We're welcomed to the show by one of the Coliseo announcers, and then Rayo de Jalisco challenging Canek to a mask match yet again.

Open.

Match 1: Arkangel (c), Loco Max, Hooligan vs Texano Jr., Virus (c), Stuka Jr.
Arena Mexico, 12/02/05

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:43
Approx Rating: Fun. 85.
Other Match Notes: Stuka Jr. is listed as just Stuka. We get all their entrances. Everyone's got a video, even Stuka, and they're all modified for this show. Virus is wearing his half mask. Loco Max has the usual S&M mask, and his valet really enjoys hitting him with the whip, like it's the most fun thing she's done all month. Arkangel, entering to Welcome to the Jungle, has a skull on a stick. People are still getting to their seats.

First fall starts while we're still looking at the valets, but that's okay. That one may have more fabric in her hat than she's otherwise wearing. Texano and Hooligan start it off on the ground. There's plenty of seats up close empty right now, and the arena is too dark to see past the third row. Hooligan is better on the wrestling, but Texano is better on the flip escaping. Hooligan uses a hammerlock takedown I don't think I've seen like that before, and they exchange one counts on grounded crucifix rollups. Shoves, and tags. Loco and Virus. Virus is please, because he's actually facing someone smaller than him. Loco Max is a small, yet dangerous, man. Lockup, backing away from each other, lockup, battling for control, Virus gets a waistlock. Loco slips free and gets a one leg takedown, then a front facelock, then Virus slips free for an armbar, then Loco reveres, than Virus flips to the mat and trips up Loco, and they're quite fast. Standoff, Loco charges, Virus armdrags him. Lockup, Virus flips him over his hip, Loco lands on his feet and armdrags Virus. Zero leg trip for Virus, Loco's clothesline is blocked and he's hiptossed to the mat. Virus tries to do it again, but Loco blocks, spins Virus around, tries a punch and gets armdragged. Standoff. Loco got hurt somewhere in here, so he's happy to tag out. Stuka and Arkangel now. Circle. Lockup, break, lockup, break, any time now. Arkangel gets his (real) head together. Lockup, Stuka gets pun around but still manages an armdrag. Lockup, Ark with a waistlock, then a single leg. Off the ropes, over, stopped short to snap mare, but Stuka lands on his feet, poses, and rolls backwards into a headscissors on Ark, but Ark blocks it and throws him down. Ark pulls Stuka up in an armbar, then turn it into a pumphandle, going for the slam, but Stuka lands on his feet and armdrags Ark. Ark up and tripping Stuka down. On top of him, but Ark is held up by Stuka's feet one two no Stuka pushes Ark up and Stuka uses the momentum to land on Ark's shoulders- and down the back for a sunset flip one two NO. Ark checks that it was two and shoves down Stuka, who immediately kips up and dropkicks Ark down. Ark doesn't want any more of this. Texano and Hooligan. Hooligan with a chest slap, headlock, shot off, back with a shoulderbreaker. Hooligan off the ropes, under, hiptoss blocked, hiptoss blocked the other way, and Texano lands a clothesline to stop it. Corner whip, reversed, and Hooligan charges into a Texano superkick. Texano goes the middle rope, but Hooligan sidesteps the missile dropkick. Hooligan spots his partners coming in, and cleans the tecnicos off the apron so they won't be able to help. Ark with a top rope splash, one two three. (5:46) Stuka tries to fight back, but gets overwhelmed. Hooligan is sitting on the top rope, and the other two load Stuka up to the middle one for him - second rope release front suplex, triple dropkick to the head! Well, he's dead. One two three. (6:09) Break.

Promo: Holy carp, Amapola is getting mic time! There's the belt. She's having a contest with Heavy Metal; Metal as a big head start but she's making the effort. She wishes us a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and thinks we should watch the best wrestling in the world on CAN52. Will do.

Second fall starts with the rudos going after the tecnicos anew, taking the two lesser members out of the ring and focusing on team captain Virus. Double boot for him, make a wish. Arkangel pulls out a rolling corner back elbow for the occasion. Loco is holding down Texano for some reason, so the other two work on Stuka instead, but he's only in for one clothesline. You know, if they show the crowd doing the same exact thing twice, one of those times, it's probably not live. This is that time. We clip ahead to Texano Jr. being held in a tapatia by Arkangel, and the other two add running bulldogs. That's what the cowboy does, you're not supposed to do that to the cowboy. Stuka is back in again, and they're talking too long about it. , but Loco still manages to hit a flapjack. The rudos are all wearing mostly black with some silver and a little of other colors, so Stuka looks like he's some Technicolor hero battling ruffians stuck in black and white. Double dropkick for him, and Loco kicks him out. Loco goes out after him for whatever reason, but that's what he's Loco. That's a critical problem for the rudos, because Virus gets on the apron and is able to battle Hooligan and Arkangel by himself for a stretch, sending Ark to the floor with an armdrag, but missing on a baseball slide. Ark slid back in, and then wiped Virus out of with a tope! Everyone else hits the ring and chaos breaks out: Texano takes a backdrop, but moves before Loco can splash him, and Hooligan misses a corner charge on Stuka. Finisher time: Texano uses a fireman's carry into a head crusher on Loco, while Stuka seems to be setting up for something else and then hits something that's probably a DDT with intentions of being an STO but possibly should just be reconsidered. Dual pins, or close enough. (2:03, 2:05). Texano brings in the captain so he can celebrate. Nice job getting killed, Cap. Replays - see, I'm thinking if you have the head behind the neck, it's a DDT, and that's what he did there. I dunno.

