Negro Casas & Texano in NJPW

Negro Casas and Texano Jr. are in NJPW. Yes, that’s what happened to them.

I haven’t been much interesting in this excursion, becuase it’s such a random meaningless pairing; these two haven’t teamed in CMLL, and won’t be when they come back. I’m not expecting to win title or achieve some higher rank or leap ahead in progress; they’re just gone for a couple weeks. I think I ought to care, because Negro’s still good and Texano’s got the connections were you know he’ll be an important part of CMLL (or AAA) in years to come, but I can’t get too worked up over a nothing happening tour.

Fittingly, the tour I can’t get worked up about is the one where the lucha guys are actually getting wins. NJPW’s setting up a tour ending IWRG Junior Heavyweight Tag Title match, Negro and Texano challenging Jado and Gedo. This is the same championship Felino & Negro challenged for last year. The lucha team’s gotten some wins to build towards the match, and Jado & Gedo have insisted on contesting the title match under lucha libre rules to leave no doubt about their (sure thing) victory.
