CMLL Mini Line - 09/17/05 (#188)
Recapped: a long time after (03/31, 04/15)

straight from the dancing to the wrestling.

Match 1: Hooligan, Arkangel (c), Koreano vs Stuka Jr., Chamaco Valaguez Jr. (c), Fantasy Sensei
Arena Coliseo, 04/12/05

  1. tecnicos
  2. rudos
  3. rudos

Winner: Rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:38
Approx Rating: Okay.
Non-notes: I completely blew the play by play for these guys, all CMLL debuting in this match; Stuka you know by the time I'm doing this, Chamaco is the unmasked guy and Sensei's the guy doing the karate gimmick; I had those last two confused, and it completely threw me out. (There was no graphic before this match, but I should've got it.)

Chamaco is completely useless, Sensei's just okay doing the karate gimmick, and the Koreano/Stuka stuff works out good. It's an excellent set of rudos to debut people against, because the tecnicos all got to look better than should.

Vignette: More Negro Casas highlights with words from his brothers at the Casas Family party. Heavy and Felino congratulate their brother.

Match 2: Universo 2000 (c), Mascara Año 2000, Apolo Dantes vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo (c), Hector Garza, Terrible
Arena Mexico, 04/15/05

  1. Capos
  2. Perros
  3. Perros

Winner: Perros (2-1)
Match Time: 12:07
Approx Rating: Just something to establish the new team.
Other Match Notes: Perro is wearing a Perros del Mal t-shirt. Whatever could that mean? Terrible is wearing a Perros del Mal shirt! So he's always been in, or they forget. They probably forget. But whatever. He's wearing the t-shirt. I can let this go now. Will the Capos enter without incident? I'm confused, because Apolo's entering to the Capos music (which is fine enough) but with Universo's video, and he's not there. That's because he and Mascara are coming thru the crowd, and punk out the guys in the ring.

Capos easily control the start off the sneak attack. All individual brawling, all the time. They eventually come together to work guys over, Perro first. Terrible next, and he takes a catapult into a hiptoss, Apolo adding a top rope splash for the pin. (3:18) Hector's turn, and he takes a double press slam and a dropkick to the head before he's lifted up for Universo's giant sit. (4:00) Replays. Break.

Capos beatdown continues. Turning point, a couple minutes in, happens when Apolo tries a missile dropkick on Perro and gets Mascara instead. Crowd boos the Perros comeback loudly. It turns briefly a 3-1 on the other, way, with Universo being brought in first to be worked over by everyone, but then the Perros are content to go one on one. Terrible ends up toping Mascara Año, and not so great.  Garza and Apolo next, with Garza taking the knee bump halfway up, but using it to trap Apolo for a sandwich clothesline by Perro. Apolo is sent out, and Hector moonsaults to the floor form the middle rope. Perro and Universo are left in, and Perro quickly slams Universo and adds the top rope double stomp for the pin. (4:21) Replays.

Hector throws beer in Apolo's face, which is nice. It's a six men brawl again with no real advantage. Universo and Apolo brawl on their knees on the floor. while Mascara and Hector have an exchange in the ring. On to Perro and Universo - Universo ends up missing a corner charge and heading out, so Perro hits the silla. In the ring, Hector manages to get a Boston Crab on Apolo and Terrible gets the step over head crank on Mascara for the win. (3:46)

Vignette: Negro Casas' sister Alma and (her son?) Negro Casas' nephew Carlos congratulate Negro. Carlos is THRILLED to cut a promo.

Stellar Moments
Flight: Ultimo Dragoncito flies thru the ropes with a crushing tope con giro on Pierrothito. People eat their tasty deserts in response
Painful: Pirate Bomb on Mistico.
Spectacular: Mistico crushes Rey with a springboard plancha. Can you tell they had a singles match we didn't see?
Tecnico: Zumbido lands a double jump plancha on Okumura
Sensational: Satanico's senton to the floor.

Vignette: Rey and Ultimo talk to Averno. They're on a recruiting mission, trying to get more strength on their side to fight Los Perros del Mal. Averno's not too sure about him and Mephisto joining Los Guerreros, but agrees to work with them. Rey suggests getting something to eat to celebrate, but wouldn't you know it, he forgot to bring money.

Match 3: Pierroth (c), Averno, Mephisto vs Shocker (c), Dr. Wagner Jr., Mistico
Arena Mexico, 04/15/05

  1. tecnicos
  2. rudos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-10
Match Time: 13:43
Approx Rating: Fun. 84.
Other Match Notes: Tecnicos enter first, and the crowd is pretty happy to see them. One of these things is not like the others, one of these things does not belong. Mep has TWO belts and is in a good mood. Odd that Pierroth, with his record, is the only guy here without a belt, but then again I can't imagine him in title matches.

