switch off partners and such for the duration. Universo dropkicks Wagner out, and it probably was quite helped by the camera angle. It's the double teaming which dooms the team; as soon as as Dr. X holds Misterioso for Universo kick, Misterioso moves, Dr. X gets the kick. Universo takes back control on comes corner whips for Misterioso, but Universo poses too much and misses his second charge. Misterioso rallies back with clotheslines. Whip, reversed, springboard armdrags sends Universo out. Universo ducks down to hide form a dive, so Misterioso gives him a swinging dropkick. Doctor vs Doctor! Dr. X takes a backdrop. Chops by Wagner. Whip, X with a springboard armdrags, off the ropes, spinning headscissors by X, but Wagner is up and knocking him down with a back elbow. Spine kick off the ropes, dropkick to the fringe of the mask. Wagner looks for a dive, but Universo cuts him off with a back elbow. Misterioso back in to take over with open hand slaps. Corner whip, reversed, Misterioso charges in and gets backdropped to the apron. Misterioso smashes Universo's head into the buckle a few times from there, and lands a plancha. Universo takes him back down with a charge elbow. Dr. X roots his partner on. Universo teases a  Black Hammer, but Wagner wastes no time in breaking that up. Dr. X comes in to take up for his partner, Wagner kicks him and lifts him up for a Wagner Driver, but Universo breaks that  up. Wagner turns to Universo, ands turns a clothesline into the grounded octopus. Meanwhile, Misterioso grabs Dr. X - Gory Special. One two three. (4:42) Crowd approves.

Match 8: Ultimo Guerrero, Sangre Azteca vs Atlantis, La Mascara in a Gran Alternativa Semifinal
Arena Mexico, 07/01/05
Winner: Atlantis & La Mascara (1:33)
Other Match Notes: Already in progress as we join it, with the rudos having cleared the ring. Atlantis comes back in, but Ultimo quickly stops him. A corner whip goes bad, and the tecnicos comeback. Mascara works in an enziguri on Sangre, and Atlantis gets hiss rolling monkey flip to send Atlantis out as La Mascara uses a rolling dropkick on Sangre. STEREO TOPES. La Mascara's mask is ripped up good here, with half his face showing and he's grabbing his face as he gets back to his feet. I wonder how that happened? Everyone slow in and might not miss the count. Sangre takes time to make sure a front row women, near the impact zone, is okay - I think that's what he's doing, anyway. Ultimo and Atlantis start it out in the ring, but all four end up in. Finishes happen right away - La Mascara gets a rocking horse on Ultimo while Atlantis gets a nudo on Sangre, and that's that. (1:33) And now we have an interesting final. La Mascara may be bleeding from the nose.

We get the first replays of the night, showing the stereo tope in high tech. Break.

Match 9: Dr. Wagner Jr., Misterioso II vs Atlantis, La Mascara in the Gran Alternativa Final
Arena Mexico, 07/01/05
Winner: a
Match Time: a
Approx Rating: a
Other Match Notes:
No entrances here, but Mascara had time to get a new mask

