So. He’s still walking people too much, it doesn’t seem like he’s getting he’s got good command of his breaking stuff, and you’ve got to get past the 6th inning – but this was pretty comforting. Gotta do it again, not this good, but got to be consistent.

For a while, I was feeling bad for whitebacon, but luckily Cedeno continued his wacky play and let a catchable ball be uncatchable. Also completely predictable was Rusch losing the game; it was just a surprise it took an extra inning to do it. It’d be neat to see Hill take his spot, but I’m thinking Wuertz heads down.

Neither team seemed ready, but this isn’t much less than what we should expect from an offense with this John Mabry at 1st and Jacque not in a hot streak.

Todd Walker’s insane ramblings beside – “we can’t win 2 of 3, we’ve got to sweep every series [to make a playoff run]” – this was a pretty good series. Weird road trip.

I guess this could be Rich Hill’s last start either way; maybe if he’s just okay, he’s sticking around, but if he’s quite good or quite bad, he might make his next major league start on a new team. Guess we’ll see.