Mep and Shocker start, with Shocker pulling out a headscissors from them mat. Mephisto get is a back heel trip and chest slaps Shocker down so he can keep kipping out. Shocker ends that with an with an armdrag, dueling zero leg trips, standoff, and Shocker slaps Mephisto in the face hard. Averno consoles his partner. Averno and Mistico in now. Crowd chanting for each tecnico as they come in. Mistico follows an Averno armdrags with a kip up and an armdrag of his own. Test of strength? Oh, so Averno can cheat and trip him up for two.  There's the monkey roll to your feet, monkey roll with wristlocks with both guys down spot, for two. Averno ends up with the deciding monkey flip, but it doesn't decide much when Mistico lands on his feet anyway. Zero leg trip for Averno, zero leg sweep (plus twisting splash) for Mistico. Tags to Wagner and Pierroth. They are quite loud for Wagner. They are not chanting for Pierroth. Pierroth gets in a clothesline and chops as the fans boo. Corner whip, Wagner spins out of the way of the charge and slaps him in the back. Whip, reversed, Pierroth puts his head down too soon and gets it kicked. Pierroth misses a on a clothesline and Wagner powerslams him over like a bag of potatoes. Spine kick, off the ropes, dropkick to the head, Pierroth's out and Wagner's posing. Not a fine start for the rudos. Wagner reaches for a tag, but Mistico actually springboard over him to get an armdrag on Averno as he charges in. Mephisto tries to sneak in a senton, but Mistico rolls out of the way. Shocker in, and as Mistico superkicks Mephisto (1), Shocker escapes a tilt-a-whirl and gets a cross arm abdominal stretch on Averno. La Mistica on Mephisto, and that's that. (4:07) Pierroth hides in the corner and La Nazi cuts off Wagner. Wagner teases doing something, and eventually yanks off her mask. Shocker teases kissing her, but Nazi backs off. Now Shocker's got La Nazi by the hair, pulling her out so Wagner can slap her by the leg. La Nazi starts to roll out - and Monito kisses her! Strut! Everyone pose! That's a happy first fall.

They clip out the in rest of the in between falls. Crowd is loud for Wagner as he and Averno compare reactions to their poses. Averno's chest slaps aren't strong enough to budge Wagner, though Wagner encourages him to try - and then kicks him in the hamstring.  Whip, reversed, Wagner goes over, and into a back elbow. Averno celebrates and high tens his partners. Averno picks up Wagner by the mask, but Wagner quickly reveres that with a snap mare. Spine kick.  Wagner off the ropes, dropkick to the head, out goes Averno. Wagner out after him, but Averno's backing and begging off into the crowd. Wagner keeps approaching him, and Averno's going back himself out the arena if Wagner keeps coming. Mistico and Mephisto have taken their place in the ring. Mep wants a handshake, but Mistico doesn't think so. Mistico off the ropes, over, under, rolling over, waved by, into the big flapjack. Mistico starts to get up and gets knocked own with a big boot.  Mistico grabs the ropes, so Averno and Mep yank him up, but Mistico flips to his feet. Mistico fakes out Mep with a 619, gets Averno with a 'rana, gets Mep with a drop toe hold, and connects on on the 619 this time. Mistico not done; springboard spinning headscissors sends Mep out, and Mistico teases the dive with a handspring backflip bellyflop. The tecnicos all tease Pierroth, but he's not coming in. Tecnicos pose once again. We look at the crowd while rudos mount a join attack on the rudos, and it looks like it's beatdown time. Mistico gets pressed high on the flapjack once again, and the ring is cleared of all tecnicos besides him. Whip, Pierroth back elbow, whip, double bounce hiptoss, and Pierroth kicks Mistico out of the ring. Anyone else coming in? There's Wagner, after a little delay. Corner whip, corner clothesline, corner clothesline, corner clothesline. Wagner set up on the top rope and tossed off by Pierroth, in position for the double flying headbutt by Averno & Mephisto one two three. (4:22) Pierroth cut off Shocker form interfering, and once Averno and Mephisto are doing pinning Wagner, they give Shocker a triple pump powerbomb. One two three. (4:47) Rudos have Monito - what are they going to do here? Mephisto slams him, and Averno holds him over his knee so Pierroth can belt him in the back! Monito runs off to Shocker for protection.  They regroup on the outside. Averno and Mephisto turn their attention to Mistico - double press and drop on the apron! Pierroth's beating Wagner a bit more too. Replays, and a break.