He and Wagner start, with Wagner in control. Crowd chanting for Wagner. Whip, Mascara tries to reverse into a drop toe hold, but it's botched. Wagner just keeps running and knocks him down with a shoulderblock. Trying it again, and this time it's better. Off the ropes, cartwheel over, and Wagner beheads him with a clothesline. Slight boos. Whip, Mascara back with a bodyscissors armdrags. Crowd not audibly picking a side. Mascara charges Wagner, takes the backdrop to the apron, gets in a shoulder, and goes up top for a missile dropkick. Wagner back up quick, but giving Mascara some nods of respect. Misterioso tags himself in, and Atlantis is in for opposition. Misterioso is trying his best to look distressed by Atlantis chants, but because they're actually non-existent, it's a tough sell. Both off the ropes, Misterioso over, and Atlantis knocks him down with a plancha on the next pass. Misterioso up and back elbowing Atlantis in the corner. Misterioso is working this as a rudo, for one. Corner whip, pose to celebrate, Atlantis has pout on the breaks and Misterioso charges into a toss into the buckle. Monkey lip, Misterioso lands on his feet and pulls off the tilt-a-whirl armdrags. Dropkick is sidestepped by Atlantis, Atlantis dropkicks is not side stepped, Atlantis gets running for a dive - and Wagner cuts him off. Standoff, with both men looking at the crowd and each other. Atlantis wants it now, but Wagner wants to go to the corner and pose. Crowd is chanting louder for WAG NER. They keep doing the dueling corner pose bit, and the crowd ends up turning on Atlantis! Wagner eventually kicks Atlantis down from behind, like the rudo is supposed to do to the tecnicos. Chops. Wagner talking trash and choking Atlantis with his knee. Corner whip, Atlantis kips up and out, and Wagner runs into an armdrags. Atlantis escapes a tilt-a-whirl with n armdrags, and pulls of his own tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. One more, for good measure. Atlantis celebrates, and the crowd reaction is mixed. Wagner trips him up and goes after Atlantis mask to another loud mixed reaction. Atlantis turns the table and rips up Wagner's mask, and the crowd seems more unhappy. Misterioso comes in to yell at Atlantis for ripping up Wagner's mask, and La Mascara comes in to try and calm down Misterioso. No dice, Misterioso just turns and chest slaps Mascara. Snap mare, and Misterioso rips up Mascara mask mask! Of course Mascara immediately tries to return the favor, but Misterioso's mask won't rip too well, and he has to hold on to keep it from being pulled off. Both men get to their feet, and Misterioso is angry at the world. Chest slaps, Misterioso selling Mascara's bigger. Misterioso sidesteps the rolling back elbow, cover one two no. Mascara with a bodyscissors cradle one two NO. Both men up, Mascara charges, and Misterioso swings him up into the Gory stretch. Before he can hit the neckbreaker, Mascara slides down the back for a sunset flip one two NO. Misterioso charges, Mascara with a better drop toe hold this time. He sets up for a figure four variant, but Misterioso pulls him into an ugly small package, one two no. I don't know if his shoulders were down, but Misterioso was covering them so Baby Richard couldn't see them again. Mascara bodyscissors cradle, rolling thru to the Rocking Horse, and that's it. (5:52) As soon as Mascara locked that on, Wagner and Atlantis ran in, Wagner running directly into the Atlántida. That's it. (5:54) La Mascara and Atlantis win the tournament. We watch replays over Atlantis and Wagner talking. Announcers talk over them too.

Match 10: Hector Garza (c), Tarzan Boy, Rey Bucanero vs LA Park, Mistico, Lizmark Jr.
Arena Mexico, 07/01/05

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. rudos

Winner: Rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 17:42
Approx Rating: Okay, but fell apart for the finish.
Other Match Notes:
No entrances here either; the rudos are already beating down the tecnicos as we join.

We're already into the 1 on 3 by the time the graphics are done. Rey and Tarzan are just wearing shorts, which is an odd look for them. They do the usual set up for the Bucanero Castigo, but Tarzan does a legdrop on Park instead. Lizmark gets corner clotheslines, and Rey pulls him off the middle rope for a Diamond cutter. Interesting double elbow drop/dropkick to the head combo. They pin Lizmark with one hand to get rid of him. (1:18) Lots of kids chanting for Mistico - it's a different sound then the Wagner chant. Pirate Bomb on Mistico, and that's that. (1:41) Park comes in, but mostly just to check if Mistico's still conscious. Rudos end up beating them out of the ring. Replays, break.

