Vignette: Olimpico plays interviewer (the most screen time he's got in MONTHS) as Arkangel, Sangre Azteca and Ramenstein wish us happy New 2003. Dr. Wagner provides the unusual run-in on a Feliz Ano segment by stealing the microphone so he can proclaim 2003 the year of Wagner. They make a list for Wagner of people he should beat, which is awful helpful but out of character for Olimpico. Maybe he's just happy to be here. Everyone pose to end it.

Terrible DQ (low blow)
Olimpico is the sole survivor
Thought

Notes: Ah, those four were together because they're together for this match - a Guapos/CMLL midcarders encounter. Power, Genetico and Marshall all do or have looked like Shocker to varying degrees, so they're a very confusing team. JIP - we're down to Terrible/I'm guessing Mr. Power but let me get back to you on that vs Olimpico/Arkangel, which means we're denied the first Ramstein full TV appearance.

We join with Ark hitting a top rope plancha to the floor on Terrible. Their partners cheer them on to get back in the ring. Both are slow in but Ark reminds in control. Chop. Corner whip, reversed, Ark takes him self to the apron, Terrible charges and gets slapped, Ark going up - Terrible charges, off the second rope armdrag! Ark is in pain. Terrible blocks a clothesline, hammerlock into a bodyscissors cradle (we're saying) one two three. (1:07) Olimpico immediately dropkicks Terrible out - somersault plancha is almost missed by the camera but they do manage the You Are There camera angle for once. Tag into - actually that could be Genetico. Dropkicks for Genetico. Bodyscissors rollup one two NO. Olimpico with a kick. Chop. Slam. Olimpico going up - fans aren't sure about this - somersault senton but no one's home, cover one two NO! Power works him over him, fireman's carry drop. Now he's going up - top rope turning senton but no one's home. Olimpico getting up but I guess that was just Power rolling through his move when he saw Olimpico moving, because he has no trouble getting an inside cradle one two no. Power tries a clothesline, Olimpico blocks the arm, armbar into a Octopus cradle one two three. (2:53) Damien is on Olimpico, with a forearm, chop, clothesline misses, Olimpico with a 'rana, Terrible rolls though one two NO. Terrible pounds the mat in frustration. Crowd shot and we come back to seen an Olimpico backslide one two NO. Olimpico with an armbar and he goes for that reverse abdominal Octopus cradle again, but Terrible hits him hard with a low blow knee lift! That's it - ref saw it and is raising Olimpico's arm. (3:42) Terrible is laughing about it. Guess he won as far as he's concerned. He celibates while Olimpico is in pain. Replays.

Vignette: Felino welcomes Super Crazy to the best wrestling in all of Mexico. Super Crazy is happy to be here - it's a wonderful time to be here during the holiday season. Felino somehow segues into talking about his title belt (yea, I forget too - he's CMLL Welterweight Champion.) You know Felino, it's probably not a good thing to be brining up that you have a belt, because that's the only time they seem to get defended. Volador says he'd like to be champion one day. Being champion is good. Super Crazy is just happy to be here with the good wrestlers. Feliz Ano 2003. Super Crazy does this "I'm gonna keep waving my hand like this till you tell me we're out - even if this goes on for a beat too long" thing that makes me laugh because I'm odd.

2 Juventued Guerrera (c), Infernales (Averno, Mephisto) vs Super Crazy, Felino (c), Volador Jr.
12/27/02, Arena Coliseo
75
1 trios 4:30 Felino reverse figure four Juvi Good action throughout, would have enjoyed one more fall. Juvi's looked fine in this last stint, which is a nice sign.
2 5:31 Juvi DQ (Felino mask pull)
T 10:01 Tecincos (2-0)

Notes: "This lack of self control is never ending" hahahaha anyway Infernales are wearing those outer mask hoods this week. Crazy has generic music and will not take off that CMLL shirt. I guess that's Felino's generic music?

