  2. Metalico small package Blanco (7:44)

  4. Mascara rocking horse Dr. X (9:39)
  5. Nitro Boston crab Mascara (10:02)
  6. Averno double underhook face first powerbomb Virus (12:15)
  7. Mephisto cover Nitro (13:25)
  8. Felino cover Averno (13:25)
  9. Felino inverted figure for Mephisto (14:17)

Winner: Felino
Match Time: 14:17
Approx Rating: 85
Notes: These are Group A and Group B, and it looks like we're coming in just after the battle royal to set the teams. Got no reaction when I did it differently last time (which, they way I'm printing these recaps, wasn't actually the last time I did a cibernetico, just to be really confusing!), so we'll try it again. We get the whistle, and then an immediate break, so I'll start the time from when they return.

01: La Mascara vs Dr. X. FORESHADOWING. Circle, lockup. Dr. X gets a waistlock takedown. but gets armdrag by Mascara. Dr. X off the ropes, his boot either hits or doesn't hit; the wrestlers themselves aren't too sure either. Dr. X forces Mascara to the mat with a wristlock while things get sorted out. Mascara kips up, armdrags free, Dr. X off the ropes again, Dr. X tries the boot again, the boot doesn't actually come close to Mascara (think it's Mascara's fault), groan. At least we know what was supposed to happen both times. Bad exposing angle on that one sure didn't help. Dr. X with a hammerlock, Mascara with a jumping snap mare to free himself, stand off and I'm happy to see tags.

02: Mephisto vs Nitro, rudo rudo. They don't waste time, Nitro getting better of shoulderblocks and stomping Mephisto, but getting tripped while head ton the top ropes. Mep off the ropes, Nitro hiptoss blocked, Mep hiptoss lands. Nitro awful yelly. Chest slaps. Corner whip, reversed, Nitro eats boots. Mephisto charges out, and lands a clothesline, but misses a running senton. Stand off.

03: Averno vs Felino. What is Felino doing in this match anyway? (Being an obvious candidate for the win, duh.) Crowd chanting for Felino. When we look back at the ring, both guys are running, but Felino's the one who lands the wheel kick. Snap mare, off the ropes, dropkick to the head. Averno rolls out and that's over quick

04: Maximo vs Virus. Is Maximo a gay Roman? Virus doesn't want a piece of him at first. Lockup, Volador headlock, off the ropes, over, under, stopping short of Maximo's monkey flip and slapping him on the butt - maybe Virus is the gay one. Maximo gives a high pitched squeal. Whip[, reversed, Maximo tries a cross body, and Virus pretty much slides under it, picking a knee on the way past. Maximo ended up bouncing his nose off the mat, and he rolls out to check it.

05: Tigre Metalico vs Tigre Blanco. OH NO. Why can't the Tigres just get along? Blanco drops Metalico with a back elbow to start. Snap mare, kick to the spine. Running kick to the midsection by Blanco, then off the ropes and into a Metalico dropkick. Blanco rolls out, but Metalico stays in

06: Tigre Metalico vs Nitro. Metalico mostly stayed in because Nitro was working him over with chest slaps immediately. Nice hard ones. Metalico fights back, blocks one, and pulls off a running up the ropes armdrag. Nitro switches to kicks, but that's caught and he's tripped up. Nitro tires a back elbow, and that knocks Metalico to the mat. He rolls out.

07: La Mascara vs Nitro. Mascara charges it, but Nitro drops him with a clothesline. Nitro's pumped. Off the ropes, quick reverse to a drop toe hold. Mascara over, under, spinning headscissors looks bad because he lost his grip early on, and there's the dive tease.

08: Maximo vs Tigre Blanco. Maximo does a dance. Dr. X comes in, leaves, and they get it all straightened up. Both charge, and Maximo wins the shoulderblocks. Stomps. Whip - no, weak chop. Whip, hiptoss blocked, Blanco lands his. Blanco charges and Maximo takes the monkey flip. Maximo back with a kick and a forearm. Maximo yells. Corner whip, reversed, Maximo backdrops Tigre on the charge, but Blanco head stands in the corner and kicks Maximo away. Blanco poses, and gets chest slapped for it. Maximo off the ropes, and into a boot. Blanco slaps him in the back, and drops him with Falcon Arrow. One two three. (4:52) It's 4-5, Team B ahead. This time, the have a graphic for the eliminations, which sure helps.