No break, straight to third fall. Stuka surprises Arkangel with a pointless handspring and a flip. Arkangel clotheslines him for being dumb. Stuka fights back with a chest slap and is quite happy with it, till Ark hits him one back. Whip, reversed, Ark flip over and flapjacks Stuka. Off the ropes, waved by, Ark jumps into a hiptoss. Stuka off the ropes, waved by, Asai Moonsault over Ark's clothesline (huh), ducking the clothesline the next pass thru, and since Texano came in for no reason, a double elbow. Whip, double backdrop. Texano holds Ark for Stuka to hit a running clothesline, and - well, yea, you know. Stuka rallies back for a satellites headscissors submission, but Loc breaks it up with a dropkick. Ark and Stuka roll out, and Texano takes the tecnico place in the ring, missing a dropkick. Loco gets him with a clothesline, but Texano is too big. Loco again, and Texano won't go. He just brushes himself off. They talk trash., and Loco tells Texano to try it. Texano off the ropes, ducks the clothesline, and knocks Loc out of the ring with a shoulderblock. Hooligan dropkicks Texano out before he can even think of diving. Virus in, Virus knocked down. Hooligan off the ropes, backdropped. Chop. Corner whip, reversed, Virus gets his boots up on the charge and pulls of a second rope 'rana, followed by an armdrag. Hooligan finally gets a chest slap in, but charges at Virus and ends up throwing himself to the floor. Virus doesn't get a chance to think to dive either, as Ark is on him and they're exchanging chops and kicks. Ark gets the better of it, knocking him out of the ring, until Virus pulls off that ringpost armdrag of his. Arkangel backs away - and right in the path of Texano's slingshot tope con giro. Loco Max gets Texano one of his own. Anyone else? Stuka is thinking about it, but just handstands over the ropes and to the apron. Oh, I see - top rope moonsault to the floor! Who's left? Hooligan and Virus. Hooligan gets in a clothesline and a two count. Corner whip, Hooligan with a clothesline, and he sets up Virus on the top rope. Virus fights back, and they both end up going off the middle rope, Virus seems to get the better of it. Cover, Ark tries to break it up with a senton and (sorta) gets Hooligan (who rolled to avoid it) instead. Virus off the ropes, back to ark, spinning armdrag into a small package one two three! (3:29) Tecnicos take it. Ark is down and hurting for some reason, and the Doctor checks on him. We watch a replay of the dives in the meantime.

Promo: Negro Casas says hi to all his brothers. Okay. Network plug, check.

Match 2: Canek (c), Ultimo Guerrero, Olimpico vs Rayo de Jalisco Jr. (c), Negro Casas, Heavy Metal
Arena Coliseo, 12/04/05

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 14:44
Approx Rating: Usual, though Ultimo and Negro looked real good
Other Match Notes: Separate entrances for everyone, even though they don't even restart the music between Ultimo and Olimpico's music. This is the first time I've seen Rayo in a while - he hasn't been on TV quite a lot. Canek tries to keep him there, knocking him to the floor with a kick just as Rayo was stepping thru the ropes. I was just thinking about how it's odd to go this long without a rudo pre-match attack. Negro has a denim jacket with a tiger on the back. I do not know. IWRG Title belt, CHECK. I think Heavy just left AAA because he figured out he could wear a belt more often if he went indy.