Long stall to start. Averno and Mephisto have had better outfits. Juvi's opted for the home whites. Felino's wearing orange. I've got too much item here. Circle. Volador's wearing white. Now I can't stop laughing because of the wedding dress possible significance of that. Like there's these deep uniform rules - "you've got to done something really screwed up to wear that red, Volador - you haven't earned it yet!" This is what happens with too much time. Crazy and Mep will start. Lockup, Mephisto with a waistlock, Crazy with a go behind into a hammerlock, Crazy battles for a wristlock into a hammerlock, Mep goes into a hammerlock, single leg, drop toe hold, Mep reverses to a leg scissors, Crazy escapes, zero count. Both up, Mep with the back heel trip, Crazy tries the grounded headscissors but Mep pushes the legs away. Armbar but Crazy turns it to keep up, Mep with a hipblock takeover but Crazy with a single leg trip, both kip up and standoff. Tag out, and Volador and Averno do simultaneous rolls into the ring.  Both take their time getting ready. Lockup, break. Lockup, Volador with an armdrag into an armbar, Averno breaks free but grabs his arm. Charge, Averno with a hipblock takeover, headlock, Volador with a headscissors reversal, Averno rolls on the mat to his advantage, cover for zero. Both end up back up to their feet, Averno with a hiptoss, Volador kips up and armdrags Averno down. Lockup, no, Averno with a single le g and tripping the other. Off the ropes, over, under, jump over the monkey flip, Volador charges and hits that monkey flip (Averno's feet hitting bottom rope.) Volador charges at Averno for something, Averno blocks it and hits a hipblock takeover one no. Volador with a back heel trip cover for zero. Volador with a pointless headstand flip and that leads to a slap battle.  Averno's slap is ducked, and we have a standoff. Tag out. Felino and Juvi. Felino listens to the crowd. Juvi off the ropes, clotheslines is caught and turned into an armbar, Juvi with a headlock, shot into the ropes, over, under - well, almost, as Juvi kinda clips Felino by running into his leg. They decide to try this again - off the ropes, Juvi goes over and gets a dropkick to the knee. Juvi kips up, Felino does a forward roll, reaches out for a whip but pulls his arm back to screw with Juvi. Juvi chases the arm but Felino pulls it back again. Juvi retaliates with a jumping spinning heel kick. After a weird sequence that doesn't look quite right, Felino gets a reverse figure four on Juvi and that'll do it. (4:30) Crazy and Volador kept the help from coming there. Break.

Replays.

Tecnicos hold the ring as the second fall starts. Averno is first in for his team and he and Volador start wrestling when we're not looking - Averno with a big flapjack for Volador. Open hand slap, whip, flapjack flip reversal. Volador off the ropes, handspring moonsault bodyblock (or a flip for no reason) but no one's there but Volador lands on his feet anyway. Averno misses a clothesline and Volador hits a climbing enziguri. Tag to Crazy, but first replays of what we just saw. When we're back, Crazy and Mephisto are already going. After a bit of running that gets us nowhere, Crazy tries a corner whip, flipped to the apron on the charge, Mephisto is slow to realize, Crazy with the shoulder, up top and a top rope cross body doesn't seem to have much impact. Mephisto nails Crazy with a back elbow and is in control. Stomp, whip, reverse, sunset flip, Crazy rolls though nicely and hits the dropkick to the face. Mephisto to the floor. Juvi and Felino in now, Juvi hitting a dropkick to the knee in no time. Pumphandle face first powerbomb. Felino crawls to the ropes, so it's time for the 55. Volador to get after Juvi but Averno is in to nail him - big back elbow take shim out, as Juvi goes for Felino's mask. Averno and Mephisto take care of Crazy and Volador with some nice team work as Juvi unties - we just keep going back and forth between the two sets of action so it's hard to see or call much of either. Averno with a move that's close enough to a Thunder Fire Bomb to not have to make up my own name and Mephisto with a top rope splash on Crazy, but they don't cover him. Juvi seemed to have Felino's mask off but facing away from the camera. Juvi sets him up in the tree of Woe and gets a double whip into the dropkick to the head. Infernales with the double whip, double spinebuster. Picking Felino back up, double whip, double flapjack. Juvi with an elbow that knocks Felino out of the ring, and almost completely takes off his mask in the process. Crazy back in and worked over - there's the running assisted sit. on the chest. Volador back in but doesn't last long. He's set up for the running sit but Juvi gets pulled out on the run. Mephisto tries to help but ends up hitting Juvi. Volador hits a 'rana to the outside on Averno that does look as great as it might sound. Mephisto with a slingshot somersault plancha on Volador, who's next? Super Crazy top rope Asai Moonsault! Felino and Juvi back in the ring, Juvi misses a corner splash, Felino blocks a corner clothesline. Juvi blocks a Felino right, Juvi gets a waistlock then loads up Felino in a Torture Rack - spinning into a powerbomb! He's saying it's over - Armbar, pumphandle, Felino lands on his feet so Juvi pulls of his mask completely (you can totally see his face - Felino doesn't react quick enough to to cover) and clotheslines him! That's a DQ. (5:13) Juvi doesn't care too much because he's got a mask. I guess the pumphandle face first powerbomb is Juvi Driver II. After Juvi celebrates a little bit, the rudos decide to beat up on the tecnicos trying to come to Felino's aid. Volador and Crazy are cleared out so Juvi can beat up Felino a little more and stop him from hiding his face. Replays - that 'rana didn't look as good because Volador kinda balanced himself on the apron before delivering the slingshot move, which created a pause in the whole process, though it was still a fine move.