09: Mephisto vs Virus. Replay of the finish as these two start. We come back just in time to see Virus run up the post on the outside and armdrag Mephisto, which is probably the end of that. Indeed, there are two others in the ring

10: Averno vs Felino. Felino is shot towards the ropes and dropkicked. Another by Averno. Whip, drop toe hold, elbow drop to the back. Whip, dropkick, no Felino's got the ropes, and now Felino's got a Camel Clutch. Averno - slips out the back. As he puts the camel clutch on Felino, we take a replay of Virus' move. In the ring, Felino's got the clutch back, but again Averno slips out from behind and puts it on. By now, they're really close to the ropes, so when Felino slips out the back, he's able to shove Averno out of the ring in the process.

11: Tiger Metalico vs Tigre Blanco. Wow. Lockup, break. Lockup, break. Now they're shoving! Now they're taking a break. BOOOO. (6:40)

The match picks up right where we left it, with the two Tigres in. Blanco's working over Metalico with chops. Whip, reversed, Metalico hiptoss, but Blanco lands on his feet and chest slaps. Whip, Blanco with a dropkick tot he knee (sorta), but Metalico is right up - now right now because Blanco gave him a back elbow. Up in a standing fireman's carry, down for a gutbuster. Tigre Blanco covers, one two no. Blanco with another chop. Corner whip, Metalico runs up the corner and turns, diving with a somersault bodyblock, but no one's home (or even in the neighborhood.) Blanco off the ropes, clothesline. Blanco keeps either calling for something or just making random tiger motions. Metalico on Blanco - float around small package! one two three! (7:44) That seems like an upset. 4-4, now.

12: Tigre Metalico vs Dr. X. Tigre (and now I can say that with you knowing which one), is off the ropes, over, under a clothesline, stopping Dr. x with a shoulderblock, trying a rolling 'rana, and not getting nearly enough up on it to get Dr. X, so it's very easy for him to powerbomb Metalico.  Elbow drop to add to it. One two NO. Thought that might be. Corner whip, Dr. X charges in and eats an elbow. Nice job getting it up at the last second. Metalico out, trying the 'rana again, but Dr. X catches and blocks again. This time, Dr. X drops Tigre backwards, for a reverse bodyscissors face first powerbomb! Dr. X holds the legs, turns Tigre over, and holds him in a suspended surfboard. That'll do. (8:46). 3-4, B, once again.

13: La Mascara vs Dr. X. Mascara misses his surprise dropkick, and we take a look at the finish replay while they continue. We come back just after a loud boom, and see La Mascara on the mat. One two no. Dr. X is unhappy with the count. Dr. X with a shoulderblock, off the ropes, La Mascara with a loose bodyscissors cradle, but that's okay since he's chaining it into the rocking horse! That's it for the Doctor. (9:39). 3-3.

14: La Mascara vs Nitro. Nitro right on Mascara, but his whip gets reversed, and Mascara dropkicks him in the knee. Again, we miss the sequence while looking at a replay of the last fall, but come back just in time to see Nitro lock on a Boston Crab and Mascara tap out. (10:02) 2-3. They bailed out of the replay showing that, and they really shouldn't be showing replays while the match is going, especially since we're just exchanging eliminations at this point.

15: Averno & Mephisto vs Nitro. But here's the replay anyway. When we return, the ex-Infernales (only members left on their team) are double teaming Nitro, hitting the camel clutch/dropkick to the face combo right before Nitro rolls out. So does Averno.

16: Mephisto vs Virus. Mephisto kicks Virus, Virus backs away and chops Averno on the apron before he can get involved, and Mephisto gets more of advantage on him. Virus gets thrown away by the hair, before Mep tags in his partner.

17: Averno vs Virus. Averno picks up where his partner left off, but Virus rallies back with chops and arm armdrag. Averno manages to flapjack him down, and avoid a dropkick, but gets armdragged again. Bodyscissors is shoved off, but Virus lands that armdrag again, and this time locks the bodyscissors cradle, one two NO. Both men are slow up. Averno with a corner whip, reversed, Virus backs up and charges in, Averno tosses Virus over his head, Virus lands on the second rope and springboards backwards into a 'rana! One two t-NO. Virus can't beeline it. Felino's giving him a pep speech from the apron. You could tag in, dude. Virus off the ropes, 'rana blocked and he gets powerbomb. Infernal Wings! One two THREE. (12:15) 2-2. It would seem to favor the tag team, too.

