No bigger game today this – 1-0! Over the hated in state rival! Well, not really, but now I have plenty of people to taunt about this while similtaneously staying on the NIU football bandwagon if they back their way into a bowl this time.
I think NIU clinched not being the Best W/L Record Without A Bowl team two years straight with the usual Garrett Wolfe super powered win today, though. From what I’ve heard, Pac-10 will not have a team to fill the Silcon Valley Bowl this year, so they’re offering the slot to MAC this year. If Bowling Green beats Toledo (Tuesday, ESPN2), NIU goes to the MAC title game (same confrence record as BG, but beat them head to head) and goes to either Motor City (win) or GMAC (loss), and if Toledo wins, they go to Silcon Valley.
getting back to basketball: if the Ramblers win 12 games, that’ll be an awesome season for them. High hopes, I know, but they just picked up one I didn’t think they’d get.