Ultimo is wearing black and silver/white. Olimpico's matching. Negro is wearing long pants, where are black/silver. Metal is matching. Rayo, you know. What happened to my color? Thank God for Canek. Ultimo vs Negro to start, as soon as Ultimo gets done annoying Heavy. Extra good chain wrestling to start- Ultimo gets a waistlock bridged pin on Negro and I'm still not sure how he did it. Nothing is settled, and they tag to Heavy Metal and Canek - well, no, because Rayo wants Canek, Canek doesn't want Rayo, and we somehow end up with Olimpico vs Metal. They're not as cool on the mat, but okay. Olimpico tries a rocking horse at one point, but he can't get Heavy off the mat. Heavy grabs a legbar, and Rayo and Canek have a slight incident. Rayo goes back to his corner, and Heavy tags him in. Canek too. Bet this won't be as neat, but the fans are way into this matchup. Rayo doesn't come close within six inches of Canek on a dropkick, but I think Canek might have bailed on him a moment early. Rayo goes for the mask, and the ring feels with rudos. Beatdown is on. Canek rips Rayo's mask while the other two previous established matches go on. Ultimo gets the stretch muffler on Negro and Negro holds on for a while before giving. (6:32). Can't blame him.  After exposing the top of Rayo's head, Canek goes for submissions while the other four do the neat stuff - Olimpico gets a double step over armbar to stop Heavy Metal. (7:02) Helpfully, Ultimo and Olimpico put armbars on Rayo while Canek celebrates.

Break.

Promo: Ultimo Guerrero, in an a crazy airbrushed shirt, tells us to keep watching the show. WILL DO.

We come back just in time for the second fall, with the beatdown still going on. The Casas brothers are getting worked over in the ring, with Canek and Rayo having disappeared for the first minute. Canek wanders back to the ring just in time for the tides to turn against him - Heavy catches Negro on a double whip -  and Rayo reappears to clear the ring of GdA members with a mighty double clothesline. Rayo rips at Canek's mask in the ring while the Casas brothers get their revenge on the outside. Heavy clears a whole section just so he can smash Ultimo's face into the mat. Randomly, as the Canek/Rayo stuff goes on in the ring, Ultimo rolls in, staggers about, slumps in a corner, realizes where he's is, and rolls out of the ring. He was just passing thru, I reckon. Meanwhile, Canek's fighting back with chest slaps of his own, but Negro roots the crowd out for Rayo, and Rayo turns it back with an ugly looking "jumping" reverse tope, followed by a clothesline which both men do quite the interesting job on. They battle to the floor, and up the ramp. The other four decide to restart the match, and all four quickly end up in the ring. Negro gets the Majistral on Ultimo (2:36) while Metal takes a bit longer getting a Sharpshooter on Olimpico (2:41) Heavy won't actually let go, far past the five count they threatened to DQ him on. Huh. After, they want to raise the tecnicos hands, but Negro has everyone clear a path so he can get in the Corner Dropkick To The Face on Ultimo (that's what he was doing in the corner before, I bet) - that's a pretty usually bad case of trying to get all your spots Negro. Negro asks if he should do one more, but the crowd isn't with him strong enough. Replays show Heavy Metal had absolutely no idea what he was going to do for a finisher and that was the hold up on putting it on. No idea why he took so long holding it on.

Break.

Next Week: Dos Caras Jr., Black Warrior, Pierroth, Mascara 2000, Ultimo Dragon and much more.

Again, we join right at the bell. Negro and Último start off and go after each other with chest slaps. Ultimo wins, but can't knocked down Negro with a shoulderblock and clotheslines. Negro ducks a third, and lands the dropkick to the knee. That ends that for the time being. Heavy and Olimpico have a pose off. Olimpico is jacked. Olimpico goes to the chest, Metal kicks out his legs. Off the ropes shenanigans all go Heavy's way, even when he almost brains himself on a diving clothesline. Between the ropes dropkick knocks Olimpico down on the floor, but Metal goes for no more. Back to Rayo and Canek. Three people chant Rayo, but the noise level is up. Canek slams Rayo! This does not get the win, touch Canek is SURE it should. Rayo slams Canek, and adds a legdrop! This does not get the win either. What's it going to take? Canek gets in his corner mule kick, and an elbow drop, but Rayo puts his foot on the ropes. The rudos push it off, but Rayo keeps getting it back at two. Rayo eventually lands the reverse tope, and one legged dropkick to knock Canek out - TOPE! It didn't make the crowd, but Canek fell right in front of a woman, kicking her in the hand and so she spilled her drink all over him! The other four are in for a moment before the Casas brother hit signature dives - tope con giro for Metal, running Thesz Press by Negro. Everyone's getting counted out, but Rayo's up and crawling in. So is Canek? Didn't see where he came from. Rayo 'runs' into backdrop, and Canek adds an elbow drop one two no. On the next pass, Rayo gets the backdrop and the legdrop, but that's still two. Rayo gets the corner reverse tope, one two NO. Canek blatantly low blow kicks him, and that's that. (DQ 5:01) Canek tried covering him, but no one bought it - clear view of everyone, including the referees. Post match, Canek talks trash, wanting Rayo's mask and title and Rayo challenges Canek to a one on one match, to prove Canek deserves a shot.

That's it.