18: Averno vs Nitro. Replay. Averno off the ropes, and Nitro flapjacks him. Nitro off the ropers, and the senton hits. One two NO. Deliberate counts here. Averno brought up to be chopped. Whip, revered, Nitro sunset flip, Averno rolls thru and dropkicks, Nitro leans back and out of the way because he's seen that a million times, and recovers Averno - one two NO. I hate dramatic slow counts. Averno misses a clothesline, Nitro misses a clothesline, they both cross tope each other! And their partners are both in - and covering! This doesn't seem quite legal, but one two THREE. (13:25)

19: Mephisto vs Felino. Both guys are pumped. Replay shows that Felino added a senton before his cover. We join this match in progress, with Felino clotheslining Mephisto. A short clothesline, a dropkick to the knee, and Felino's looking to end this with an inverted figure four. Will Mephisto give - YES. (14:17) Wow, Felino beat a bunch of midcarders, way to go.

The point, and we don't seem to get to it, is to set up a Mephisto/Felino title match next week.

Match 2: Arkangel, Mr. Mexico (c), Sangre Azteca vs Sagrado, Alan Stone, Volador Jr. (c)
Arena Coliseo, 01/07/05

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:00
Approx Rating: Okay, but nothing great.
Notes: Tecnicos have bad Japanese Pop music, but the maybe it's all bad to me? GET OFF MY LAWN. Alan Stone has the Guapos ring jacket for the match they'll never get around to. Somehow, they dug out a really old video clip of Alan Stone when he had the A mask. I guess not as much "dug out" as "haven't bothered to update", there. They've got something - piņatas? - hanging from the ceiling?

Clip to start the match. We join mid Mr. Mexico/Sagrado sequence, so I'm okay with missing part of what we missed. They battle over leg locks.  I'm not sure if Sagrado meant to do a tapatia and failed or if he's trying something else here. Ark puts an end to it, and Alan scares him off to make this continue. BOOO Alan. Mr. Mexico works a cross armbreaker, Sagrado gets the inside cradle reversal pin once for two, not so much the second time. He also gets a camel clutch for nearly a second. Okay, now I'm annoyed that we're getting a long Mr. Mexico/Sagrado sequence of all things possible. Mr. Mexico is looking good. We end it with Mr. Mexico being sent out on an armdrag, and Sagrado teasing the dive. Alan and Ark now, Ark off the ropes many times before getting hiptossed. Off the ropes, Alan with a bouncing armdrag, and then a springboard headscissors. Dive tease there too. That sequence was about 40 seconds, and the previous one was two minutes, and now they're back in. Huh. Sagrado does the weirdest corner handstand ever - he teases bouncing it out to the apron, but he doesn't, just getting the headscissors instead. Sangre in, and Sagrado gets to work him over - sorta, because he blew whatever he was going for there. Springboard over head headscissors? I have no idea. Dr. Morales has to laugh. The tilt-a-whirl backbreaker is fine. Ark in, to jump into a hiptoss, and his own tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Stick with what works! Sagrado heads up, but Ark boots him outside. Crowd shot but apparently not a clip, as we come back with Ark giving Sagrado a plancha on the floor. Sangre and Alan - Alan defeats a charge with a double boot, Volador springboards in to help, and Sangre kills him with a dropkick. Alan runs right by his partner while he's being pinned to get at Mr. Mexico, and compounds the dopey move by having his 'rana blocked into a powerbomb. Sangre gets his pin (5:10), Mr. Mexico gets his pin with pose (5:16) even though it shouldn't matter, and that's that.

Rudos start a beatdown immediately after the start of the second fall. Sagrado gets assaulted first, but nothing noteworthy - more interested in the ring girl at this point. Alan next. Alan wisely tries to get away at one point, but get stopped. He gets run into Ark's double boots. Volador gets a corner whip, back elbow, clothesline, and top rope headscissors by Sangre. You wanna pin him? No. Sagrado's turn now, and of course he gets to reverse Mr. Mexico's charge into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Sagrado jumps over Sangre as he slides at him, but gets dropped by an Arkangel chest slap? Huh. Ah, it's only a temporary save - Alan lands a springboard dropkick on Ark, and the tecnicos are taking over. Arkangel ends up outside, and flattened by a Alan slingshot tope con giro. Sangre takes a hamstring kick into the ropes, leaving himself perfectly tangled for Volador's springboard guillotine legdrop. That's a pin. (1:53) and so is Sagrado's over the top sunset flip on Mr. Mexico. (1:58)

