AAA Mini Line - 11/05/05 (#179 - maybe!)

Match 1: Charly Manson vs Electroshock in a career vs career match
Naucalpan, Mexico, 06/20/04

Winner: Charly Manson
Match Time: 3:24
Notes: Full entrances for this match. Electro has got the full Sub Zero look going. One fall match, four corner ring. No seconds. Tirantes is your ref.

Either there's a clip to start, or Charly Manson is sucking wind six seconds into the match. Kinda odd. We keep getting camera shots of the large crowd, and seemingly skip ahead, because they're both visibly more tired each time we come back, and it's only been a minute. (The mat has more garbage on it as well.) Charly has a nice Asai moonsault. Cibernetico is first back in, and celebrates, but Charly's in behind him, victory roll, Electro rolls on top, one two, other way one two no. Very annoying slow count. Chop battle ends with Charly going low. Charly Manson and Electroshock's Mom (they're brothers) is allowed to jump the rail so she can protest the whole concept of the match, I guess. I guess that's another brother with him? Mother is overacting to the max. Of course, this all leads to Tirantes and Electro getting distracted, and Charly Manson getting a low blow kick for real. Ref slow back into cover, but that's three. (3:24) Wow, what a lame way to go.

Of course, that's not what's going to happen. Mom and brother check on a bloody Charly (we didn't see how that happened) and seem more concerned with him than Electroshock, for whatever it's worth. We clip ahead to Lady Apache checking on Electroshock, now alone in the ring. Charly Manson is back in and explaining to Lady Apache that he won, and Electro's history. She doesn't want to hear it. Apache begs him to reconsider. Charly isn't going for it, but he's at least thinking about it. Electro's just waving goodbye to everyone. Lady and Charly repeat this exchange on mic and it's agreed that Charly will trade Electroshock's career for Lady Apache's hair. She gets shaved right then and there. Crowd BOOOS, despite the announcers urging the crowd to cheer for Lady Apache. (As I recall, the crowd wasn't particularly happy with the retirement stip being skipped.) Electro takes the razor and shaves his head too, which at least gets a small pop. The post match was much much longer than the match.

Match 2: Cibernetico vs La Parka II in a mask vs mask match
Naucalpan, Mexico, 06/20/04

Winner: La Park
Match Time: 12:44
Notes: Again, entrances, though we probably won't get all the match. Cibernetico is preceded by a half dozen people out on motorcycles.  Cibernetico rides out to the stage on one, accompanied by the AAA ref and Chessman as a cornerman. (Someone else takes the bike.) Cibernetico attacks Park as he gets to the ring, and they're off. Ring is covered in smoke from the bikes and fireworks. Televisa Deportes is Parka's cornerman. They take forever getting to the bell - they have wait till the bikes are away, even though Cibernetico's long since taken it into the ring.

Parka takes out Chessman on a(n eh) Asai Moonsault early on, but Cibernetico shatters something over his head to a non-DQ. Parka sells it like he's dead, not moving for a minute, and not moving when he's brought back in the ring, and bleeding from the forehead. Cibernetico rips at his mask - what's the point at that? Win the match, you can take the thing off, why bother now. Park's top is ripped (or maybe unzipped) as well, and he's bleeding from the chest. Long stretch of Cibernetico beating him down with kicks, punches, and weapons - he takes the flowers off the announcer desk and uses them. Break with no warning (4:56)