Vignette: CMLL Bloopers. Gran Markus keeps forgetting his lines. Bestia and Scorpio can't do their bit without cracking up. It's hot in those outfits. Rayo blows his lines. Satan makes Mascara trip on the ramp, apparently. Shocker apparently forgets what building he's standing in front of. Pierroth swears.

Spectacular Moments - Nice Asai moonsault - but the midget kicked a guy in the crotch on the way down. Here's Mascara slipping on the ramp again. Apolo thinks MA200 must be having some sort of mental issues. Run when you see Ultimo Dragoncito coming your way, because he's gonna take out the first five rows. The Stones win. We're happy for 'em. Nice Veg-a-matic.

Vignette: Shocker addresses the students. Where's Ricky? There's the phone number to call. Ah, he's late. I think he's still winning. Shocker singles out Loco Max and Terrible - for their behavior? Ah, it sounds like they're doing something with Zumbido. They turn out to be not so happy about it. Have a 1000% Guapo 2003.

3 Dr. Wagner (c), Black Tiger, Mascara Ano 2K vs Shocker, Mr. Niebla (c), Super Porky
12/27/02, Arena Coliseo
72
1 trios not shown (tecnico win) good fun but short - Niebla/Wagner would be interesting in a long program, and the whole mask bit was nice work off the previous similar finish.
2 1:46
2:26
Mascara octopus Porky
Referee stop (Niebla)
3 4:23 Wagner reversed victory roll Niebla
T 8:49 Rudos (2-1)

Notes: JIP - first fall not shown, we come in a little bit before the second fall starts. Stop me if you've heard this one before - Porky is filling in for a no-showing Lizmark Jr.

Shocker and Mascara will start. Mascara off the ropes, over, under, hiptoss is blocked and he hits his own. Pose. Chop. Chop. Whip, Charge in, Shocker kips up and out,  Mascara charges out into a backdrop. Mascara back after him with open hands slaps but Shocker handling them well. Mascara off the ropes but right into a big boot. Shocker with the dive tease and pose. Wagner in to pose - Niebla in to kick him in the back. Tiger ambushes Niebla with a back elbow in revenge. All the rudos staying in - double corner whip, Mascara corner clothesline, Wagner corner clothesline, Tiger assisted high dropkick. Shocker trying to help out but he's quickly taken apart. Mascara works the arm as Wagner beats Niebla on the outside. Tiger setting up Shocker for something but we miss it looking at Wagner slowly take care of Niebla. Tiger is kinda enough to waist 20 seconds to set up the move because he sure wants it on camera. Mascara working over Porky - that's a variant of the Octopus (1:46) to get that win. Tiger ended up just forearming Shocker to the mat and giving up on that, so who knows what was supposed to happen there. Wagner brings Niebla back in so they can beat him - snap mare, ripping at the mask while the other two kick. Not quickly or anything. Wagner does do a good job of ripping the mask - top of the face is exposed. I keep waiting form them to award the fall to someone and eventually the ref waves it off (2:26). Tiger brought Shocker back in now, and there's the Thunder Fire Bomb he was looking for before. Mascara helpfully puts Shocker in a camel clutch so Tiger can get a dropkick, but this fall is over. Outside, Wagner has completely taken off Niebla's mask but I guess it's not a DQ because this is over. Wagner punches the mask for our benefit. Replays. Some of this stuff didn't need slow motion, if you get what I'm saying.

