Cubs rise to 24-36
Reds drop to 36-25

POTG: C Henry Blanco (2 H, 3 RBI, 1 R – now all the way up to .125!)

Runner up: 3B A-RAM (2 H, 2 RBI, R)

Sliding Scale: Bynum took a walk, did not strike out, got double switched out of the game. That’s a heroic performance for him.

Why didn’t Dempster work for a week? If he’s a good pitcher and not just a guy they use to fill up one column on a scoresheet, I’m sure there were innings for him.

I think we’re heading towards Womack getting a good deal of starts when Derek comes back. So sad. I know OBP is important, but this team has very little power with Lee gone and A-Ram’s performance this season; it’d be nice to have someone get a double a bit more often. (0 XBH last night.)

Even with a win, I’ve kinda lost my enthuse for this enterprise. Maybe I’ll get back if they can win two in a row again.