Beatdown continues after break. Cibernetico eventually decides to start working the leg, with the least scary looking ankle lock in history. The leg work is just a setup to Parka's tide turning enziguri, so he can go on offense for a moment, with the same stuff. When eh goes for the mask, we get run-ins: Histeria, Mini Psicosis, and Mini Histeria. TD tries to make the save, but the numbers are against him. Parka gets beat for about a minute before - oh, no, it's just Mr. Aguila and Juvi, out to beat up TD. I was expecting a save. They double suplex TD on the ramp to take him out. Cibernetico's brought a steel briefcase into the ring, though it might be thrown out by the next time we see him. Parka's out of the ring at that point, but the run-in rudos thrown him back in for more beating. Ah, he's got a chair now. Aguila and Juvi take TD into to the back, and beat him up there - we keep watching for no particular reason, because that's not really the mask match. Looks like a motorcycle driver helps out with stomps. Chessman is in the ring and arguing with the ref about being in the ring, but like he's getting DQed. TD is thrown into an ambulance, and I think we see Abismo Negro and Tiffany waiting inside to pound him more, but Juvi and Aguila close the doors before we can get a good look. Not that it matters. All the other rudos are in the ring. Backstage, Vatos Locos have suddenly appeared with torches on fire, and Pena is with them with a big cookie sheet. They walk past the motorcyclists, and even though they're not doing anything but sitting on their bikes, Pena swats one in the head with his cookie sheet. (He was covering up, waiting for it.) Pena gotta be Pena. The ambulance drives off, and Pena rides in back on a bike (driven by who knows) chasing after it! Great comedy, because the driver almost runs into a wall, and then people. We watch the ambulance slowly drive away (all in the range of cameras) while Pena heroically speeds in front of it and stops it, assaults the driver, beats him down, opens the back, fights off Tiffany, ducks a Abismo Negro fire can shot (Tiffany takes it) and nearly getting killed as Picudo shows up to blow fire in Abismo Negro's face and Pena's too close. Man, that ambulance got a far away if a Picudo could walk and catch up. Televisa Deportes is rescued, and Pena urges the motorcycle driver to take TD the twenty feet back to the stadium. He does, driving him all the way past the other bikes and thru a screen which had been put up for no reason besides them running thru it. TD fights off Histeria, pushing him off the stage and somersault sentoning on him (getting some people who had no idea what was going to happen. Psicosis II gets shoved down in to the same area so Octagon can do a plancha on to him. Groon and the Vatos Locos are all waiting on stage for more rudos so they can do the same thing. Meanwhile, TD has somehow made it to the ring, and monkey flips Chessman out so he can tope con giro on him. This all something. Cibernetico and Parka decided to have a match during this, Ciber getting a near fall on a Northern Lights Suplex. Cibernetico has not taken off his vest this whole match. Vatos Locos are scaring the Vipers away with fire, and Cibernetico and Parka are stalling until they get done. Parka gets a crucifix into a small package for the pin. One two three. Crowd pops big. (7:48) All the tecnicos (we didn't see Latin Lover) before hit the ring to help La Parka, who they're pretending is half dead, while the rudos grab Cibernetico and walk off with him before they can get his mask. Cibernetico eventually talks himself into returning. The LLL guys try to hold him back, but he comes in to the ring, unties his mask, says Parka didn't win, Cibernetico won and he'll end Parka's career. Cibernetico finishes untying his mask - he's Ocatvio Lopez and Parka might have won the battle but not the war, and he's still Cibernetico.

Interview: Present day, Cibernetico still promises revenge.

Noti AAA
- Why is Vampiro coming to the ring in Parka outfit? Here's Luzbel in a crazy outfit.
- Coming soon to AAA - Kickboxing! This sucked.
- Coming soon to AAA - Ugly Americans! This wasn't so good. There's five guys here, even though that's not quite what happened.
- TripleMania card listings.

Interview: El Brazo, declaring himself an AAA original and welcoming Shocker, sorta.

Match 3: Mini Abismo Negro, Tiffany, Sexy Francis, Pirata Morgan vs Mini Psicosis, La Diabolica, Polvo de Estrellas, El Brazo
Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, 05/04/05

Winner: Rudos (Abismo German Suplex Psicosis)
Match Time: 11:52
Notes: The highlights of the entrances is Mini Psicosis wearing a "Mini Psicosis" poncho, because that's the only way you might remember who he's suppose to be. El Brazo has his black masked midget with him - the announcers call him Mini Anafare. Pirata attacks him on the way to the ring, and that's the start of the match.