Rudos still in control as fall three starts. Pierroth gives Shocker a horrible clothesline, just to continue keep it real. La Nazi bites Shocker's hand in revenge, and some how the ref misses this even though she does it twice. Shocker gets a hold of her hair, but Pierroth starts paying attention and puts a stop to it. She ends up handing the belt to Pierroth, but he immediately misses and the comeback is immediate. Mistico hits Averno with a horrendous superkick (2) in the mix. Wagner get the belt, but it gets taken away just before he can do anything. Monito lands a senton and a splash on Mephisto in the confusion. Mistico cuts a promo, and then gets Averno with yet another superkick (3). Wagner and Pierroth do the sunset flip reversed into a dropkick spot, and Wagner actually covers (after fooling around) for two. Slam, no Pierroth uses his technical skill to reverses it into a small package one two no. Odd. Wagner misses a corner charge and gets tripped into the middle buckle, but sidesteps a Pierroth charge and Pierroth throws himself out. Wagner tires to bowl him over with the apron tope con giro, but he gets La Nazi instead.  Mistico and Averno in now. Mistico tries a handspring, but Averno sidesteps and Mep dropkick him in the back. Shocker tries to stick up for his partner and gets kicked down. Corner whip, Mistico backdrop to the apron by Shocker, Shocker double boots the Infernals on the charge, and Mistico hits a cross body on both. They catch him , throw him behind, but he ends up getting boosted into a dropkick by shocker. We go to a weird split screen - they know two dives are going, but they don't where they're going, and Mistico and Shocker both his planchas onto the ex-infernals. Crowd goes nut as we're down to Wagner and Pierroth. Wagner takes himself out with a missed corner splash. La Nazi grabs Wagner, Pierroth tries a big boot, Wagner moves, and La Nazi takes it. Wagner Driver on Pierroth, one two three. (4:49) And it's even clean!

Before the next match, there's a (clipped) presentation for Negro Casas' 25th anniversary. Two plaques for him! All sorts of (non-)wrestling extended family is out on the ramp. He's got a special ring jacket for the occasion.

Match 4: Damian 666, Halloween, Blue Demon Jr. (c) vs Negro Casas (c), Heavy Metal, Felino
Arena Mexico, 04/15/05

  1. Casas
  2. rudos
  3. Casas

Winner: Casas (2-1)
Match Time: 10:16
Approx Rating: Okay. Felt important, with a noteworthy finish.
Other Match Notes:
Negro talks to the crowd as Heavy Metal's music is played. He walks thru his family to the ring. Felino has crazy shoulder pads going on - he's been spending far too much time with Heavy at the party. Felino makes sure he slaps high to all his family members on the ramp - Metal was more specific. The brothers pose. Negro Casas' family doesn't stick around to greet FdT. Someone official talks to them as they're making their way down the ramp, and they stall for a bit before getting to the ring. Maybe the Casas had a few more photos to get in. Blue Demon has Mission Impossible music, and a present! It's a long pole like object. Nice yellow ribbon. What could this be? Hmm, what's Damian missing? Oh, it's a present on behalf of all the rudos, as Halloween explains. Halloween sings to Negro, but Negro doesn't appear to trust him. While we're all pondering the song, Damian rips open the package to grab his cane and whack people with it. I don't think Negro had "hit me with a cane" on his Amazon wish list!

Beatdown is on. Metal is isolated in the ring first, and takes a - well, eventually an elbow drop, but then a clothesline out. Halloween has quite the large tattoo on his back. Felino in, and he's lifted up for a Demon middle rope dropkick. Triple dropkick for him. Is Negro coming in? The rudos pose in the corners. There's Negro, and he gets a small run, but Halloween spears him. Demon misses a clothesline a whip, and the Casa brothers turn it around quick. Negro lands a somersault senton on Demon, and he and Heavy come in to work him over, including stereo kneedrops on his arm and kicks to the spine and back at the same time, with Felino following with a hard kick to the head. Casas brothers hold the ring. Damian gets set up on the apron by Metal, and Felino tries a springboard sunset flip bomb; they slip and it looks more dangerous, but everyone seems to make it thru in one piece. Metal kicks Halloween to the floor as Negro takes care of Demon with the Casas Special one two three. (3:10) What else did you expect? Break.