Fall three starts and the rudos hold the ring. Wagner is hanging Niebla's mask in his corner, so I don't think Niebla got it back. Wagner then rushes Shocker on the apron and they all stomp him, so I guess we've got more of the beatdown. Shocker powers back against Mascara but the numbers, the y are too much. And Porky is minimal help. I guess Niebla went to get a new mask because he's not there were we left him. Porky gets a double whip - double backdrop is feat of strength by Wagner and Mascara. Nice senton by Wagner. Senton by Mascara isn't bad. Tiger his a slingshot kick of some sort. Porky is kicked out. Shocker is running around the ring trying to find a way to get in without getting beat down. He is not successful. NIEBLA'S BACK! HE'S RUNNING IN ON HIS OWN MATCH! He's got a blue mask which totally does not match with his outfit but you know sacrifices have to be made at times like this. Niebla slaps for all the evil. He's whaling on them. Comeback is on - Shocker manages to beat Tiger and Mascara by himself because Porky is no help. Tiger gets a DDT on the stage. Niebla with a nice clothesline on Wagner, and we can note that his mask isn't tied up. Shocker and Porky with stereo chops. Niebla asks the crowd if they want him to kill Wagner. That's a yes. There's the handspring elbow of DEATH (well I'm making assumptions), there's a tease a of a dive because he notes Wagner ducking and then there's the actual tope! Niebla has to grab his mask to keep it on after impact. Mascara and Shocker back in - Mascara with a corner whip, reversed, Shocker with a driving shoulder. He waves Porky in (Porky miss a cue there?) and forearms Tiger on the apron to draw him in to the ring. Tiger charges at Porky and gets a backdrop. Porky knocks Tiger into Mascara and both into the corner, they fall in to position, and Shocker whips his partner into the Bronco Buster. Tiger rolls out, Mascara gets dropkicked out, and the mascot splashes Mascara!! That should totally be a DQ. Tiger sees Porky heading that way and runs - Mascara gets hit with the apron dive, while Shocker manages a second rope plancha on Tiger. Niebla and Wagner back in - Niebla charges RIGHT into the powerslam. No cover, Wagner off the ropes and hitting a dropkick to the face. Wagner with a kick, I guess it's supposed to be caught but it was short so it wasn't, Niebla covers by just picking up the leg. Un foul? Nah, big slap. Niebla's pumped. He's calling for something or other - ah, the mask. There goes the top, but that always happens to Wagner. Maybe he should just get an open top. Victory roll by Niebla, but Wagner pulls the mask (that's why you tie it!) and uses the distraction to reverse the roll up one two three. (4:23) Referee probably didn't see it because Niebla's head was covered up by Wagner's body. Or he's evil, who can say.

Vignette: Antifaz blows his lines in a promo. He's annoyed at himself. 4 takes? Yes he did it! Pierroth has issues taking off his glasses. One or Rayo's valets has a nipple slip - another valet tries to fix and makes it blurred out worse. Is that the Magadan/Negro Casas footage? Sounds like it. Magadan got a bloody eye. Dr. Wagner blows a line talking to fellow doctor Dr. X. Markus blows his lines asking for help from the Capos. Your Tag Team Champions wish us Merry Christmas - well they would if someone wouldn't walk right in front of the shot. No respect at ALL.

Next Week: Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, Dr. Wagner, Black Tiger, Pierroth, Super Crazy, Tarzan Boy and lots more.

We get one more look at the after math of the last match - well, the mascot splash at least. It seems like it has the impact of a pillow. Porky is considerably bigger. Here's all the replays. Back in real time, Niebla and Wagner have words but I don't think anything's coming of it. Wagner's got front row people kissing him, wow. Shocker is not impressed. That's it.

Rating: Bases on the quality of the finish, ring work, internal/external storyline, consistency and my whims. Also, various other (random) factors that I can't think of right now. 0-100 for matches.

Breakdowns: 3 Matches (22:32) about 32.2% of showtime (70:00);
Average Match Rating 70
Overall Match Rating: approximately 72
2 Trios, 1 4 v 4 Cibernetico
2 Tecnico over Rudo wins, 1 Rudo over Tecnico wins

Closing Notes:

1. Would have been nice if we got two complete matches instead of 2 partials and one two fall one.
2. I think Arkangel has appeared more times in a row here than he had in total the last year
3. The dual mask pulling finishes worked okay-er back to back than they may have seemed from summary
4. Niebla running in on his own match was probably more funny to me than it should've been
5. Maybe they should just not advertise Lizmark at the point.
