Dean Rasmussen of the Death Valley Driver joins us to talk about the DVDVR and its humble origins, the DVDVR 500 and the contoversey it caused, including the Great Manabu debate, Smackdown and the lessons it can teach, following wrestling while having kids, early memories of Eddie Guerrero, Bio-Franken vs. Super Delphin, good stuff in wrestling now, and a heated debate over Men at Work vs. The Barrio Brothers. Forty-five minutes of awesome.

Phil Schneider of Death Valley Driver joins us to talk the DVDVR Best of Japan Indy Poll, including the match selection and DVD creation, what didn’t make the cut, a history lesson of the 80’s Japan indy scene, what to watch for, plus possible future polls. We also discuss Kurt Angle, the old Schneider comps, Tiger Mask getting kicked in the groin, the mediocrity of J’d, Jedo getting his ass kicked, Vader punching Boss Hog, Phil on seeing shows in Mexico and doing commentary, and the phenomenon of tuberculosis selling. Over an hour of power.

Heat 08/19

I will SO not miss Matt Striker. Good thing they thought to blow off the Conway/Striker angle. Rob Conway as a firey babyface actually seems like it’d be a fun idea for 4-5 weeks and then I’d get bored seeing him every 3 out of 4 shows.

Also, if you missed it last week, CRZ was the guest of the week on Joe Versus The World. Go read his ECW recap.