It seems like we miss the start of the second fall during break; Heavy, Felino, and the rudos are arguing as we return. It settles down to Felino and Damián, exchanging shoves with the cat winning. Off the ropes, Felino over, over, under, sunset flip, Damián rolls thru to his feet, Felino's up before anything can happen., Felino waved by, Damián puts his head down too soon, and Felino rolls over his back into an armdrags. Damian out, Demon in. Demon whips Felino, Felino slides out of the ring, and Metal springboards in. Looked like he wanted to more than that but lost his balance a bit. Demon is fired up, which is saying something for him. Crowd behind Heavy as Demon open hand slaps him. Metal off the ropes, kick to the back of the leg. Headlock, Metal shot off, rolling over the drop down, dropkick to the knee. Whip, reveres, Metal with a springboard flip to get behind Demon, armdrags, and Demon beheads him with a clothesline. Demon mocks the Heavy cant. Chest slap. Corner whip, reversed, Metal gets picked up onto Demon's shoulders, but spins out into an armdrag. Metal teases a dive, but does handsprings to his feet. Negro and Halloween in, and the crowd strongly behind one man. (Not Halloween.) Halloween spits at Negro, and Negro sells it. Open hand slaps don't budge Halloween. Halloween strips off his shirt (that's why he put it back on before!) and dares Negro do do it again. Again no affect, but Halloween's shots work on Negro. Negro ducks one, and boots Halloween in the head, which also works. Damian in to get in a strike battle with Negro as Felino does the same thing with Halloween. Both Casas brothers off the ropes, bodyscissors reversed into face first powerbombs! Metal in, and Demon tosses him face first into the ropes. Rudos tie the Casa brothers together, and end up getting a camel clutches on Negro and Felino while Metal is in a dragon sleeper and all the legs are tied up. That's that. (3:01) Crowd boos. There's already people in the crowd wearing Perros del Mal, and they couldn't have known who was in the group (besides Perro) when they bought the shirt! Negro Casas' mom is not happy about that last fall. Replays. Break.

We return just in time for the third fall, and just in time to see Halloween working Negro over right in front of his mom. Superkick!   Metal is held down in the ring by Damian for Halloween to - shadow box, well, okay. He then starts slapping Heavy Metal around, and I don't think you really want to anger Metal. He's an angry man as it is. They switch off so Damián can boot Metal in the head, and Demon can pose on him with one feet. Metal is rammed chest first into the corner. Is that Negro's wife they keep showing? I don't really know. Metal gets a double underhook face first drop by Demon, and crotched on the post by FdT.  Felino in, and he's worked over quick. Corner whip, corner clothesline, corner clothesline, Whisper in the Wind. Negro in and hurt before he even comes in.  Corner whip, Demon clothesline, Metal clotheslines, Damian is slow so it's Negro who uses Halloween as a springboard for a dropkick. Tecnicos coming back again, quite chaotically. Demon helpfully stands still and dos nothing as Metal sets up and hits a missile dropkick. Heavy punch! Felino bulldogs Halloween off the ramp and onto the big blue steps in a neat spot. Crowd behind Heavy as he and Demon keep working in the ring - overhead belly to belly suplex, spine kick. Tag to Felino. Felino misses a Halloween on a flying attack, but then Damián crotches himself trying to walk the ropes on an armbar. Felino out to the apron to dive at Damian, but Halloween flips him off the apron. Metal and Demon in, and Heavy dropkicks Demon out. Twisting plancha onto Demon. Metal in with Halloween, but he gets tossed into the turnbuckle. Halloween charges him at a high rate of speed and takes a drop toe hold into the buckle, setting himself up for the Negro square corner dropkick. Halloween out, Negro after him, silla is - caught! Negro battles for a 'rana or something while Halloween holds him up - so Damian can swat Damian with a vendor tray! Powerbomb on the floor! Negro's feeling those 20 years now. Both refs are out to check on Negro - and that's the fall immediately. (4:05) Negro's not conscious to know about it, and the rudos regroup when the Casas brothers protect their brother. Rudos pose as the Negro family looks relatively unconcerned. (They must be used to his yearly neck injury angle.) Break.

What do we have here? Well, we have dancing. But after that, when we go back live and Negro and Felino are in the ring, we have Damian and Halloween on the ramp, wearing Perros del Mal shirts. Perro is behind them, with a shirt of his own. (Demon does not have a shirt, but he's with them.) Metal wants to kill Damian when he's talking trash, but security and Felino keep it from happening. They'll have no homicide on Negro Casas' anniversary. Halloween and Damian carry of Perro - so was this all his plan? Truly, he's an evil genius.

So, as they're showing replays, let's not that that at this point, Perros del Mal is Perro, Halloween, Damian, Terrible, and possibly Blue Demon. Look at that one women freak out on the powerbomb. It is happening five feet in front of her, so you can understand . Felino and Metal walk off - I think we missed Negro getting stretchered out. Alas.

That's it.
