Tarzan didn’t get along with his partners, and they lost in two straight falls.
5) Universo 2000 b Halloween [hair]
Mascara Ano 2000 and Damian both interfered and got thrown out. Perro did not actively interfere, but did distact with his appearance. Halloween got a near fall on his own variant of the Black Hammer, and then Universo got it for the win. Ovaciones says Halloween got shaved before being strechered out, which is more consistent with what they’ve done in the past.

In their first match of the tour, Sangre Azteca & Safari defeated Jado & Gedo in 10:48; Sangre pinned Gedo. (Puroresufan.com)

Halloween did a inverted Emerald Flowsion, then Universo got the win with his Black Hammer, which makes no sense, cause Universo does the move IN FRONT of the referee Rafa el Maya, which was the same referee who disqualified Universo when he blackhammered Canek in the 71 Aniversaru show.

  2. Yeah, but Rafa also got his ass kicked afterwards, so perhaps that entered into his reasoning.

  3. After the 71th Anniversary show, they did run the angle where Universo ‘proved’ the Black Hammer wasn’t a Tombstone and shouldn’t be causing DQs. I guess they recalled that. It’s part of a whole campaign to prove Universo is awesome and never should’ve lost his mask and is also awesome.

  4. After Universo defeated Perro Sr. in the mask vs. hair match, they said that the Black Hammer was intended to be a sit-down powerbomb, but because Perro was very tired, the move ended in a sit-down piledriver.
I don’t understand: When Universo does the tombstone, they called it Black Hammer too.
When Damian received the Black Hammer #1 (the sit-down piledriver) a few weeks ago, Universo was disqualified.
The CMLL booking team has the same memory spam of a goldfish (about three seconds)
