Cubs rise to 18-25
White Sox drop to 28-15
POTG: 3B A-Ram (2 HR, 2 R, 2 RBI, this is a coin flip)
Runner Up: RF Jacque Jones (HR, 2 RBI), CF Juan Pierre (2 H, R, SB), SS Ronny Cedeno (2 H, RBI)
Doing this really quck, because today has sucked and I’m about out of time.
It’s be nice if this was a turning point, but let’s wait till tommorow and the next week to see it. (Beating the Marlins still shouldn’t be hard.)
Look at Jacque’s numbers:
273 AVG
315 OBP
488 SLG
That’s as good or better than he was doing in his last few seasons. Yes, it’d be nice if he walked more, but he’s playing no worse than ever. I’m thisclose to being Jacque’s only defender in the world. He didn’t force the Cubs to over pay him! He doesn’t force Dusty to bat him against lefties! He’s doing what he can in a cruel world. The problem ain’t him, so people should stop blaming him.
Zero walks taken on the day.