Tecnicos are excited and in their corner. Rudos are loitering on the floor. Ark and Volador to start. Ark off the ropes, over, spinning clothesline lands. Double chop. Corner whip, Ark quick after for a clothesline. Corner whip, reversed, Volador runs in, corner flips off Ark, ducks Ark's clothesline, pausing shoulderblocks, springboard into a bodyscissors into an armdrag. Lotta work for an armdrag! Volador sidesteps a Sangre dropkick, charges and gets backdropped to the apron, blocks Sangre's punch, gets him in wristlock, and walks the ropes to come in with a headscissors. Sangre is rolled out, ad Volador - teases a dive. Alan and Mr. Mexico, and Mr. Mexico dropping Alan with a clothesline. Mr. Mexico suplex, cover one two no. Alan up first, waistlock, German suplex one two NO. Mr. Mexico small package one two NO. Alan boots Mr. Mexico in the head, snap mare, double armbar, rolling him back into a cradle, one two no. Both up again, Alan blocks a strike, lands a chest slap and a head to the midsection himself. Jumping Stunner! Pretty decent sell by CMLL standards (though still on the downside of US ones - but getting better!) One two - no, Ark break it up. Ark throws Alan out, turns into a Sagrado springboard plancha, throws him off, runs to the ropes, and gets knocked down by Volador. Sagrado covers, Sangre tries to break it up with an elbow, Sagrado moves and Mexico gets it, Volador tries to slingshot splash them both, they both move, Sagrado throws Volador into a double dropkick but they both move again, and now they drops Sagrado with chops. Volador's whipped, Sagrado backdrops him to the apron, Sangre charges and gets a dropkick to the knee that sends him out. Must be time for the dive - Asai Moonsautl! Alan has joined Sagrado and Mr. Mexico in the ring, but he just watches as Mexico corner whips Sagrado - and Sagrado flies thru the ropes to tope Ark! Alan ends up backdropped to the apron, but drops Mr. Mexico. Double jump moonsault! One two three. (3:46) That's a win. Mr. Mexico can't beat Alan Stone! Sangre needs help up post match, but seems okay.

Stellar Moments - earlier than normal
Triumph: Rayo Tapatio II topes Caligula, Rayo Tapatio I pins Koreano
Key: Mini Olimpico ties up Sombrita in a crazy leg lock, upside down double underhook thing
Combination: Starman and Neutron flatten Ramstein and Super Comando with tope con giros over the same corner
Rudo: Loco Max low lows Zumbido and gets the pin.
Tecnico: Mistico pulls off a crazy corkscrew armdrag dive on Ultimo.

Match 3: Black Tiger III (c), Terrible, Okumura vs Super Porky (c), Negro Casas, Super Parka
Arena Coliseo, 01/07/05

  1. tecnicos
  2. rudos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:33
Approx Rating: Typical
Notes:
Everyone's in the ring as we join. Super Parka has Giant Silva's hair. Well, not as much, I guess.

It kinda looks ridiculous to be wearing the Super Parka suit with no mask. I'm paying more attention to following the announcers than the match, because I don't really expect much from this lineup in this situation. Parka is doing the Rayo matador act. Plata gets tagged in. PORK E PORK E. Porky actually convinces Okumura, who has got short hair here, to have a sumo standoff. Crowd loud for Negro too. He and Tiger have an almost kick fest, when they kicks almost connect. They try for some sorta of bulldog spot twice before they give up on it to working, and Negro just does the Casas special to get us home. (3:56) Porky gets the big sit on Okumura, and now he's dead. Because it's that kind of match, Parka get a pin counted too, but we ended with Tiger getting pinned. Break.

Counting the seconds until the beatdown. Okumura and Negro have a painful looking chop contest. Okumura uses an eye rake to get head. Facebite! Negro uses one! Crowd shot when we should be teasing a Negro dive - wonder what happened. We come back to see Parka get in axhandle, then Casas put Okumura in a half crab before Terrible and Black Tiger rush the ring and decide to turn this into a beatdown. Black Tiger hits a second rope somersault senton on Parka, but that isn't it. Parks gets out of the ring on a less than great double clothesline sell - he kinda ran thru it, then fell down. Rudos take special pleasure in beating up Negro. Double Torture Rack! That's it for him. (3:31) Does Porky remember he's captain? Yes. Back in. Terrible slams him! But he's hurting, down to his knees. Tiger shows off standing somersault legdrop, Okumura adds a senton, and they all cover. (4:01)

