What are (WBC) rings worth?

I was looking at the box score, thinking to myself “this is how Griffey would do if only he got to face the Reds pitchers!” and I got to thinking about the huge HOF crisis of our time. You know, the one they’ve been talking about all week.

Does being awesome (or sucking) in the WBC count towards your HOF chances?

Obviously Griffey’s going in regardless of how many RBIs he gets against South African baseballers. But what if (in an alternate universe) the tournament’s most outstanding turned out to be Miguel Tejada – do voters get to use that information when it comes to vote on him, and how much do they use it?
