Is wrestling, long seen as a bastion of trash and flash, going soft?

No, just trying to class up its act, said Kevin Dunn, WWE executive vice president of television production.

“It’s easy to go lowbrow,” he said. “That’s not where we’re going.”

Of the future diva, he said, “We want someone who can represent the WWE in a classy manner.” The diva doesn’t need to wrestle (but could if she wanted).

– I had my worst day of bowling in the last ten years or something Saturday. Three games, didn’t break 100 a single team. Horrible. It was an artistic performance – I got a spare, and I opened the next frame with a gutterball. Twice, even. I should’ve asked to put up the bumpers.

I did manage to knock down the ten pin – and only the ten pin – to start four straight frames. Sadly, no balloon appeared from the ceiling.

– Have you ever had an idea that you thought was so awesome, but then you started to do it and tinker with a little there and tinker with a little here, and before you know, it it’s neither what you originally had planned or as good as you wanted and you’re so tired of tinkering with it you put it aside before you actually finish it? You get stuck in a tinker cycle and you just want out so much, you kinda defeat the point of starting in the first place? I’m so there with a lucha thing right now – I should just commit to something and start posting.

– WL never paid me for blatantly throwing the predictions last month, so I went 3-2 this time. I did the ones I did this time in under five minutes because I forgot about them till about 10 minutes before the deadline.

– I think it depends on who’s telling you the story when, but I believe they settled on each iteration of Jamie Madrox being a whole and complete being to himself, so the “clone” vs “actual Jamie” argument isn’t really valid – it’s Jamie as much as the one six feet under is Jamie.

But, if it was on the LSAT and you had to give an answer, I’d say Not A Clone. Outside a brainwashing event, the real Jamie Madrox was always the one leading his clones around, and the post-death Madrox was equally in charge. The clones just argue among themselves.

I’m glad I knew from somewhere that the whole build to #150 was a travashamockery, but I just wish I remember where I learned that. And why. Not that I mind because wow did it start to blow near the end.

In summary
01-70 often annoying junk that mucked with a lot of other stuff I enjoyed so I must hate it.
71-92 shockingly fun with people I hadn’t given much credence too; instead of being a second rate versions of others, they’re new interesting funny people
87 (visit to the psychiatrist) – my favorite, and you can tell I need to be getting back to books and less this if my favorite involves tremendous sitting around
92-100 A little less fun because it got serious, though the payoff was fine
100-106 Okay
107 Fun!
108-111 the world’s ending and they’re playing in space, not a good sign
112-131 Random plot jump! Random shuffle! And now they’re second rate version of other people, with retreads of plots that weren’t as interesting as someone obviously thought they were the first time.
132-139 Hey, maybe this reboot will work!
140-149 Okay, maybe this one?

OTOH, the run of books I’m reading now is making some of that stuff look good

– Don’t worry if that just went over your head.