Rudos keep control to start fall two. It's spread out to 3 on 3 brawling, inside and outside the ring. Mistico gets posted by Garza.. Rye goes after Park's mask for a bit. Garza throws Mistico around ringside until he's distracted by a ring. Park's draped over the top rope so Rey can boost Tarzan into a double axhandle on him, but Park moves out of the way and that's the comeback. Superkick. SUPERKICK. What a combo these guys are. Crowd behind Mistico again. Rey takes a leisurely stroll into the post, which is hilarious. Brawling around ringside, with Mistico getting in his revenge on Garza. Things settle down to Garza and Park. Garza teases the slap battle and then kicks Park. Crowd gets on him. Corner whip, Park kips up and out, Garza charges out into a Park armdrag. Park and Garza have a counter/block exchange which ends with Garza doing the best superkick so far, by far. Corner whip for Park, and Rey clotheslines him from outside. Garza tries again, but the tecnicos cut off the other rudos from interfering and Garza gets beat up. Mistico hits a nice flipping dropkick on Garza, and Lizmark connects on superkick #4. Out of nowhere, Mistico decides to tope Tarzan on the outside (and nearly doesn't make it). Park hits a tope on Rey, and Lizmark gets Hector in a straight jacket camel clutch for the fall. (5:41) Break.

Rudos tease walking out, but I think they're not going. Rey protects Hector from the mean chant. Tarzan poses for Mistico's benefit, and then Mistico's off. Usual rope run, then Mistico blocks Tarzan strikes for a crooner running spinning armdrags. Before he can dive, Garza takes him out with a dropkick, and then taunts the corner. Whip, Mistico goes under, and spins around into armdrags. Mistico in, and he gives Mistico a flapjack cutter. Whip again, Mistico lands on his feet form the flapjacks, dropkicks Rey in the ropes, and Rey ducks the 619! Forearm stops Mistico, but when he turns to taunt on the ramp, he turns back into a 619 to midsection. Springboard tornillo armdrags on the ramp! Mistico celebrates and he probably should. Lizmark and Garza in. Crowd even chanting for Lizmark - they've got a lot more left in them than you'd think for this point of the night. Garza teases a handshake and kicks Lizmark in the back of the leg. Whip, reversed, Garza rolls under the leapfrog and pops up to clothesline him. Park wants in to help out, but he's warned back to his corner. No problem, since Lizmark is just going to spinaroonie up anyway. SUPERKICK 5. Rey in, Rey catches a spinning heel kick but gets kicked off to the floor in a very telegraphed manner. Lizmark pretends to tease a dive, but no one buys it. Tarzan in, and posing on the buckle before Park hits him from behind. Park and Rey end up trying to work over Park, but Park makes them look like bumping fools, throwing everyone around. Lots of belly to belly suplex. Garza comes in and takes one too, and all three rudos end up outside. Park pescados them all, they all catch him and toss him off, but Park still manages to armdrags Tarzan. Park taunts the rudos and struts away. Hector and Lizmark in, with Hector missing a corner charges, and Lizmark not rally having a good idea what's next. Lizmark gets backdropped to his corner, and for a moment seems unaware he's still supposed to fight. Hector ends up getting corner punches but shoved off by Lizmark. Rey takes his place on the corner while Mistico comes in and gives Garza a 'rana. Mistico dropkicks Rey to the floor, so I guess it's dive time - Mistico's slingshot tope con giro doesn't look great but at least no one dies. Lizmark pancakes Garza with a plancha., and seems to be hurt. Park and Tarzan are back in, and Tarzan sidesteps a dropkick, causing Park go bounce off the rope and go flying. They twice try to a do a spot where Tarzan chops Park so hard, Park flips, but also kicks Tarzan in the head in the process. It doesn't come off well - the second time, Tarzan whiffs on the chop and Park whiffs on the kick, and that's time to give it up. They recover with zero covers of shoulderblocks, and Park sorta hits a enziguri. Park tries a bodyscissors cradle near the ropes, Tarzan sits down to block it, Garza tries to get Tarzan's feet on the ropes but Park's shoulders come in the process. It doesn't look good either, but it does get this over. (10:20) Break.

Next week: Dr. Wagner, LA Park, Atlantis, Tarzan Boy, Hector Garza, Dos Caras Jr., Universo 2000, Pierroth, Mascara Año 2000, Bronco, and much more.

Replays, and we're out.
