As an act of goodwill (and a make good for when I steal “monkey in the bank” from Sofa), I want to gentley let the good folks at weeklyvisitor (and everyone else, sure) know that, despite being on both tapings this week, I don’t think Mr. Chuck Palumbo will return to Heat or Velocity this week. It’s was first match one each show (usually a dark match) and they’re not going to have a former employee be a local jobber on B-show if there’s any thought on bringing him back. I guess it could happen, but don’t be shocked when it does not.
If you dig dip in to the 600s on a Comcast cable system, you may get to see him tombstone Ultimo Dragon, but I think that’s the closest he’s getting to Velocity this week.
(This post needs some padding. Hmm.)
As an aside, why do I have to watch Velocity on a four inch screen? I mean, I guess it’s getting me all prepared when I impluse buy a iPod Video sooner or later, but since the content is free anyway (and who’d steal Velocity?), why can’t it pop out to it’s own Windows Media Player so I can stretch and distort it however I like? I’d like to not suffer eye strain trying to watch Scotty 2 Hotty matches, please.
Edit: So no one dimly wonders, I wrote about the lucha guys being fired on the lucha site. Really, since they’re going to keep keeping on with whatever, this just means instead of being flown in on Tuesday wherever SD! is being taped, they’ll work two shows in Queretaro or Guadalajara; I’m kinda safely figuring they weren’t being paid much by WWE. There’s no WWE catering at mexican shows, which will hurt some more than others.
I am EAGERLY awaiting next week’s Box Y Lucha to see how they spin this.
