booo: Jerome Williams (it’s not time to give up hope on him, but it IS time to check and see if he’s got options), 11:30a starts, Jones + Barrett + Murton hitting (0 for 12, Jacque is still looking for his first Cubs hit), Barrett’s defense (E, PB #2, 3 SB by Freel – let’s stop this now), yet another day off

As much as I’m worried about Marshall, I’m sure Rusch has hit the expiration date, and we really can’t do anything about it right now; there’s no better alternatives. Cub bats are going to have to come out hot, because this won’t be the last +6 run game by the pitching staff.

Interstingly, the Cubs.com notes article today says, of the three guys on the DL, Kerry’s actually the one closest to returning. (I was under the impression that was supposed to be Prior) Per new policy, they’re not even hinting at an actual date, but all will do minor league rehab, and that season doesn’t start till – tommorow! Geeze, more to write tonight.

2) Bizarre personal highlight of the ROH show – running into a friend from college I hadn’t seen since college during intermission. In a dumb move, I’d separated myself from everyone I knew in college as soon I left it, but I finally understood the unbelievable level of my personal dumbness of cutting myself off at the time.
