KirsZ reports that Mephisto beat Satanico last night (last night being 2/24) to win the CMLL Welterweight Title. I believe it’s his first title, as either Astro Rey Jr. or Mephisto.

One last note: Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Buccanero, and Super Porky all worked the 2/22 Toryumon X show in Arena Coliseo. Might be worth checking out if a tape surfaces.
The mask thing confuses me too as a lot of these guys are masked.
Brazo de Oro Jr. – Undercard worker. Still pretty green.(mask)
Brazo de Plata Jr. – Bigger than his brother height wise but pretty skinny. Porky started small too so I’m guessing Plata Jr. won’t get his push till he gains some weight.(mask)
Espiritu – Not the AAA guy, this one works undercards in Puebla. Don’t know much about him.(unmasked)
Fabian el Gitano – Jose says he has the look so he might go far.(unmasked)
Hijo del Texano – He’s definitely got the looks as the IWRG/CMLL Guadalajara girls love him. A strong candidate to win it b/c of that fact and that he is Texano’s kid.(unmasked)
Karisma – Another undercard Puebla worker. Longshot I would say.(masked…as far as I know)
Koreano – Undercard worker for a while now. Does a Korean gimmick(duh) and has facepaint a lot of the time which isn’t really ‘Guapo’ if you ask me. Also chooses some very ugly colors for his outfits.(unmasked but face painted)
Leono – NO IDEA. Hopefully not the Leono from the famous Thundercats trio in the 80’s.
Lestat – Another undercard Puebla worker. I guess they figure they had so much success with Loco Max last year, they may as well grab everyone. I’d assume even if he gets eliminate he stays on the roster as Max did.(unmasked…I think)
Lobo Vikingo – Another undercard worker. Probably going to end up the joke of the tournament and eliminated early b/c obviously he does a viking/caveman gimmick. That’s DEFINITELY not Guapo.(unmasked)
Maximo – I have never heard this name before and I follow names on the indy scene quite religiously. So either this is a regimmick person(which would make him a good shot to win) or it’s one of the Maximos we all know and love.:) Well you don’t, I do.:)
Misterioso II – I’d pick him to give Texano Jr. a run for his money but he’s masked so this is odd. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him end up in the finals(assuming it’s still a tag match).(mask)
Sangre Azteca – Do I even need to say I want him to win? I don’t like his chances b/c he already has a stable. I can see him doing the Zumbido role from the last tournament and just causing trouble before Shocker kicks him out.(mask)
Alan Stone – Being pushed heavily as a tecnico right now so his chances of winning would be high. He doesn’t fit in anywhere else so this would be the perfect slot for him. Then again, I said that about Tony Rivera last year and he’s still stuck doing nothing.(unmasked)
Chris Stone – Might be the darkhorse. Vanished off the face of the earth when Alan started getting a push so they may have just been waiting to redebut him and now would be the perfect time. Is a way better heel and they could have a good angle out of the brothers fighting for a chance to become the new Guapo with the loser going heel at the end or even both winning and Magica getting kicked out like he DESERVES.(unmasked)
Tigre Metalico – Ovaciones loves this guy and will probably pimp him to death. I didn’t like the footage I saw of him at all. He’s a very awkward person to put in this tournament b/c he’s masked and actually has his own gimmick which fits with the Guapos as much as Olimpico fits with Los Talibanes.(mask)