Beatdown goes on. Tiger tries to take off Negro's face with a running boot scrape in the corner. Announcers are doing a shill for the Super bowl. Later, Dr. Morales' microphone goes out in mid sentence, it appears. Porky ducks a double clothesline and turns it around. Negro runs after Black Tiger to get his revenge, that's kinda funny. Fistdrop off the barricade! And again! Super Porky bits Terrible! Lot of that going on. Haha, he's making fun of Terrible's tongue sticking out bit! Black Tiger and Negro meet in the ring when everything settles down. Casas still wants to kill him for that boot. Black Tiger ain't helping things with his forearms to the face. Negro takes hi out of the ring with a bodyscissors, and to much comes form the previous stuff. Okumura gets dropkicked out by Super Parka, who adds a tope. Terrible and Porky in the ring. Porky gets a chinlock while Negro and Tiger come back in. Ahh, Negro's kicking down Tiger in the corner, and getting in his running dropkick to the face. That didn't hit square, but the effort was there. Negro picks up Tiger, but Tiger low blow uppercuts him in full view of the ref, and that's that. (4:36)

Match 4: GdI (Olimpico, Rey Bucanero (c), Tarzan Boy) vs Atlantis (c), Blue Panther, Mistico
Arena Coliseo, 01/07/05

  1. tecnicos
  2. rudos
  3. rudos

Winner: Rudos (2-1)
Match Time: 15:54
Approx Rating: 85
Notes:
No entrances here either. Weird to see a GdI lineup without Ultimo Guerrero involved. Looks like they attack as we're looking at the lineup graphics and the valets, but then only Atlantis has been knocked out of the ring as we return. He's wearing a top here.

Tarzan and Panther start. Chain sequence. Tarzan manages a double armbar, and then a grounded crucifix for one. Armbar goes back to this feet, Panther reverse to a single leg and a toe hold. Olimpico doesn't like this, but doesn't do more than stand and yell. Tarzan reverses it - Crossface! Tarzan is not quite Chris Benoit, and switches to a kneeling armbar variant. We look away and miss how Panther gets out, but he's back in control and eventually holding Tarzan down for a pin for a bit - Tarzan has to bridge up to escape. Tarzan gets a wristlock with Panther bent over. Tarzan grabs both hands, while Panther has his head on the mat. Panther is able to power up and get it to a stalemate , so Tarzan pulls of a headscissors takedown. Panther is able to headstand out of that and get free, tying up Tarzan's legs in the process. Tarzan's flipped on to his stomach, and Panther grabs the arms as they both get up, and back down when Panther gets an armbar. Tarzan would like at tag but can't get it. Whip, Tarzan with a sunset flip, Panther rolls thru, Tarzan rolls backwards, to his feet and gets Panther in an armdrag. Standoff. Tags. Olimpico and Mistico. How haven't we had the Olimpico/Mistico mask/mask battle yet? It seemed quite inevitable for a while here. MIS TEE KO honkhonkhonk MIS TEE KO. Circle. Lockup, break. Lockup, Olimpico with a side slam? Sorta close to a chokeslam. Circle. Lockup, Olimpico with a hammerlock, Mistico with a back elbow and spins around into a spinning headscissors! Olimpico gets behind, waistlock, legs tied, arms pulled back up, Mistico pulled up, spun around, snap mare - nope, Mistico lands on his feet. Another lockup, Mistico with a headlock, spinning it from arm to arm a bit, Olimpico back suplex, Mistico lands on his feet, Olimpico clotheslines him down. High fives for his buddies. Olimpico tries putting his weight on Mistico's legs, Mistico uses him to roll up into a bodyscissors armdrag. Olimpico cover for zero, Mistico cover for zero, Olimpico shoves down Mistico, Mistico shoves back Olimpico. Let's look at the crowd. Tags. Atlantis and Rey. Rey mocking Atlantis, then getting annoyed with the cheering for him. Rey off the ropes, roll over, under, into a monkey flip. Atlantis gets him with another monkey flip, Rey gets up and runs right into Atlantida! He's done! (7:20) Rudos prefer standoff rather than fighting - Tarzan can't believe how quick that went bad.

