Nothing.

Other News

– The next firmware update, 2.30, will go live on April 15th (Tuesday). The Blu Ray sound output will be improved to “DTS-HD Master Audio”, which I don’t know about and don’t really care about but is surely great.

The meat of the update is the revamped Playstion Network store. Sony put a video walk thru on their blog. It looks a lot better and quicker to navigate thru.

It looks like the store will update on Thursday, so you won’t be able to get GT Prolouge or the Warhawk expansion until later the week. I’d guess they want to allow everyone to upgrade ahead of time so the servers do not get killed with people trying to get everything at once.

I hope this was just a one start off bit with Rich Hill, because he was okay last time out. But his bad spring and his past stints of completely losing it makes me worry this is something more. Thank goodness for Lieber, who would be Player of The Series if I figured those out. He was likely the difference between the Pirates taking 2 of 3 in this series and the Cubs sweeping it.

Soto is settling in nicely as at least a second tier catcher. His batting stats are probably a bit better than they will be, but he’ll be making it up with better defense as the season goes on, I figure.

Fontenot hitting a home run was about as improbable thing as possible. I was talking on the phone with someone else watching the game during the at bat, and he noted, on impact, Fontenot hit it as best as he could hit it. That still isn’t usually enough for Fontenot to get it far, but just kept floating and floating until it was somehow in the right field bleachers. Credit to Lou for giving Fontenot a random start.

vs the Phillies
Fri: Z vs Brett Myers (should be good)
Sat: Lilly vs Hamels (I have no idea)
Sun: Marquis (maybe) vs Jamie Moyer (should be odd)

Always good to get the offense going right before they head into the Philadelphia. Z can do anything, but Lilly and Marquis might make for some high scoring games while in that ballpark.

I can’t believe there’s an off day between this and the Reds series. I’m so done with hearing about Dusty already.