Beatdown, but immediate break. (:30)

Beatdown continues. Psicosis breaks up a pose with a dropkick, and that's how the comeback happens. We get the star submission with a pin in the middle spot too. They finally get to the random matchups after. It's not a particularly good match off this type, even though many of the usual good participants are here. Brazo starts using Porky spots, including a quad Bronco Buster. They're all making me wish I watched Porky instead. He also gets the big Porky splash on top of everyone for a two count. Can't be the finish, we haven't had a run-in yet. Brazo does the Porky apron plancha too. A shot of the Brazo's midget reminds me HE hasn't done anything - and causes us to MISS THE FINISH. (11:22) That's A1 production work. No clue there's even been a finish until the referee starts raising people's arms. Tecnicos are beat out of the ring. Maybe they'll replay the finish after this break?

Eventually, yes! What a surprise. German suplex to do it. This segment has nothing else.

Interview: talks to Psicosis II with his mask off? It's blurred (and he seems to have a hand over his face), but this is kinda odd. The match tonight is for the title, but it'll also prove who's #1 going into the their match at Triple Mania. He's the only Psicosis, don't you know.

Break. Lotta breaks here. They're still hyping Nicho vs Psicsois II for the Mexican Middleweight Championship at this point.

prematch: there's a lot of talking involving Psicosis II, Histeria, Konnan, Cibernetico, and Pena (wearing a Shocker shirt), but eventually we come out with Nicho not being here (he's in the US, because that's where Konnan and Cibernetico told him to be), and Pena replaces Nicho with Octagon in the match (which the crowd really digs.) Angel is his second. Histeria turns out NOT to be Psicosis II's second - he doesn't trust him anymore, and he doesn't want him there. Since this is an unscheduled and unapproved match, the Mexican Middleweight championship is not on the line - I don't think we ever saw the belt. Mini Abismo Negro replaces him.

Match 4: Psicosis II  vs Octagon
Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, 05/04/05

Winner: Octagon
Match Time: 9:47
Notes: Psicosis stalls to start, and then after all the prematch, decides to tease a walkout. He comes back. Stalling after an armdrag. Normal chain exchange, with Octagon getting the better of it and Psicosis being upset about hairpulls. I'm unused to this, because it's an AAA match without  a brawl, actual wrestling. Mini Abismo helps pulls Psicosis close to the ropes to stop Octagon from getting on a hold at one point. Octagon gets Psicosis good with a tope, and controls for a while longer while they're in the ring. Psicosis finally gets control when Min Abismo trips up Octagon from the outside. He gets in some shots as well, without the referee noticing, and then goes for a chair so they can work over the midsection. The referee has to work hard not to see this,, and still, he sorta does. All sorts of chair wackiness on the outside for an extended period of time, and now the ref is even seeing it and not caring. Mini Abismo comes in to help, and Psicosis is using the chair, and they're going to let it all go. Angle is just watching on the outside, a lot help he is. Psicosis gets flapjacked into a splash, and the referee takes forever to get in position for a count. Histeria reappears, with his own chair, and ducks an Mini Abismo shot before laying him out. Histeria comes in as Octagon is making his comeback, swings for Psi, and gets Octagon. He's not too upset about it, but Angel is, and finally comes into do something about it. Dropkick in, Asai Moonsault on the outside. Octagon and Psi are the only two left standing. Octagon quickly remedies that - Russian legsweep, grounded octopus, that's it. (9:47) Psi and Mini Abismo work Histeria over on the outside. Mini Psicosis comes out and brawls with Mini Abismo, and they go into the crowd, obviously heading for some planned spot. Break.

Next Time: TripleMania XXX. And they mean it this time.

Replays.  Yea, Psi and Histeria are now own top of some wire mesh roof, fighting while getting pelted by cups from all directions. Psicosis wisely retreats over the fence to the first deck. I guess this is a review of what we're going to see in the Nicho/Psi match, except they just break it off and come back to the ring without having actually done anything. More replays, because the fighting isn't all that interesting.

That's it.