Rey stops the ring girl, on her trip around the ring, so he can hit on her! That's why he's awesome. Lotta time left in the show; 20 minutes by my count. Must have a couple breaks left. Panther and Atlantis to start. Panther off the ropes, rolling over a drop down, and getting dropped down by Tarzan's clothesline. Panther takes a corner whip, but drops on Tarzan with a WOW crossbody. Panther off the ropes and back with a low speed spinning headscissors. Olimpico in and chest slapping. Panther blocks one, trips Olimpico up, ad puts on a standing armbar. Rey comes in, but Atlantis cuts him off, and scares him out of the ring. Rey backs up the aisle, facing away from Atlantis and playing innocent. Atlantis wants to get him, but doesn't right away, and then a referee block his path. Fans have a nice chant for Rey. Dr. Morales says they're chanting "Culto!" - maybe something that rhymes with that. Back in the ring, Mistico has just managed to trick Olimpico into flying out of it. Mistico's baseball slide is short again, so Olimpico yanks him out, hard. Olimpico is pretty proud of himself on that one, and gets dropkicked in the head for it again.  Mistico with the baseball slide out, no dive because Olimpico's bent down again, and the outside 619-a-like looks better this time than the last time they did this sequence. Mistico teases a dive, but gets dropped by Rey. Rey grabs Mistico, but Mistico kips up, hops to the top rope, dropkicks Tarzan, lands back on the top rope and falls to the mat, armdragging Rey. Mistico goes to the apron, 619 kick to the Rey's side, then back to the apron for a rope flip moonsault on Tarzan - Tarzan catches him, but gets armdragged anyway! Rudos can't believe it, check on Tarzan, and regroup. Replay of that armdrag, because it was pretty neat. Atlantis and Olimpico - no, Atlantis wants Rey. Rudos talk it over on the outside. Rey decides - no. Okay, he will come in. Ready - and he's going to go the apron. Okay, no for real. They circle, and Atlantis grabs Rey, giving him a short clothesline. Corner whip, Rey gets a clothesline, and the rest of the GdI rush the ring. Tecnicos are laid out in no time. Atlantis gets two corner clotheslines and a spinning dropkick (sorta.) Triple pose submission, with mask pull! (4:41) That gets high marks from the judges for artistic creativity, though they almost lose it all by holding on too long. Olimpico goes out and drops Mistico for fun, and then they all work on Atlantis' mask a little more. Looks like they're opting to untie rather than rip, and doing a pretty good job of it. Laces are completely undone, and he's brought to his feet for Rey to taunt. Rey works Atlantis over while we look at a replay of the last fall finish.

GdI doing the triple Steiner pose to start the fall - which is tough, because there weren't three Steiners. Atlantis is thrown out to the floor, and Mistico is brought in. Whip, Olimpico flapjacks him up, tries to catch him on his shoulder, but it doesn't work right and Mistico falls on his feet. Olimpico instead picks him up, and just drops him down. Rey picks Mistico up, and drops him with a face first crucifix bomb. All three rudos grab Mistico's mask, and rips - Mistico has really light hair underneath. Atlantis brought in, but he ducks Rey's punch and Olimpico's punch, and that's enough to start the comeback. Panther spears Rey, ad Mistico dropkicks Tarzan from behind. Olimpico and Atlantis have a chase outside, expect Olimpico doesn't know Atlantis is behind him till he turns and gets punched. Blue Panther tries to rip off Rey's mask, which is really bad for Rey, since he doesn't have a mask ad is just getting his face ripped. Things end up with Rey and Atlantis in the ring and exchanging chops. Rey tries to go off the ropes, and Atlantis falls on top, one two no. Rey tries a clothesline, misses, and is slid chest first to the mat. Panther comes in, and goes right back out, tope-ing Rey. Mistico wants to dive, but Olimpico is in his way - so Olimpico takes the tornado armbar! Tarzan is right over to break it up, which is a good thing for Olimpico. Atlantis dropkicks Tarzan down, and takes himself and Olimpico out with a clothesline. That leaves Mistico and Tarzan. Tarzan drop toe holds, Mistico into the corner post, then whips him and flapjacks him high in the air. Off the ropes, senton but no one's home. Mistico off the ropes, tornado armbar on Tarzan! He gives! (3:08) Mistico celebrates, but Tarzan's not the captain, and he gets knocked out of the ring by Tarzan, which seems vaguely illegal. The refers just settle at keeping the two separated. Inside the ring, the other four end up fighting. Atlantis traps Rey in an abdominal stretch while Olimpico tries a 'rana on Panther. Panther rolls thru, but Tarzan sneaks around the ring while everyone's looking at Atlantis and Rey, and puts Olimpico back on top! Olimpico's got the ropes now too. Ref doesn't see it, counts, one two three. (3:42) Atlantis turns to argue, but that allows Rey to get in a low blow, and a Crossface! That's it! (3:53) Break.

After the break, we've got time for Olimpico to tell everyone GdI is the best-est in the world, and they want a match for the tag team titles. Rey's fired up! Right here in the ring, he wants the titles. VIVAN LOS GUEREROS.
